~Celestia~ wrote:It seems pretty intriguing. But who is that man? What us their relationship? How does this effect both characters? Could you write a scene from the man's point of view?

Good luck with it. ^^ I'm gonna go do some work on Crawling in the Darkness, now... Gotta use Write or Die for motivation.

As I said... thats all I have so far. XD I'm going to think over those questions though, and hopefully find some answers once I finish up my NaNoNovel. ^.^

How do you look at your hands if your asleep?

You look at your... Dream hands? It only works if you are in first person (I guess you could call it that), because you can't really make someone you're watching look at their hands.
But yeah.
I did some drawings for one of the book ideas I had. The one with the photo album.

I tend to lucid dream as you call it when I'm semi-conscious. You know, when you're half asleep. I once had a dream I was a ninja, and controlled every aspect of it. It was weird, and I've done it a few times all together. When I do though, I get so much inspiration.

Anyway, the inspiration stuff really works!

I often times figure out that I'm dreaming, but I still lack the ability to control my dreams. I usually just sit there and scream at myself as I do stupid things. Still get much inspiration, though. I had an awesome dream about an airship the other night!

Now, I'm about to do something daring, stupid, crazy: edit my novel!!!!!!! My goal is to have the first edit and a new outline finished by February 14th. The sooner the better, but I have school so I want some room for schoolwork. Anyway, off to convince my dad to let me print 160 pages worth of manuscript!

What will we call you: Aqua, Alise, whatever. :3
What are your goals as an author? (list at least three) -Finish my 366 Experiment, -Finish 'W.I.N.,D', and -First manuscript over 100 pages.
Can you give us a sample of your writing? Can I edit this in? It's all saved on my other computer. ><
Are you currently working on any books? Yes and no, on and off. It depends whether I'm feeling it.
Why do you want to join? I would like to chat with others about writing, maybe get some new ideas, and it looked fun.^-^
Do you have published books yet? Not yet, but I hope to soon, possibly self-publishing.
Do you wish to find a "writing partner"? Sure, if anyone's open for it. ^-^
What Role(s): .?
What's your favorite Genre? Realistic Fiction/Fantasy
What kind of books do you write?; Probably leaning towards Fantasy most of the time. Realistic setting, situation, but mixes of magic and talking animals, sorcery and the like.
Not around much longer except to get rid of most of my pet collection (probably while also amassing art). If anyone's still interested, I'm still eating my weight in carbs, I'm just working retail now to burn it off instead of running cross country, unfortunately. :)
I have the attention span of a squirrel, please don't take it personally. c:

I feel like posting the plot to a story that I gave up writing, but you can find here (it's a CS pet journal/diary that I wrote when I kept writing/saying things in Hebrew although people usually had no clue what I said/wrote, and in the story I wrote the English translation of the word before/after I wrote it x3). But I barely remember the plot. Plus I'd probably just add sad parts because I'm angry and depressed and kill off more characters than planned. And then add more unnecessary characters. And kill them off. Then kill the antagonist/protagonist's best friend. Then get the actual protagonist to try to kill the protagonist, but kill another one of the protagonists. Then something will explode. And then more characters will die. And a bunch more stuff I wasn't really planning...

Also, about the lucid dreaming stuff, I think I lucid dreamed once, but it was when I was 7. I forgot what it was about, though. I know it involved horses. And hugging. And dying. Yeah, very strange dreams for a 7-yearold.

160 pages? That may take some convincing on your part! Good luck!

(I've never actually done it, but I heard it somewhere most-likely trustworthy)
I wonder if you guys already said that.

Gah, that never works for me. /: I've looked at my hands many times but it never triggered that "Oh! I'm dreaming" realization. But all this talk of lucid dreaming really makes me want to try it again. My dad has some books on it, but those don't really hold my attention. I joined this forum a while back for lucid dreamers, but forgot my password and the 'send me a new password' button wouldn't work, so I just never went back.

I think I may have had something like an intense daydream once when I was a kid. I was in bed trying to sleep and I just started seeing things all around me. I was young and so it scared the heck out of me, but when I remember it I find it so cool. I mainly remember it raining in my room, I remember seeing the drops on my pillow, and I saw fairies above me on the window. The fairies were what scared me, but I loved the rain. I remember trying to wake my sister up but she got mad at me and wouldn't listen.

But I've never experienced anything like that since. I guess I'll take up my dream journal again. Sometimes I just record them on my iPod and then write them down later.

As for writing... I have all these ideas but just don't feel like writing. Maybe tomorrow.
Today I have to write an essay on what urine is. -_-
Suppose I need to get started on it.

Just thought I'd write a celebratory rant thingy regarding being able to sit down with 'Write or Die' and produce 2, 364 words! :'D
How did I ever become this focused?!

^ This can work, but it's not a guarantee. In Lucid dreaming you program yourself to notice certain things in dreams. Usually it's something like *if i can move my hands (cognitively) i'm dreaming* and then you proceed to do something impossible to prove it - such as walk through a wall / fly / something like that

@Aqualeaf - Once you provide an example of your writing i'll review your application again :)

So today i was feeling very creative! So i got out my tablet and went a little crazy doodling a map XD i've never tried map-drawing before, but i think it's going alright... it's definitely given me some perspective of how much i expect my characters to travel in the story... Now i'm worried that if i make it more.. realistic (they seems to have to travel thousands of miles.. i wonder how long it would actually take XD) the whole thing will take place on a tiny island (which isn't the point :(! It's meant to be like.. the world!... kind of..) but meh *shrugs*

I dunno :D i felt like putting that in here ^_^;
