Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?:
I would really love to get this character because I was going around some character adoption agencies, and I'm collecting up afew new characters that need a new, loving owner c: I thought that a Great Dane character would be interesting, and I love big dog breeds, plus, his colours and markings are gorgeous!
Personality:
Jak is shy and quiet. He is ambitious and determined, and stubborn when he wants to be, and this Great Dane is alot stronger that he looks. Jak is a brave, loyal and reliable dog, but he has a short temper so you shouldn't try to annoy him, but Jak usually is quite kind and laid-back. He is usually one of the first to get up in the morning, but also one of the first to get to sleep at night. This canine is almost always hungry, but he loves running, jumping and going for long walks in the country. He is a skilled hunter and is willing to learn but he likes to get her own way, and can be quite hard to get his attention as he lacks focus, though he's very athletic and because he is always full of energy, you just need to channel that energy, and if you do that, he will be very focused. Jak is clever and friendly, but not the most obedient of dogs, though he is still young, so he has alot to learn still.
Jak is also very greedy, and is constantly begging for food. Occasionally, he does get a little tubby, so it is important to watch his weight. He just needs some love and attention, and Jak loves a good cuddle.
History:
''A PUPPY!'' the little girl shrieked, lifting the puppy out of the large box, he had a large, red bow tied around his neck. The puppy barked with happiness, he had a new home! ''Purebred Great Dane, dear.'' the girl's father patted the pup's head, ''I will call him Jak!'' the little girl smiled and hugged Jak close.
As the weeks past, Jak grew bigger, and so did the girl. She lost interest in the black and white puppy, and began to ignore him more and more. ''I'M BORED!!!'' she would yell, ''Then play with Jak.'' her father would pick up Jak and hold him out to the little girl, ''No! I don't WANT to play with that stupid beast.'' Jak sighed and whimpered, no body loved him. That night, the spoilt girl's father threw the great dane into a box and left him at the side of a quiet road.

'So thirsty... So hungry...' Jak thought, lying in the dark, soggy cardboard box. He winced as a burst of light entered the box, ''Oh, you poor thing!'' a woman's voice came from outside the box. Jak suddenly felt his body being lifted out the box, he was emaciated and weak. He was brought to the vets, checked up and fed and watered. Jak felt much better afterwards, but his heart still ached from being thrown out.
Several weeks later, Jak was bigger and stronger. He was back to his normal weight. Every day he watched dogs coming and going, being brought in as small, weak little pups and leaving as strong, happy dogs going to their new home. Yet no-one even gave a second glance at Jak. He was an adult, and he had been told that everyone wanted puppies, and he was very big. People didn't like big dogs. Jak watched and waited, waited for his time to go to a new home...

Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?:
My hope is to adore this dog- she is so pretty yet simple in a way I adore. I am thinking of totally piling her up with art, and possibly RPing with her, since she is perfect for those- especially the roleplays that are realistic only, the ones I like and usually RP in. You can be assured she will be a top favorite, and will be used often!

Also, I just adore her XD She has the perfect personality, I can see it just by looking at those darling eyes... She is absolutely the most perfect adoptable for me here, and I have no doubt about it.

Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?: I would like the equine in Kennel 40, because I do plan on drawing and hopeful ordering artwork featuring the horse. I also plan on roleplaying her as a character to if that is acceptable if not that I am more than delighted to just do works of arts with her.
Personality: Rossi is rather spirited for a mare she excels in Haute Ecole level dressage even though she finds it mundane and tiresome when she would rather be on exhibition and in the show jumping arena. She is also determined and independent. Most think she is an airhead even though she is rather intelligent and fond of escaping from her stall to visit other horses. She is also fond of stealing grain from the grain storage area.
History: Born at a stud farm in Alva in Basque Country, she was sold as a yearling to a farm in Portugal where she began learning modern Dressage till her owner decided her better fit for competing in Haute Ecole, instead of three day eventing or musical freestyle. He began training to compete in Haute Ecole as a three year old mare. By the time she was four she mastered the Airs above ground unsaddled and saddled. She was sold shortly after her mastery to an Olympic rider who planned on continuing her training as a three day event horse for the upcoming Olympics. However do to injury she was forced to sell her horses. That is when she was sold to another rider.
Other: Breed Infomation is based on the Iberian Warmblood Registry and the International Andalusian and Lusitanio Registry for Half Andalusians. Half Andalusians must either have and S, P, or S/P parent. S is used to identify andalusians from Spanish Stud books and P is used to identify Andalusians from the Portugal Stud books making them Lusitanios. S/P shows both stud books. The Iberian Warmbloods require at least 25% of iberian blood.

☾ Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character? ☽
I would like this character because he's so... I'm not sure what the word is. He's not stupidly simple, but he's simple in a pleasant way, like having a sweet ice cream instead of an extravagant dessert. Might not be as large, but it still tastes sweet. I hope you understand what I'm getting at. I'm not extremely good at expressing myself. Icarius is a very nice character in general, with beautiful patterns and colours. To be honest, I wasn't intending to get a natural dog character. The idea's appealed to me in the past, but I haven't followed through with the train of thought. I actually ventured here looking for a new character with a wide array of colours. Originally, I had filled out a different form completely for a different character, then I spotted this one and that decided it. He was much better than a regular character who flaunted bright colours. Sometimes bright is better, but not in this case. His colours are perfect. Harlequin is my favourite colour of Great Dane, which makes Icarius an even more appealing dog. Great Danes are the perfect breed of dog, large but gentle and affectionate, so I think they would make excellent characters to own. Big dog breeds have always been my favourite, since they're big enough to hug and have a gorgeous deep bark.

If I get this character, I will settle him down in my character thread(which, sadly, is still a work in progress). I will make sure he isn't left dusty and unused on a metaphorical shelf. He will get art, both custom and lineart colour-ins, at least every month. When I gather enough courage to make a proper website to put my characters on, he will be placed there, to be displayed and loved by all. Naturally, he would get stories which star and feature him.

☾ Personality ☽
Icarius is a lot of things. Friendly, at first. If you make a bad first impression, he isn't one to forgive easily. He doesn't forget and he tends to hold grudges. Normally, even if he starts the arguments he may have, he'll act stone cold until he gets an apology. It's a flaw of his; he's proud and when his pride is injured he normally retreats from society, hating to be humiliated or embarrassed. And he's awkward around females, having no idea what to say or do. When you get to know him, Icarius is affectionate and loyal. But this is another sort of flaw. If someone he knows and loves will start at him, he'll allow himself to be put down, not fighting back. Even at the risk of his pride and dignity, he can't bear to hurt someone he trusts. It's just not his nature. Arguing and grudges aside, Icarius really is a gentle giant, with a soft heart and a placid personality. Though he hasn't had a completely happy history, his personality hasn't grown bitter or pessimistic.

Icarius has hydrophobia - a fear of water. He's fine with drinking it, but he hates the rain and is terrified of oceans, lakes, ponds etc.
He also has arachnophobia, meaning he is scared of spiders. Even harmless house spiders, he goes wild, most often to be found cowering in another room. Tarantulas make him feel nauseated and weak, causing him to get as far away from the arachnid as fast as he can. This extends to scorpions, which in his opinion are worse than spiders. Scuttling around, with their awful stingers. Generally, he stays away from places with a warm climate, to avoid meeting them.

☾ History ☽
The Dane plodded through the dark streets, the steady rain falling over his blotchy coat, feeling like a million tiny pebbles were pouring over him. His ears were back, doing his best to keep the water from his sensitive ears. He hated the rain, yet he had no other path to take. The year was 2128, and surprisingly little had changed in the world. The humans still polluted, still wrecked the Earth. But now the animals were evolving, getting smarter and stronger.
Icarius shook his head, emerging from an alley, his eyes searching the landscape before him. It was a hill, sparsely dotted with bushes which held no berries or fruits, despite the season. Over the years, scientists' experiments and projects had warped the land, preventing the plants from bearing sustenance among other things. Leaves were dull and fragile, and trunks of trees no longer had a protection of bark. Thankfully, the animals of the world had other ways of getting food. There was artificial meat, stolen from human dwellings, other types of food invented by experimental scientists, as the lack of plant-based foods were causing problems for the human race as well. And, of course, there was Istystira. The one place where plants grew abundantly, food was plentiful and animals were free, untainted by the touch of Homo sapiens. This was where Icarius was headed, reporting after a mission to see what the humans were doing, and that they were still away from Istystira, in their chemical-swamped settlements. Silent, the brute started to ascend the hill, his rough paw pads feeling the whisper of grass against his feet. As he walked, he tried to figure out what was so different about Istystira to the rest of Earth. The fact that everything functioned normally was the most obvious. Icarius struggled to remember what Fenris had told him. Fenris was the leader of the beautiful haven Istystira, and she was a very stubborn fae. She had risked her life and worse, getting as much information as she could get. Apparently, a newfound element named Enory was rich in the ground where Istystira was. Somehow, it wasn't found anywhere else. That had to be what made everything right there. Icarius broke into a lope, long legs eating the ground up as he quickened his pace. He was eager for food and rest, and to convey the information he had gathered. It wasn't much, but at least it was something. After around 15 minutes of a steady pace, the grass seemed to soften and caress his fur as it gradually grew the further he went. Soon, he reached a cave, into which he strode without fear. He had done this many times. Ears alert, he walked to the back wall and felt around with his nose. A hidden panel slid aside, revealing light. Icarius went through, hearing a hiss as the wall closed up behind him. Eagerly, he followed the path of sandstone, going towards the center of Istystira. It didn't take him long to get there.
"Fenris. I have news." The Great Dane murmured, dipping his head submissively. The wolf nodded, her silvery eyes watching him.
"Speak, Icarius."
"The humans are making a move to attack. They must have found out about Istystira somehow." He said, raising his eyes to meet hers. "They are sending a huge force of armed soldiers."
Fenris's tail lashed in agitation. "We must fight. We cannot allow humans to spoil our land. It is vital that we all get out of Istystira and meet them before the humans reach the cave."
Icarius nodded. "Yes, Fenris." He backed up a step as she turned to face her personal messenger, a cheetah.
"Spread the word. Get everyone to gather their forces and meet here. It is time to fight."
