Mine usually end up looking spanish, since I love Andalusians so much <3 I'm still trying to choose what breed to draw next, since I already did an arabian (it sucks, but I'm not really a fan of arabians so I don't care too much).

I find that the easiest way to make a breed clear, even if you don't get the conformation exactly right, is to pick a few defining features of that breed to really work on (for the friesian, this would be the set of the neck, shape of the head, curling mane and tail, and feathering) The friesian has an unmistakable silhouette, which is why it's both easy and difficult to draw one that looks right.

Well I love me some quarter horses so maybe that's why. I will try that next time though, thanks for the tip!
