Thanks c: By the way, what's this god/goddess thing about? I'm feeling too lazy to go search for a answer. ;}
They say, "Why can't fellows be allowed to do what they like when they like and as they like, instead of other fellows sitting on banks and watching them all the time and making remarks and poetry and things about them?"

The contest is to create and write a kind of a background for whichever god/goddess you make up. Then there'll be another contest for a drawing of the god/goddess.

I really wish I could update the front page, guys, so pass along information wouldn't be so hard. I'm considering making a separate thread just to keep track of information, if the mods let me.

What will we call you:
Uh, you can call me Notza, Lyla, NotzaLyla, Moonheart, Moon or MoonheartTheWarrior (Last three where from my previous username), although I prefer Moon/Moonheart :3
What are your goals as an author? (list at least three)
I want to write a book series, with at least 5 books, and post them on CS, and (this is part of this goal, not a seperate one) I have a goal of having at least 2 people read it. But I'd be lucky to get one person to read it...
I also want to write a book that isn't written in first person. I tend to write in first person and first person annoys me a bit... :/
I want to get at least one of my books published.
I want to write a book that has a fairly original plot.
Can you give us a sample of your writing? (one paragraph or more)
(This was taken from a story I've decided to not write any more; it's about a female cat who is mute (can't talk). It took about half an hour to write :3) wrote:I wake up with a start, trembling from my horrible nightmare. After a few seconds, I realize it was just a dream, and I get up from the cold, stone floors of the city and looked around. Typical, they've already left. But the sun hasn't even set yet... I thought, confused. Hmm... Well, they probably just wanted to get a head start and be able to hunt earlier. It is Winter now, after all. Prey's gotta be scarce...
I decide to sit down near the entrance to the alley, knowing there's no point in hunting now; how could a small, mute she-cat find a few cats hunting in this huge, smelly city? But then again, how would I defend our alley from anything if I can't yowl a warning to the few cats left in the alley? As I wonder about what I could be doing right now, a tom walks up behind me.
"Hello." he says, and I nearly jump out of my fur. The tom chuckles as I try to smooth out my ruffled fur, occasionally glaring at him. You know, just because your the leader's son doesn't mean you can do whatever you want! I felt like yelling, but knew it was no use, even if I could talk. "You are one easily scared she-cat, you know that?" he asks, with a bit of a humorous tone to his voice. As I can't speak, I hope he'll take my glaring as an answer to his question. "Ookay" he mutters, half to himself, and walks away.
That brat... I guess there's no point in trying to yell at him, but it doesn't hurt to dream to be able to. I guess... "Hi!" a couple high-pitched voices squeak and I'm caught off-guard again. And this time it's by a couple of kits.
I fall backwards a bit, and then two small kits start jumping all over me for no apparent reason. I felt like screaming at them to get off me, but just shook my head after a few failed attempts. After a couple minutes, I see my older-by-a-few-minutes brother coming into our alleyway, with two she-cats, one whom I've never seen before, and two toms following him. I can recognize all of the cats except for that one she-cat. Who, from over here, looks a bit crazy. I guess she might be from another group of cats, but probably from another quarter of the city... I've never seen any strangers in our territory, except for humans and some dogs and, occasionally, some cats wearing collars and clothing, and everyone knows, except for the youngest kits, that those cats are no harm, just some human pets.
As the two kits start jumping over each other, trying to get to the cats who just returned first, I finally notice the moon is up. [i]The sun must of set a couple minutes ago.
I think. As I get up to my paws, a couple other cats start running over me, I don't know why but I'm guessing their mates must of just returned from hunting, I notice one of my paws is twisted in a strange way...

Are you currently working on any books?
Well, I'm currently writing a book about a bat, but I'm not thinking of posting it anywhere, and I'm also starting a warriors fan-fiction on a different forum. I'm also thinking if I should write two stories to follow two plots that've been in my head for a few months. But I'm going to do the firsts one I came up with last because I fail at writing humans. Plus I love the second plot I came up with. Although it seems a little bit like the Hunger Games... But I came up with it before I read the first book of the Hunger Games... :/
Why do you want to join?
Well, this looks very interesting. I'm not quite sure what you do here, but I'm guessing we can just chat with other authors, give each other ideas if someone has no idea for a plot/character/setting/etc. or maybe just have fun when we have writers block. But I'm not quite sure what we do here yet, I just found this thread about 6/7 minutes ago...
Do you have published books yet?
No, but I wish to have at least one book published :3
Do you wish to find a "writing partner"?
Is that, like, writing a story with someone else? Sort of like Erin Hunter (author of Warrior Cats/Seekers)? But Erin Hunter is three/four people...
Sure, it seems interesting.
What Role(s):
I'm an author, but I occiasonally (well actually, very rarely...) write poems, but I'm pretty bad at them and I think the last time I made a decent poem was 3 years ago x3
What's your favorite Genre?
Animal fiction, drama, mystery and books with magic in them :3
What kind of books do you write?
Books about animals in first person. I don't know why, but I feel uncomfortable when it comes to writing about humans/things that're like humans... :/

Username: TheHumanStarfish
What will we call you: Most people call me Starfish, but some shorten it right down to T.H.S. Either is fine. :3
What are your goals as an author? (list at least three)
1. To finish my latest short (ish!) story, and edit it.
2. To have one of my completed works published, one day in the future.
3. I want to creat a whole universe surrounding my books. Preferably as original as possible.
Can you give us a sample of your writing? (one paragraph or more)
(Taken from one of my latest stories, Playing Hearts. I believe it's posted on here.)
And then I heard it. A beeping. I wiped my eyes and listened more closely. It was a small sound, but it was definitely there. Beep. I slowly stood up and trod around the glass, careful to not cut my toes. Beep. I knew it wasn’t coming from my phone, that much was obvious. I also knew it wasn’t coming from any other phone, either. Both my parents were at work and they always took their mobiles with them. We didn’t have a landline phone. No. The beeping wasn’t from a phone. I made my way towards the door, heart hammering so hard I thought it would break through my ribs. Beep. I slowly reached my hand out and let it touch the ornate handle of the door that lead into my bedroom. I let it slowly slide down to the lock. Beep. I began to twist my wrist, ready to unlock the door. But something stopped me. I often found that. When faced with a choice that could possibly lead to dangerous consequences, you often stop yourself before you made the wrong decision. It’s a gut feeling, an intuition. Something that saves you before you fall so far over the edge there’s nothing that could possibly pull you back up. Whatever it was, I stopped. I took my hand off the lock so fast it was like it burned to touch it. Beep.

I bent down and lay my head on the floor, so my eyes could see through the gap under the door and above the floor. Beep. After I brushed away the glass gently with my hand, of course. I really don’t need glass in my head. That’s the last thing I’d want. When I peered through the gap, all I saw was black. I thought I’d left the light off in my room when I’d gone to bathroom, but here it was, switched off. Maybe it was a power cut. Maybe the beeping sound was the smoke alarms doing that battery-back up beeping thing they do when there’s a power cut. Then I realised I was an idiot. The light was still on in the bathroom…even if the shade had broken. No, it couldn’t be a…The blackness just moved. The blackness just moved. It just moved and the empty space it left was full of light from my bedroom lamp. I looked closer at the ‘darkness’, and realised what, exactly, it really was. A shoe. A shoe with a foot inside. A foot that was attached to a leg. A leg that belonged to a person. A person was standing outside my bathroom door, waiting. Beep. What was that sound? Ignoring it for just a second, I tried to sort out the mess of thoughts that were trying to flood my brain, overcome every rational thought and create chaos and panic. It was doing a pretty good job. Ok, so something –not a phone or smoke alarm-was beeping. Someone dressed in black was outside my door, in my room. Someone dressed in black. What did that tell me? Who wore black? Burglars. Burglars wore black. It was a burglar. But why would a burglar wait outside a bathroom door for me to come out? He’d be rubbing his hands in glee and nicking all the stuff of value right now, not waiting. So, it wasn’t a burglar.

Are you currently working on any books? Yes. Playing Hearts, an extract of which is shown above, and one other, which is currently just coming out of the planning stages.
Why do you want to join? I would like to join so I could communicate with people who share my interests, essentially. But I would also like to help those who ask for it, and ask for help myself. After all, two heads are better than one!
Do you have published books yet? No. I would like too, though. I'm currently looking in to it.
Do you wish to find a "writing partner"? Perhaps. I'm not particularly looking for one right now, but I think I'd be open to the idea later on.
What Role(s): Author.
What's your favorite Genre? I don't really have a favourite genre. I often find myself reading anything from crime to romance. I read anything that takes my fancy, really. If it's got relatable characters and an exciting plot, you'll find me reading it, regardless of genre, most of the time.
What kind of books do you write? I usually find myself writing action/adventure books, with hints of comical and romantic elements.

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window, darling
Everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone

You could ask one of them to transfer ownership of the first posts to you; they've done that before.
