Yes you can, the pearl goes along with which species so if you have a particular one in mind you would need that colour pearl (like if you wanted a themed kitsune you would need green) or if you wanted to leave it up to me you could choose any pearl and I would pick a species in that pearl's colour (like if you had a green pearl I could pick any of the uncommon species).
