Camryn is a very, very quiet creature, despite her initial appearance. At first glance, she looks like one of those really, really nice and outgoing people who just want the best for you at all times. The kind that most people dislike and then feel guilty about not liking them. While Camryn is a very caring soul, she won't likely be the one the strike up a conversation with just anyone. She would very much prefer to stick to hanging out with those of the same crowd as her. She tends to be notoriously shy, and would definitely not be the one to make a first move on someone. She rarely ever talks to others she doesn't know, and she doesn't even really participate or talk in class either. She is perfectly content with zoning out and staring off into the distance, which she does all too often. Her voice is small, and naturally quiet, which doesn't really help her with talking to others much.
{ Flighty & Cautious }
Camryn is suspicious of almost anything to the point where it gets just a bit ridiculous. She can never truly, fully trust anyone, but once they do earn a bit of her trust, she is a loyal friend to the very end. Then again, her trust is a fragile thing, and can break almost instantaneously. When she feels guilty, Camryn will often take to asking a lot of questions to guide conversations away from that topic, even if it was never brought up in the first place. That is how you can tell she's hiding something. It usually takes a good amount of convincing to get her to so something that she is wary about, and even then, she still won't be to sure. At the slightest hint of a fight or issue, she will flee in an instant, as if trying to hide away from all the troubles of the world until they go away.
{ Gullible & Ignorant }
Sometimes Camryn is so gullible and easy to trick that it is mind boggling as to just how stupid she can be at times. Despite her distrusting nature, if you say anything like you know what you're talking about, maybe site a source from the internet or something, and chances are she will believe what you say. It's just that easy. Similarly, she seems to be ignorant of many world issues, which usually causes this intense gullibility. Due to her tendency to hide away once an issues rears its ugly little head, she doesn't really know much about the major issues of the world, or even her country. She would rather just ignore it, and live a happy little life in her own fantasy world where everything is perfect and wonderful. She's certainly not brave enough to tackle these problems on her own, which is why most of her friends end up doing the dirty work, much to their discontent.
{ Kind & Generous }
Camryn often feels guilty far too easily, and in turn, she has gained a generous and kind nature. While not particularly the outgoing and social type, she does sincerely wish people the best from the bottom of her heart. The problem is that she's too shy to every really help anyone. Sometimes she'll build up her courage and help someone out if their situation is more serious, and she has made a few friends from that. Most of the time her kindness only reaches the outer edges of her vast circle of friends. The fortunate thing is that even if you have talked to her only once, chances are she will help you out in your hour of need. She will often willingly give others things that they need, given that she has it in her possession of course. She doesn't get attached to the material things in her life very often, and has no problem with just giving things away.
{ Observant & Intuitive }
Camryn is not the type to instantly act on things, but the kind of person to wait for just the perfect precise moment. Instead of acting, she assesses the situation before making any important decisions. Of course, this means that opportunities often pass her by at a whirlwind pace, since she is reluctant to accept or act on these opportunities. She is often slow to think about what she is going to do in certain situations, and by the time she does come up with something, the right moment has often already passed. Although she is very observant, she almost always goes by what she feels is right without any real rational reasoning. Her decisions are based heavily on instincts and persuasion from others. That being said, it would not be a very good idea to put her in charge of anything too important, she tends to crack under pressure.
{ Passionate & Emotional }
Despite her intellectual and soft spoken exterior, Camryn is an extremely emotional being. Thus, she is passionate about everything she loves. She puts her heart into everything she does and always gives her one hundred percent best effort. She believes very strongly in her personal beliefs, although these beliefs tend to sway and bend rather easily. Due to her inability to bottle up her emotions for long, she has a habit of either exploding on someone, or breaking down entirely. Her emotions are a very fragile thing, and are easily shattered. Her feelings are analogous to an open book, and it is extremely easy to know what she is feeling at any given moment. She is absolutely horrible at hiding her emotions, so being able to tell her feelings from one just quick glance is highly probable.

[ Secretive & Cryptic ]
Adelheid is a great enigma to the masses, and that is just the way she likes it to be. She is a very private individual, and will almost never reveal anything personal to anyone at all. Not much is known about her except for the fact that she is an immigrant from Germany, other than that, no one knows a thing. Her emotions and personal life are like a closed door, with about fifty seven different locks on it. Seriously, she guards her secrets so severely that it is almost ridiculous. Her poker face is probably the best there is, she is very, very good at keeping a totally straight face and hiding her emotions away from the world. She never bothers to tell anyone where she's going ever, she kinda just randomly disappears and reappears at her own will. This, of course, tends to drive everyone she knows just a bit mad.
[ Distant & Alone ]
Adelheid keeps her distance from others, and she won't ever allow herself to get too close to anyone. She's almost afraid of letting people into her life and actually becoming close to them. She is afraid of the tragedy and dangers that come with relationships. Once things get too personal or intimate for her to handle, she either avoids others for a while or just has no clue whatsoever to do with herself.Thus, she is kind of a loner, but she prefers it that way. She truly believes that she is better off on her own so that she won't ever have to experience pain and grief. Adelheid is more of an introvert, and doesn't like to have to rely on others to get things done. She is much more comfortable with doing things herself, because then she will know that it will be done right, or at least to the best of her abilities.
[ Direct & Blunt ]
Adelheid is very direct in what she says to others. Her words are always to the point and she is never the one to beat around the bush. She will absolutely say what is on her mind, or what she thinks of you, no omissions whatsoever. Her words are almost literally verbatim from what thoughts she has in her mind at the moment. Her blunt and curt manner in speaking and thinking has gotten her into trouble on several occasions of course. Almost half of the time others take offense to what she says, although most of the time she just brushes it off as if it where something completely insignificant. She doesn't believe that one should have to lie to get their point across, and that the best way is a direct route to what you want to achieve. Words mean almost nothing to her compared to actions, so harsh words will barely phase her. She of course, thinks that everyone else should be that way too.
[ Insensitive & Indifferent ]
Due to Adelheid's blunt and stubborn attitude toward most things, she tends to be insensitive to the feelings and opinions of others. She often sees is as her way or the highway, and she rarely ever compromises her views or plans. She is rather fast in striking down opposing ideas, and quickly dismisses anything that she doesn't agree with. She is incredibly strong willed and will not give up on her beliefs easily. She is also indifferent to most things, and not very many things interest her very much. If one were to rave on and on about how wonderful their day was, chances are she zoned out halfway through the one sided conversation. Due to this, Adelheid is notorious for hurting the feelings of those few that she actually cares about, and of course those that she doesn't care for at all.

Sometimes I wish my life were a happy little love song. Where nothing ever goes wrong...where no one ever goes crazy. Where you don't get shot in the bloody shoulder by your girlfriend. Hold on, ex-girlfriend. Oh wait, I'm getting ahead of myself here. You can't know about that just yet. Where was I again? Oh yeah. Where you get the guy...or girl, in my case, and you have your happily ever after. Nothing ever goes wrong, since you are madly and deeply in love. That's always how it seems at first, that you are going to be together forever. Everything seems to be absolutely perfect, and you wouldn’t exchange that feeling for anything else in the world. Nothing could possibly come between the two of you, right?

Wrong.

Oh, let me tell you; love is a cold hard bitch. Nothing more, nothing less. It viciously tears your heart from your chest and shreds it into tiny, unsalvageable bits. This feeling is no stranger to me. I know what you must probably be thinking now. But love is so wonderful Camryn! Why be such a pessimist? Surely something that bad couldn't have happened to make you feel that way.

I sat cross-legged across from my best friend Sasha, dappled sunlight splashed across my face through the leaves of a tall oak tree. The forest was alive the the voices of little songbirds and the hollow knocking of a nearby woodpecker. A bottle of Vanilla Coke rested to my right, while a half eaten sub was to my left. Opposite to me, Sasha was sprawled across the leaf covered ground, with a bright green plastic fork in his left hand. They matched his eyes. A bright smile was plastered in his face, like it always was. It probably would have been more conventional to eat lunch in the park, but the forest was always so much more fun. I loved afternoons like these, with the sun shining on my face and not a single care in the world. Everything seemed so much simpler, just me and a buddy hanging out and enjoying the scenery. It was afternoons like these that are dangerous for your mind. You forget about just how real and scary the world is, how everything is not as seemingly perfect as you may think. Still, it was nice to enjoy even just that moment. In the background, I could hear the soft sound of a running stream. Sasha's bright green eyes twinkled as a mischievous smile crept onto his face. He sat up quickly, swift and graceful as a fox. His gaze was not focused on me though, there were others with us. I didn't care to look and see who it was, I could feel that I would know soon enough with Sasha around. Instead, my pale blue eyes wandered off to the side, studying the variety of trees surrounding me in this forest. It was a rather bright and sunny day, it was almost blinding actually. I squinted as the sunlight shined into my eyes, but I remained focused on a chubby squirrel dashing with considerable speed up the trunk of a sassafras tree. My heart sank once I heard Sasha's excited voice. It wasn't who I had hoped it would be.

"Hey Aspen! Where's Delilah?"

"I'm right here, jackass."

I knew that candy sweet voice anywhere.

"Oh, right."

"I swear Sasha. Sometimes I worry for you."

"Um, guys? We like really need to talk about this important business or whatever."

I abruptly whipped my head around, strands of onyx black hair swishing into view. There they were; Delilah, Aspen, and Lucy. Not necessarily my enemies, but then again, not necessarily my friends either. I guess frenemy would be a more accurate term, although I don't often stoop down to using words that are totally made up. Actually, I usually do now that I think of it, but nothing as utterly stupid as that word. Our relationships with each other tend to be a bit complicated most of the time. First, there was Delilah, who is completely perfect in every way possible. I of course used to have a crush on her as well.She's rather pretty, gorgeous even, has a fantastic voice, and everyone absolutely loves her. Well, most everyone anyway. You see, only a select few know the other side to her, an entirely different facet to her personality. Truth was, she's incredibly shy, awkward, paranoid, not confident at all, and just a bit cruel toward those she has a disliking to...including myself. She thought I was somehow trying to take Aspen away from her (Which I totally wasn't, by the way. I don't even like guys all that much.) and well, she never really got over that lie. She weaves these intricate stories in her head, all of which never turn out to be true. Delilah has been rather cold to me ever since she got that idea in her head, and her conversations with me are not exactly friendly. Next, there was Aspen, who was kind of a jerk. Then again, everyone I hang out with is kind of a jerk, but whatever. He's one of the more popular guys at school, despite his rather quiet nature. Perhaps the mystery that he gives off manages to draw people to him. To wrap him up in a nutshell, he's pretty much a typical teenage guy, although a bit more understanding and sensitive than most. There's not much to our relationship, as I don't really talk to him often, but there's something about him that just sends shivers down my spine. Last was Lucy, who is undoubtedly Delilah's best friend and second in command. She doesn't have the brains to make many decisions for herself, and depends on Delilah's brains to guide her through everything. She goes along with whatever Delilah says, and due to our less than friendly terms with each other currently, Lucy is pretty much a bitch to me. But I don't mind it, since most of what she says is senseless anyway. Still, I am usually forced to see this trio pretty often, since Aspen is Sasha's best bro.

"What kind of important business?" I chimed in, and then I instantly regretted it. All of their attention turned to me, staring me down with judging eyes. Well, actually just Delilah's teal eyes burned at the back of my head, while Lucy's sky blue eyes bore a similar gaze. Aspen's violet eyes remained nonchalant, but definitely fully focused on me.

"Oh, Camryn. You're here." Delilah almost hissed. I could detect the disappointment in her voice, and I could tell she was trying really hard to keep a pleasant voice. Then suddenly, a wicked smile curled onto her face. "Why, you didn't know? Surely Sasha here would have told you. You two are best friends, right?" Her voice was riddled with that kind of fake innocence she was infamous for.

I bit my lip tentatively, and cast my eyes down toward my cherry red shoes. Suddenly, it hit me like a train at full speed. Oh God, what if she had a point there. Sasha is my only best friend in the whole wide world, certainly he would have told me of this "important business", right? I mean, he wouldn't just keep some kind of important secret from me, he trusts me too much. We tell each other everything, nothing is ever left out. Except for this? No, I can't believe it. He would never do that. Or maybe he didn't want me to worry too much, so he decided not to tell me? Yeah, that had to definitely be it. I mean, it had to. Perhaps he was sworn to secrecy and if he broke it, he would be killed. Okay...now I'm just being straight up ridiculous. Certainly Sasha will explain this whole mess to me in due time. And by due time I mean right now. He is going to have a lot of explaining to do. Damn, this is exactly what Delilah wanted. She said that just to get me all worked up over nothing, to make me feel paranoid about my friendship with Sasha. And it worked...like it always did. Obviously she hates me and doesn't want Sasha hanging out with me either. Sometimes it just feels like the whole world is out to get me sometimes.

Use :
Camryn and Adelheid would probably be up there with my most used characters. I'm also pretty sure that they will be among my most cherished characters. Their designs are simple, but beautiful at the same time. The colors compliment each other nicely, as do both characters themselves. These two characters instantly stuck out to me, and there was no way I could possible not even try for them. I would of course draw them as often as I can, as I did love drawing their designs the first time around. And I would certainly order art of them as well. I really do need more practice drawing anthros and couple art, and what would be more perfect than drawing these two together? Nothing, I can assure you. I would write short stories featuring them as well, as they would have vital roles in advancing the plot line of "Lucky Thirteen". They are a part of the group Generation 13, which has a big impact on the story later in the timeline. Also, I'm rather out of practice with writing about couples, especially the kind with their brand of complexity. I would love to use them as an opportunity for much needed practicing, and just to love them in general. They would most definitely get their own page on my under construction character site too. I do sincerely hope they get the best home possible though. (:
