Blurb :

I'd met Pomegranate Splatter just let every other person; deciding to adopt a pet, going to the pound. I remember it clearly; the place was crowded, flooded with hoards of people, young and old, trying to get their hands on her. I’d never known why people wanted the robotic animal so much. But it did have that spark… The one that made you think, Wow. This one is the one. I slightly remember the owner, trying to gain control of the surge of people as the filled out papers, tossing them to her and waiting to see if they earned the rabbit.

I managed to push my way through the crowd, achieving a good look at the hare. Its shiny metal coat was a bright, lime green, with explosions of emeralds and purples scattered over its small, curled up body. Eyes closed, it lies down on its side, seeming almost scared of the popularity the creature received.

That’s when I took a form, using a small pen with ink as black as night to fill it out. My name, a date and a small story. I remember pondering my thoughts, my pen gliding across the paper, as I do now.

Blurb:An ordinary day; that's how it was. Or, at least, it appeared ordinary at the time. An ordinary girl volunteering at an ordinary pound.
She was sitting behind the front desk, looking out a window, her pen preforming a tap dance atop the wood and paper. Suddenly the pen fell silent, the sound of car tires crunching over gravel taking its place. The door of the navy blue car opened; a woman stepped out, opening the door of the backseat and ducking inside. She retrieved a sleeping rabbit, its shining coat a lime green streaked with a lovely aqua and splattered delicately with a royal violet. The woman carried it carefully in her arms; the girl stared at the rabbit in awe. She stood, walking around the desk to open the door. With no explanation, the woman handed her the rabbit and was gone. The rabbit's ears, dusted with white, flicked slightly and it opened one eye to look up at the girl.
Pomegranate Splatter.
She didn't know why, but the moment the name occurred to the girl, she realized that perhaps she had some sort of special connection with the rabbit...

I walked up to a glass window, pressing her face to it, and looked longingly at the wonderful creatures beyond. My gaze greedily took in tiny kittens playing with string, and adorable puppies wrestling each other. But my eyes were drawn to a dusty cage in the back, where a small form twitched a long ear. I hesitated, then pulled open the door to the shop. I went straight to that little creature in the back, huddled against the rusty bars of the cage. As I approached, the creature, shifted, and beautiful purple eyes looked at me. The creature inside the cage hopped forward, its shiny green nose sniffing the air. I reached out a hesitant hand, and touched the bunnies head. My fingers met cold metal, and I squeaked. The little rabbit rubbed its head against my fingers, and I smiled for the first time in weeks. She was beautiful, and meant to be my friend. I dug in my pocket, and pulled out two copper pennies. I gave them to the man who ran the store, and walked home with a cage holding Pomegranate Splatter, my new best friend

Blurb: I sat in the corner of the house, watching with hatred as my parents argued and bickered. That's all they ever did, argue and bicker. They never seemed to care about my sister and I. If they did, they would spend more time with us and less time fighting. But no, that's never what happened. Everyday life was like being in a cold pound and looking for love, just like what Pomegranate Splatter was going through. Pomegranate Splatter and I, we needed each other. One day, as I was walking down the streets of town I saw the Cyber-Bunnies pound. My heart thudded against my chest as I pressed my cold fingers against the glass. There lay a tiny robotic rabbit with dazzling green splats and charming purple spots everywhere on its metal fur. I was simply mesmerized and I knew from that moment on that she was the rabbit to restore that broken and empty space inside of me. I walked inside quickly and grabbed a pen and form.

Chry, I have a question.... Because my art contest entry has items, and I totally fail at drawing most of the Cyber-Bunnies, I was wondering if I could use one of the bunnies that I have for a sort of "model".
I won't be editing it, I'm just going to draw out [on top of the bunny] where the items are going to go....
So, I was just wondering if that would be okay....
