Personality:
Lapis is a very devoted, goal-oriented young wolf. She always tries to stay on top of things and do her fair share, if not more. Along with her responsible side Lapis tends to be quite playful and free-spirited. She can often be found playing around with her friends. Lapis tends to be well liked and respected by her peers as well as her elders, however she is not one for attention. She does not like having the spotlight. Lapis does her best to stay out of drama, however if her friends need her she will always be there for them. She tends to be very curious about new things, but if to much "new" is thrown at her she may become anxious or stressed.Occasionally Lapis may seem distant or distracted, as she is thinking of the ocean.

History:
Lapis grew up in a southern oceanic tribe of wolves called the Havasupai (People of the Blue Green Water). Her first memories are of the salty sent of the ocean and the rocky sand underneath her paws. In her tribe everyone was treated as equals except for the Acolapissa (Those Who Listen and See), who was the tribes Leader/Healer. The tribes camp was located on a wide, flat piece of beach that was several yards away from where the water washed up at high tide. Their dens were dugouts in the sand. It rained at least twice a week where the tribe lived. The only time the tribe moved further inland was when there was a large storm coming their way, however these storms were few. The tribe lived off of crabs that they would catch along the beach, but occasionally a few wolves would travel into the the nearby forest and bring back a variation of fruit, which was considered a delicacy for the the ocean wolves.
Lapis growing up as a young pup was able to play safely along the ocean shore with her friends, knowing she was safe from harm. From dawn till dusk the little pups would romp on the beach, creating new games, swimming, pestering the crabs that would later become their lunch, or racing the gulls down the beach. As she grew older, Lapis started doing more for the tribe without being told. She would go to the forest and bring back fresh leaves to line the dugouts in or catch crabs for those who were wither to old or to young to fend for themselves. Although she was still young and could be quite energetic and may be considered wild, Lapis was widely respected. When Lapis turned one, the Acolapissa of the tribe came to her and asked her to become his successor. Lapis having no wishes to become leader of the tribe, turned down his offer.
A month following the Acolapissa coming to Lapis a storm coming their way was sensed. The Acolapissa estimated that they had about a week and a half to evacuate camp to a go to a sister tribe that was further inland. However the estimation was far from correct as the storm was moving much faster than expected. The storm hit within the next few days, devastating the tribe. Having no time to go anywhere else, the tribe moved to the nearby forest to wait out the storm. Lapis and a few other wolves had been going back and forth from the tribes camp to the forest helping the elderly get to safety. On a final sweep of the camp, a large wave came crashing down upon the beach, washing Lapis away and into the ocean.
The next thing Lapis remembers after being swept away was being prodded awake by two odd male wolves in very different kind of surroundings then from where she was swept away from. She had washed much further north from where where her tribe was located. The beach she now lay on was rather a slim strip of dirt rather than the vast rocky sand she was used to. She was surround by a thick deciduous forest that was new to her, as she had never seen many of these trees that inhabited it. She was used to the little tropical trees and palms that grew in the forest by the camp. And the wolves, the two that stood before her were different than her and the other tribe wolves. These wolves were of dark color and had unusual designs. The wolves of her tribe were all white with cold colored tribal patterns scattered across their pelt.
Regardless of Lapis's bewilderment and fear of her new surroundings, she went with the two other wolves to their small cave-like den, where she recovered. The two wolves, Shatter and Loke where a lone pair of friends that belonged to no tribe or pack. They took care of Lapis when she was week and explained to her how they had found her and where she was. In return she told them where she had come from and that all she wanted was to return to her tribe. Shatter and Loke regretfully had to tell her that she was far from home and that if she went on foot it would take her many, many months to get there and that was only if she could find it. Completely disheartened Lapis decided to stay with the two wolves until she found an affective way to get home. As time went on Lapis continuously came up short with ideas on how to get home. However, the longer she stayed with the two other wolves the more she became fond of them and and the forest she now inhabited. She then begins to question whether she should return home or if she should remain living with Loke and Shatter.
This is where Lapis stands now, her mind in a state of war on whether to find a way home or stay with her two new friends.
Family:
Mother: Coral Ula (Ula meaning "Sea Jewel.") Not much is known about Lapis's mother, as she died giving birth to Lapis and her sister. However Lapis is told that she takes after her mother in appearance and in spirit. Lapis's mother was also sister to the current Acolapissa.
Father: Beryls Callan (Callan meaning "Flowing Water.") Lapis's father was a strong wolf who had yellow tribal designs that framed his pelt. After losing his mate Coral, Beryls put all his effort and time into raising Lapis and her sister. Because of this, Lapis had a strong relationship with him.
Siblings: Lapis has one sister, Lazuli Assana (Assana meaning "Waterfall.") Lapis's sister Lazuli shared the same tribal pattern as her dad that had the same blue color as Lapis and Corals tribal marks. Lazuli did not share the same devoted, playful behavior as Lapis. No, Lazuli was the opposite, she much preferred to stick to her own.
