"What's wrong?" I asked Hivani as she shook violently, "Ahzen" Inasdo whispered and looked to the north, I frowned and watched as my darkest ahzenai made his way over to the door waiting patiently to leave. Duriel walked silently alongside me as we wandered waiting for an entrance to ahzen to reveal itself to the two us, Duriel remained silent as was the norm for him. I broke into a steady jog toward a large tree, I had a feeling that an entrance was very near it my dark coated companion kept up easily even though the pace was a slow trot. When the ground suddenly dropped away I knew the entrance had revealed itself, skidding to a halt my eyes scanned the walls for a safe way down into the crevasse.

My companion pressed a slender paw into a an indent in the great brown trunk of the tree and there was a horrific creak as the tree began to move, my eyes widened in shock as the top soil fell away to reveal a natural hole. I stepped into it and found myself loosing balance and spiraling down, hair flowing out behind me as I fell, the darkness loomed and I lost vision rights. It wasnt until I heard running water I knew where I was heading for, as I tumbled through the air I noticed Duriel had vanished, the water and I met with a terrific splash.

Soaking humans that were stood on the bank with or without ahzenai companions, regaining my wits I began to swim upward toward the lakes surface. My head broke the surface and I gasped coughing out the small amount amount of water that had worked its way into my mouth. Now dark hair hung in front of my eyes hindering my vision as I treaded water. Lifting the sopping wet curtain from in front of my eyes I slowly swam toward the shore, halfway there I caught sight of the vortex as it began to swirl slowly.

A deep shade of grey came into existence and was followed by a beautiful dark purple which gave way to a much brighter shade and finally a vibrant orange to top it all off. An ahzenai stepped elegantly from the vortex and looked down her snout at all the suitors on shore, after a few seconds of careful observation she slowly began to walk forward. She put much thought into each step of a paw as she walked looking for all the worth like she was putting no effort in whatsoever. "My name," she smoothly began after pausing in her gait, "is Elvira. It is a pleasure to see you all."

Elvira, lightly nodded at each suitor in turn, being sure her head still held its elevated angle and that she had made eye contact with each before dipping her head. "I would love to find a companion here and see what lovely things the world offers."

Her voice was as smooth as silk and rang out like a small silver bell, I loved her immediately. Swimming to shore I stepped out of the water and wrung the worst of the water out of my hair and clothes. A dark shadow moved to my side and a warm soft tail curled gently round my wrist, I didn't even have to look to know that Duriel had found his own way into Ahzen. We slowly headed toward Elvira showing teeth to some of the more fragile humans who jumped back squeaking in fright.

We came to halt in front in the orange decorated ahzenai and bowed lowly "greetings Elvira I am Fenris and this is Duriel" I said gesturing to my dark coated companion who flicked his tail response the bright red of his ruff coupled with his light face making him look slightly sinister. Elvira was one of the most beautiful ahzenai I had ever seen, the orange crackling through her dark element was almost hypnotizing and I found my blue eyes flicking back to it over and over again. Shaking my head I began to speak again. "Duriel and I wish for you to join us as we explore the world finding secret places and hidden treasure we offer our lives and our friendship to you the most beautiful creature to ever walk this earth, for surely you are more beautiful than a shimmering rainbow after the rain has been."

Elvira you are more beautiful than the full moon on the darkest night of each year. The outside world is filled with so many wonders, mountains whose tops are hidden in the highest of clouds, waterfalls so high you cant see their tops, sand dunes that go as far as the eye can see and further still, trees so tall they dwarf even the tallest of humans, forests that stretch for miles. We have scaley critters that change colour when they are looking for food or just because they want to hide from bigger creatures. If you would come with us we could show these wonders, I would very much love for you to explore the wonders of the natural world with the both of us because I think you are indeed amazing Duriel told her. We dropped into grand sweeping bows and walked away to settle on a rock near the water, where we could watch the sunlight that filtered through the small holes in the earthen roof of ahzen dance upon the water.

Elvira stepped elegantly from the vortex as the light returned to its low white glow behind her. Her head tilted up slightly, and she peered down her snout at the suitors around Ahzen. Satisfied with her examination she gracefully lifted a paw and began to pad lightly away from the vortex, moving so smoothly it was as if she was gliding along. Every mood she made was deliberate and acted so that it always appeared smooth and elegant.

"My name," she smoothly began after pausing in her gait, "is Elvira. It is a pleasure to see you all."

Elvira, lightly nodded at each suitor in turn, being sure her head still held its elevated angle and that she had mad eye contact with each before dipping her head.

"I would love to find a companion here and see what lovely things the world offers."

Quick question- how many can we woo!? I love them all and feel something insideof them, and am greatly saddened ny the hiatus, but i completely understand! School is stressing me as well. How long will it last, might I ask?

(This is from the point of view of my Doctor Who fanfic character Calvin)

I slunk around the cavern, following the trail of the almost ghostly Ahzenai that had hidden in a far corner.
He seemed to be trying to avoid everyone. I hoped I didn't bother him by going up to him, but he was so amazing! I had to try. I realised, of course, that I couldn't just pop up behind him. It would be very rude and probably make him ignore me. So I decided to approach him from the front. I took a breath and walked slowly around him, deliberately making my footsteps loud enough for him to hear. When I was directly in front of him, I bowed. "Hello. My name is Calvin." Taking it slow. I'm a bit flustered. I'm not really used to talking to shy people, who are practically the opposite of myself. Here goes. "I don't have much to offer you, not as much as others might, ...Xiron," I said, plucking the name from his mind. "Have you ever wanted anything... more? I mean, Earth would be fine and all, but I can give you so much more. I can show you the universe, the stars, anything you wish, and all you have to do is ask." I paused. "Everything. Why be restrained to one planet, a single world, when you have an infinity to explore?" I gauged his reaction. "I can give you all of this and more, if you would wish to come with me. I leave it up to you."
Retreating a few steps, I bowed again respectfully and awaited his response.

Lokeash heaved a great sigh, his days had been squandered in laziness since the twin's left Ahzen in piece. He turned his liquid green eyes to the vortex, It had stayed in a lazy swirl since the last Ahzenai for quite sometime, the longest in fact he had ever seen it dormant. Lost in his thoughts he failed to notice his young pet blink open his amber eyes, or the look of pure devious glee that seemed to distort the tabby's features. An angered growl escaped his chest as the tabby's sharp claws bit into his muzzle. with a lower growl her flipped the large cat over and held him down with a single white paw. The tabby disappointed by his predicament, scrambled to get free from under the larger Ahzenai's paw. The one sided struggle ensued for a few more minuets longer, until the cat, angrily admitted defeat and dozed off once again.

Lokeash chuckled lightly and gingerly grasped the cat by the scruff, after fully stretching his long limbs he set off across new Ahzen, looking much like a loin carrying a cub. His destination was a nearby tree; Its roots had groan in a shape some what resembling a bowl. Though most humans and other creatures knew Lokeash was in no mood to ever be wooed, the root bowl offered a nice homely shelter from prying eyes, not to mention the moss that covered the area was as soft if not softer than the cushions he once rested upon in Egypt. Gingerly he laid the cat down in a soft moss covered ledge, the only imperfection in the almost completely smooth roots. After making sure the cat was comfortable he chose his own spot near the edge and circled a few times finally settling in a position with his heavy head resting on the bowls edge. He heaved one last, loud, tired sigh before drifting off to a restless sleep.

A scent, foul and sharp stung at his sensitive nose.
Fire!
His mind screeched as his eyes flew open in a blind panic the large Ahzenai let out a loud bone chilling roar. He clawed desperately at the soft moss around him, tearing the delicate plant to spreads in desperation to get away from the blinding light and blistering heat of the fire that had come so close to his muzzle. He stood, pressed firmly up against the root wall of the bowl, growling and blinded as black spots danced across his vision.
"Oh! I iz sorry little guy, I no know, you was in there."
The voice was calming, enough so that Lokeash's mind began to clear and his heart beat slowed. The blur of colors and blackness around him began to settle into definite shapes until finally he could see the source of the voice. She was female, and human. Her thin lithe frame was huddled close to a blazing fire only a few inches from were his head had previously been. Her body was scantly clad in ruby red dyed leather blouse and skirt, and embroidered in thick black cords of silk. Ordinate beads of blue, gold, silver, and bone wrapped around her arms and legs, accompanied by thick swirls of rich black tattoos. Her feet were bare, and heavily tattooed. and she wore a single leather glove of the same color as the rest of her clothing, and a simple circlet of talons wrapped around one of her shoulders. Lokeash did not let his eyes wander from her form as he slowly slunk around the side of the bowl, clearly giving the fire as wide a birth as he possibly could.

Finally the ordinate male Ahzenai stood directly across from the human female, she did not turn her head his way, or even seem to notice the large Ahzenai had even moved. Taken aback by her lack of courtesy he huffed loudly and sat down. Slowly the human turned her head, towards the Ahzenai, a bold of shock ran through his body visibly shaking his form. The human's eyes were a milky blue color almost white, a color that spoke of only one thing. She was blind to the world.

The initial shock wore off slowly, the human's gaze though blind was highly unnerving, he squirmed like a young newborn who had just been caught causing trouble. His instincual nerves getting the better of him, he laid his ears flat to his head and broke her blind stare intead looking down at his white paws.

"And what would you be called?"

"Iz you fraid of me child?"

Lokeash could hear the underlying challenge in her calm words, boldly he puffed out his chest and looked back up at the human. she had turned her head away from him once again, instead looking towards a deeply shadowed crevice in the rocks. Lokeash mentally breathed a sigh of relief before replying.

"No"

"good, good, I is known bah many name, you call me Sonya"

"Sonya, eh?"

He let the name roll off his tounge for a few seconds,

" I am known as Lokeash "

The human smiled solemnly as if confirming something she did not want to be true, then turned her blind gaze to the fire.

"I come from place far from here. I hear of place from many yet so few."

Lokeash nodded absent minded, he two had come from a place far away. The human's face was touched briefly by a smile as if she could see the memories of Egypt that had rolled through Lokeash's mind only seconds ago. He opened his mouth to comment but was shushed by the humans raised hand, slowly she turned her head towards the vortex, her head cocked to the side slightly. Curious Lokeash turned to look as well. A sharp intake of breath was all he could muster in appreciation of the vortex's beauty.

The vortex had turned itself into a swirling maelstrom of the purest Amethyst beauty. He watched awe inspired as dark swirls of the deepest black sprog forth from its depths waring with the Amethyst in an attempt to take over the vortex, finally settling to a truce as both colors swirled evenly. But the vortex was not yet done, thick webs of orange ripped through the colors present and held against the other two's wild swirling.

She appeared then, not giving the vortex's colors a chance to war once more. Lokeash's breath caught deeply in his throat as the female moved, no flowed, across the land bridge and away from the vortex. His breath came back at once, and all he could do was let out a loud moan of appreciation to her beauty and grace. He traced every line of her body with a scrutinizing and awed gaze, A light laugh from his side snapped him momentarily from his trance.
"Now der a female for you!"
Lokeash snorted, at the human's comment, her words seemed to be degrading the beauty before him, she far surpassed his own meager looks.
"I is not going tah hold yah here no longer, you iz not the one fah me."
Lokeash broke his gaze from the Ahzenai before him, and turned it instead to the human, she had once again turned her gaze to an outcropping of rocks, sighing she waved her hands in a gesture for him to leave. With a low growl he obliged her, he wasn't too fond of her kind anyway. As he deliberately lifted one white paw, a voice a smooth as liquid gold sung out across Ahzen
"My name,is Elvira. It is a pleasure to see you all."
Only the mere sound of her voice was enough to send his heart thundering like a star struck teenager, he forced himself to take a few bounds forward before the Ahzenai turned her gaze to him, no wait, not to him, but to all of Ahzen. Dipping her head in a graceful arc she continued on in that delightfully smooth voice,
"I would love to find a companion here and see what lovely things the world offers."
I could give her that
was the single thought that swept its way through the ancient Ahzenai's head.

He moved at a steady pace, moving much like a lion out surveying his territory. He did not approach Elvira directly after getting close, instead he circled around the area, allowing her delightfully pleasant scent fill his nostrils as he warred with his thumping heart. Even this far away had scent his fur tingling and his heart thumping like a stallion's. And much to his dismay it was all he could do not to prance up to the female and embarrass himself.

With many more humans and ahzenai alike pressing forward towards Elvira, Lokeash heaved a loud sigh, and visibly sucked all of his self doubt and anticipation deep with in his body.

he focused his mind on his loping lion like gate, as he steadily made his way towards Elvira for the final time. He stoped with in inches of her beautiful face, with out a second though he let his instincts take over.

"All of Ahzen has been graced by your presence"
He announced smoothly, bowing low, muzzle touching the ground, just in front of is outstretched front paw.
"I am Lokeash, protector of The great city and lord of the temple Bast."
He stopped for a few seconds, just enough to make eye contact with the elegant female. His body visibly shivered in response.
"I have seen many beauties in my lifetime, it is a long one stretching over many centuries and over the spance of many continents, and yet none can rival the beauty and elegance of the Ahzenai whom now stands before me. Elvira, you are one who deserves only the best of life, your beauty surpasses even that of the Queen of the Nile."
Slowly he once again rose his head to meet Elvira's eyes,
My beauty Elvira, there are those among us who would only wish to have you for your beauty, to lock you up and throw away all that is good in your life. I would like to think that i am as far opposite from such beings as fire and water are as opposite.
Please Elvira, If you accompany me on this day, I will show you the many wonders of the world, and the vast treasures it supplies, we will bathe in the Nile, sun in the Sahara, find life in the black sea, hunt in the Amazon, The world will be ours."
He paused for a few seconds,
" I offer you my life, and,"
he paused yet again, reaching around to pull a single worn but deadly sharp dagger from a small thong tied to his back leg, He gently laid it before the female ahzenai and continued,
"My blade."

Abby walked beside her friend, Austin. Abby had come to Ahzen in search of a perfect companion.
Austin glanced around. "What about that one?" he said, pointing to a dark purple one. "No," Abby said,"I need one like me. With lots of energy and one who loves to play." Austin rolled his eyes. "You mean crazy and hyper," he muttered with a smile. Abby punched his shoulder and laughed. "Exactly," she said.

The two walked around for a long time. They pointed, discussed, and watched. Austin sighed after an hour. "We've never had luck wooing, so I don't know why you try," he muttered. Abby turned red with anger. "I want one so badly, Austin, and I have a feeling that this might be a lucky day for us!" she yelled. Abby collapsed, crying. Austin sighed and picked her up. "I did't mean it," he said softly. But she didn't answer.
Abby was taken aback by an Ahzenai that dashed past. She seemed excited. Her naturally colored coat was a blur, but still noticeable. Abby smiled. "That one!" she said with a little skip. Austin raised his eyebrow. "You sure?" he asked. Abby nodded quickly, then ran after the creature. "Hi!" she said,"I'm Abby!" Austin ran with them, then sat.

Abby soon gave up and sat beside Austin. "If she really wants to come with us, she will," Abby said, smiling.
She could tell that that Ahzenhai was the one for her. In one more attempt, she yelled again as it passed,"I was hoping you would want to come home with me!"
