Personality:Pilot is a daring, outgoing male. You can find him out exploring, defending his terf or laying back and just enjoying the day. He's open to new ideas, and accepts them without much questioning or thought...making him a bit gullible. He's also a lover, and falls for girls faster then you could say "heel". He's protective of his family, and would make a loving father if any lady dared to take him on.
In the face of danger Pilot stands tall, ready to face anything in his way and prepared to die if it means another would live. Pilot's also got a 'odd' sense of humor, his highly innocent yet stupid remarks tend to get a roar of laughs from any onlookers, though most of the time his comedic humor isn't intentional and was actually meant as a serious remark.
History:The black and freezing rain fell from the cloudy sky, the violent wind and roaring thunder tore up the land below. The young Pilot found in the middle of it, walking down the empty road, completely and utterly drenched. His normally beautiful white coat was almost black, he had been out on his own for a week and the wilderness had not been kind. His ribs were protruding from beneath his thin fur coat and it was a surprise he still had the strength to walk. As the next rumble broke the constant patter of rain, Pilot tripped over his large and oversized paws and scraped up against the black asphalt. He whimpered, half from pain, half out of sheer frustration. He was only a few months old, and was already unwanted. It was only a week ago he was in a small cardboard box, warm blankets surrounded his sleeping form, when all of a sudden two large hands scooped him up and tossed him onto the side of the road. Pilot nearly shuddered from the thought. Shakily he returned to his feet and pressed on, but what had he to look forward to? His big ears drooped forwards, his eyes downcast and that is how he wandered. That's when a new rumbling began, and this time it did not come from the sky. The rocks along the road began to clatter against one another as if they had come to life, two bright lights illuminated the darkness. Pilot froze where he stood, standing up tall, giving himself at least a tiny bit of pride. The roar of a horn sounded and pierced his ears making him wince in terror, but even then he remained there. Remained standing. The next thing he remembered was the caressing sound of a woman's voice, that familiar warmth of a blanket wrapped around his shivering body.
-----
The next morning he awoke, the sound of a rooster braking the silence. He immediately jumped to his feet, curious eyes scanning the unknown room which he found himself. Pilot took a cautious step off of the pile of blankets and onto the smooth and cold wood. He stepped back onto the blanket, unsure of this...thing. Again he tried, his eyes staring angrily at the wood as if it had already done him harm. He let a low rumble rise up in his throat which was quickly followed by a bark. He waited for a response from this foe but was surprised to hear nothing but his own heart beat in his chest. Pilot determinedly stepped fully onto the wood, and when he felt truely safe bolted towards the noise of the rooster at the window. He paused after jumping up onto the window sill, seeing the large rooster standing perched on the roof tiles. Pilot cocked his head to one side, the bird was nothing he had ever seen before. He got closer and hit the invisible wall. Glass. He stepped back staring at the outside world and tried again with the same result. His large puppy paw pressed against the glass a fascinated look had now reached his eyes. He sat down on the window sill and returned his gaze onto the land, which was no other then a small country home that doubled as a farm. The whole yard began to stir with life, which only seemed to excite the young pup more. It was possible, yes it was possible that he might actually like it here.
---Two Years Later---
It was another storm, another dark storm accompanied by the darkness and the fear that filled pilots heart. Lightning streaked across the sky, illuminating the dark looming clouds, and leaving eerie shadows in it's wake. Pilot sat on the porch, unlike the other animals found on the farm, he wasn't afraid of the storm, only afraid of what it brought. He just had this feeling when storms came rolling in, and normally something terrible followed. Another strike of lightning came down from the angry heavens and hit one of the large oaks right outside the house. At that pilot was on his toes, a snarl curling on his lips. His large stalky frame silhouetted in the dark. His eyes scanned the trees, danger was out there.....as the minutes ticked by he could hear the rustling and crackling of fallen leaves. That's when the figure showed itself, a man clothed in black accompanied with the scent of a stranger. Immediately the feeling of protectiveness washed over him. This man was not welcome here. The figure neared the house, Pilot making himself appear larger and baring his teeth in warning. The rumble of thunder only personified his own growl that escaped his curling lips. The figure froze naught feet away from the porch. Pilot stepped forward now, letting off the onslaught of barks. The front porch light flicked on, his owner opening the front door. "Pilot?" came the voice. Pilot remained where he stood, still growling at the stranger, his gaze never leaving. "Pilot, what's out there boy?" how could she not see him? He was right there. Pilot stepped closer towards the man, muscles tensing and rippling as he moved. The man pulled an object from beneath his cloak, it reflected a bit of light from the porch....a gun. Seeing the object Pilot lunged forward, sinking his massive jaws into skin. A shot rang out over the man's screams and Pilot's snarls. The woman nearly feignted at the sound from the door way as she rushed inside. The man hit pilot on the skull and shoved the bloke off before staggering to his feet and racing towards the front door. Pilot tried to focus, his vision blurry. His senses numb. He practically tripped as he went bounding after the assailant. The man grabbed the doorhandle, and again Pilot was on him, all 210 pounds. The gun went sprawling from his finger tips and sliding off the porch and from sight.
Moments later red and blue lights were flashing, and Pilot was pulled off of the Man and held back by the woman who was talking soothing words into his ears. The growls continued to grow in his throat but he remained where he was told to sit, never leaving his owners side. Pilot sat protectively in front of her, his eyes watching all the men dangerously, afraid one of them would hurt her.
As the cars drove away, Pilot went inside with the woman. And ever since then, no storms have come rolling over his home ground. And they never shall.
Story[Just a typical day out on the small country home]
The sun shone brightly over the rolling green hills, and casted it's elegant and warming rays upon the forest that stood tall behind the house. A subtle and gentle summer breeze washed over the valley. There on the back porch laid Pilot, his big gigantic form spread out on the smooth creaky wood. His tail created a beat as he wagged it back in forth. It was truely a perfect day. Pilots big eyes were locked on the forest, perking up his ears every now and then as he heard the leaves rustling in the canopy above. That's when he noticed the little brown bunny, whose little form had just appeared from behind one of the neighboring trees. Pilot rolled onto his back, his eyes now locked on the tiny creature, his tounge now flopping out.
Half of him wanted to go bounding after the bouncing ball of fluff, the other half wanted to remain flopped on the porch. He huffed in frustration unsure whether he should investigate or not. On a whim he jumped to his feet, his large paws steadying his horse- like form. He raced off of the porch but slowed as he neared the rabbit, bringing his body low to the ground and inching forward, truly believeing he blended in with the tall green grass, though his practically all white form and scattered black spots did no such thing.
The bunny looked up to easily notice the crouching dog. Finding the dog a danger, it swiftly turned around and hopped off into the treeline. Pilot jumped out from his hiding spot and bounded after the rabbit, his long legs spanning out as he gave chase. The ground seemed to rumble as the baheemith zoomed over the undergrowth of the woods. The poor rabbit was practically having a heart attack.
Pilot spotted the darting rabbit and picked up pace, his jaws opening wide, tounge lapping out. His eyes widened excitedly as he pushed on. Pilot dodged trees, jumped over fallen logs anything and everything to keep up with this little creature, but it only took one slip of a paw to send him stumbling and crashing to the ground. He Panted for a moment, trying to regain his barings and take deep breaths. He was a little disappointed he had lost the rabbit, but that was until he looked around. All the unfamiliar noises, the beautiful colors of the leaves and flowers. The intoxicating scents that wafted through the trees. He returned to his feet, unsure what he should investigate first, all were intriguing and were begging for his undivided attention.
He began sniffing a rather peculiar tree who had no equal. It was taller then all the others, it's branches were thicker, and held the most vibrant and perfect green leaves. It's roots fanned out nearly ten feet and were as thick as his muscular legs. He then noticed around the massive tree a pool of water which flowed in several streams down a small slope to other pools beyond. He stepped around the tree base, awestruck by the beauty and got lost up into it's branches. Stepping forward to get a better look he tripped on a root and came crashing to the ground, his big behind sticking awkwardly in the air. That's when again he spotted the bunny who had poked it's head out of a burrow by the edge of the pool. Pilots eyes widened, and slowly righted himself, cautiously nearing the animal. His nose dropped to the ground near the rabbit and sniffed, the bunny almost being vaccumed in his large nostrils. Pilot sat down and just watched it, both locked in a duel of sight, neither giving the other slack. After an intense hour of staring the bunny clambered from the hole and approached the dog, seeing as he hadn't attacked, the bunny felt it was safe enough to walk around. Pilot picked up a paw and placed it over the bunny and pulled the little creature in towards his stumach. Feeling satisfied he had won, he released his tounge and licked the rabbit, drool plastering his head. Pilot sighed in content before flopping over and closing his eyes.
