EXAMPLE KOMPETITION
This is an example kompetition, so everyone can see exactly how I run them.

Novice Track Race
OPEN/CLOSED

For kreatures whose Speed, Agility, and Stamina levels are between 5 and 15.
OR
For kreatures who have participated in less than 10 Track Races.

Step One
Make sure to know which Skills are being used.

Since I'm doing a Track Race example, the Skills used are Speed, Agility, and Stamina.

Step Two
Write out the Skill points for each contestant.

Since all of these contestants have never been in a kompetition, their Skill points are all 5.

Powder
Speed: 5, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

Turquoise
Speed: 5, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

Robin
Speed: 5, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

Gumdrop
Speed: 5, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

Step Three
Figure out which class level the contestants are in.

Class level determines how many points can be added or subtracted to Skills.

These contestants are all in Novice Class Level 1, so they can only have 1 to 5 points added or subtracted.

Step Four
Determine competition factors.

Competition factors are determined by a random number generator.
Weather affects all contestants the same, but other competition factors will affect each contestant differently.

For this competition, the weather was Rainy. So everyone got 1 to 5 points deducted from their Speed.

Powder
Speed: 5 - 4 = 1, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

Turquoise
Speed: 5 - 2 = 3, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

Robin
Speed: 5 - 2 = 3, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

Gumdrop
Speed: 5 - 1 = 4, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

For this competition, the contestants Powder, Turquoise, and Robin were all in Good Health. Their Stamina was not affected.
However, Gumdrop had Ill Health and was deducted points from their Stamina as a result.

Speed: 1, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

Turquoise
Speed: 3, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

Robin
Speed: 3, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5

Gumdrop
Speed: 4, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5 - 3 = 2

Step Five
Add up all the Skill points!

After all the adding, subtracting, or no change in points, the totals of the Skills are added up!

Powder
Speed: 1, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5
Total: 11

Turquoise
Speed: 3, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5
Total: 13

Robin
Speed: 3, Agility: 5, Stamina: 5
Total: 13

Gumdrop
Speed: 4, Agility: 5, Stamina: 2
Total: 11

As it just so happens, Turquoise and Robin tied for first and Powder and Gumdrop tied for second.
I'm hoping this won't happen too often because people will be buffing up their kreatures.

Step Six
Skill levels increase by 1!

Now that the competition is over, the four contestants would all increase their Speed, Agility, and Stamina by 1.
So next time they enter a Track Race, their Skill levels in Speed, Agility, and Stamina would be 6 instead of 5.
ONLY the Skills used in the specific competition are what increase, not any of the other Skills available.
So to increase Beauty or other Skills this way, the kreatures would have to enter the other competitions.
Keep in mind though that certain kreatures can't enter certain competitions. So there may be Skills that are not needed!

Also, I put up a species variation section here in this thread so everyone knows what kreature is what.

Remember, only certain kreatures can enter certain kompetitions! So if you want to join in the Track Race, you need a Kaboodle (the bird with the long neck) or a Kydeer (the deer like ones)!
