►◄ Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?:Who wouldn’t want this darling? She is a stunning masterpiece and I give props to the person who designed her. Her design is magnificently simplistic but if you look close there is a natural beauty to her (no pun intended). I love the black bands along her muzzle and ears and the dots going up her legs add to the beauty of her design; not to mention that I have a thing for animals with wings and with tail accessories. (That doesn’t make me weird...does it?) Up until now I haven’t directly mentioned the rose and that is because I am still trying to figure out how ‘TRM’ drew it. It is phenomenal! Every other line and mark on Broken Rose is so precise and certain and then you take a close look at the rose and you’ll see that it embraces the true sweetness and perfection of a living rose. If I were to be lucky enough to obtain this precious being I would most definitely use her as a character or maybe, if EarthStar has no objections, even use her as my Fursona, the only thing I know for certain is that that I will for sure use her because she does not deserve to just sit in a corner gathering dust.

►◄Personality: Emotional Disposition- Generally Broken Rose is joyful and warm although in extreme situations she changes into a very calm and composed leader. She also has a tendency to become quite cynical when put into a position where she is frightened or unsure.
Optimistic- Although she has seen the corruptness that lies within her world she still has hope that all the wrongdoers will realize their mistakes and make up for what they have done in their pasts. She is not one to shun those who have been unruly in their lives but she is not shy about sharing her dissapointment in those who have not reformed thie attitudes.
Spontaneous- Rose is extremely hyperactive, rash and at times even ridiculously capricious. Even though this can make her a bit unreasonable it also helps her to be open to new ideas and tolerant of other opinions. This does not mean that she does not hold strong to her beliefs; it simply means that she will not try to argue or alter another persons beliefs.
Straightforward- Broken Rose will normally be as honest as she can, without hurting another’s feelings , when someone is asking for her opinion but if another is asking for personal information she usually becomes evasive and cryptic. She dislikes talking about herself but is very courteous and charming around others.
Extraverted- Although very modest she loves talking to others and is a very engaging companion. Rose is also an amazing listener and will always support a friend in need even if she does not agree with that friends actions or the two haverecently had a disagreement.
Determined- Broken Rose will never give up on an idea or goal which means that if she waits long enough to shape a plan it would take nothing less than a miracle to change her mind. Her current goals in life are to encourage peace, find Sparrow’s Lily and to prove the world that she is worthy of being on the Garden’s council (keep reading and you’ll know what I mean by that).
Strong- When you first meet Rose you will realize that she is built of soft, downy fur and delicate bone structures making her appear extremely frail but quite in contrast to that is the fact that Rose is one of the most stable wolves you can have in both the emotional and mental sense. She very rarely lets other peoples wrongdoings get to her and, although she isn’t afraid to show her disappointment in others, she will never take out her anger on someone even if they have mistreated her.

►◄Likes:Flowers -- Roses are, of course, her favorite because it reminds her of her birthplace but she has an appreciation for all plants.
Sunlight -- It reminds her of the Garden and is one of the few constants in her life.
Peace -- She believes it takes too much energy to fight and argue that it is just easier to agree on major issues.
Companionship -- Rose is one of those people who couldn't live without people even if she tried. She loves making new friends [and sometimes new enemies] and will all but die for those she cares about.
Spring -- With all the life that is being reborn, how could you not like spring?
Love or the idea of a soul mate -- Although she would never admit this to the Council or any of the Garden wolves she is astounded by the fact that Sparrow (keep reading, I promise I'll explain) would give up her way of life for someone that she had grown up hating and she hopes to one day find someone that she feel's just as strongly about.
Learning -- She could spend all day listening to stories about everything and anything. Rose is always open-minded and ready to try something new which makes her a perfect pupil.

►◄Dislikes:Cold and/or winter -- Rose grew up both fearing and respecting winter but even though she knows that everything has a purpose she can not bring herself to 'like' something so cold and ruthless.
Being alone -- Being alone, especially in unfamiliar terrain, is one of the few things that can get under her skin and make her anxious. She rather enjoys others company; even if she finds that specific person annoying she would much rather be with them than be alone.
Fire -- Fire is a destructive element that she just despises; it can completely envelope the whole Garden in a matter of seconds and will not leave anything in it's wake.
Storms, especially thunder -- Although she is a very curious young wolf, she does not like loud noises and just about loses it when she hears thunder. It is one of the few things that she fears.

►◄History/Background:Among the Broken Roses was born in the Garden of Purity, where there are two types of wolves: the Flower Wolves, who lead the pack and who are born of one of the twelve ancient flowers, and any offspring of the Flower Wolves, promptly called the Followers. She was the only wolf born of the Rose in the last hundred years and thereof destined to be a member of the council. Because none of the Flower Wolves have parents to take care of them, when they are young they are assigned a guardian. Rose was assigned to a beautiful and kind she-wolf named Sparrow’s Lily. Unlike most other tragic stories where the one and only loved one in the main characters life, Sparrow is still alive to this day, but that does not mean there was not hardship in Rose’s life; when she was no more than a year old Sparrow fell in love with an outsider, a mysterious dark brown wolf named Chayton. Of course it was forbidden for the wolves of the Garden to take an outsider as a mate and when the council found out about her treachery they drove her from the pack which greatly upset Rose. Only a couple months after that Rose herself was banished from the Garden on the same charges as her guardian, only this time they were a grossly exaggerated truth; a clever rumor planted by Monarch’s Daisy, who knew that if there was no heir to Rose seat in the council then she would have even greater control over the Garden. After several weeks of wallowing in misery and hopelessness outside the Garden’s gate Rose realized that this would be the perfect opportunity to find her long-lost guardian and see if she really had found happiness outside of the Garden. The only problem was that she had never learned what lay outside her home and no clue where Sparrow and her mate would be by then.

►◄A Snippit of Rose’s Life:“Look!” Even enclosed within the safety of the silky, red petals the young pup could hear the gasp of awe and the soft murmurs of excitement that came from the other side of the flowers walls. Speaking over the enthusiastic din was much soothing voice that comforted the she-wolf, “It’s almost time.” Only moments later the rose, which had nurtured the baby wolf inside of it for almost a year now, bloomed; letting it’s petals fall away to reveal a tiny bundle of snowy white fur curled up tightly in its heart. Curiosity overcame the pup and she lifted her head, blinking and narrowing her eyes as she looked up through her lashes at the glaring sun. Letting her gaze fall back down to where the voices were coming from she jumped up in shock and tried to back away out of fear but with a newborns clumsiness she tripped on her own paws and went tumbling over the edge of the flower, crushing a young rose bush as she landed with a thud in its mass of vines and buds. Laughter bubbled up in the crowd and soon the whole pack of wolves was chattering about the new pup. Only one wolf stood apart from the rest; she was beautiful with a golden pelt and compassionate eyes. As if on cue she stepped forward, “Do not be afraid, dear one. I am Sparrow’s Lily and this is my pack, your pack. We have waited a long time for you….Among the Broken Roses.”
Just as she spoke the world spun, the bright colors of spring bleed together and then were sucked away leaving behind them a dark and indistinguishable world with the only light coming from the pearly colored moon that hung above the pack's heads.“We are offering to let you relinquish your sins but only if you end all associations with that beast.” The sharp, demanding voice came from Frosted Poppy. She stood in all of her scarlet glory before Sparrow looking down upon her with sad, pleading gray eyes; and as much as Broken Rose wanted to scream and tell Sparrow to accept Poppy's offer it felt as if her tongue had swollon to the point of being paralyzed. “I love him! How can you tell me to choose between my home...my family, and the love of my life?! There is no reason for us to be driven out if our intentions are pure!” Sparrow’s voice rang out over the silent crowd as she motioned first to the rest of the pack and then to the dark brown wolf who stood by her side. Poppy spoke again, her voice crashing down upon Sparrows words, “No reason! Do you not believe in the law of the Garden? Perhaps you have forgotten that just by speaking to this, this outsider you have betrayed us! By letting him into the Garden you not only make us vulnerable to the outside realm but also have opened our gates to the pollution that lies beyond our home!” The hate and anxiety of her words bore down upon the whole clearing, cutting into Rose even more sharply than the others would have imagined. Rose whimpered in her sleep, feeling the same grief and rejection well up in her heart that she had felt the night Sparrow had chosen Chayton, her mate, over the pack. Jerking awake, her bright green eyes flashed open and, even though it was insanity, Rose was half-expecting Sparrow to be sleeping quietly by her side. Sitting up she shook her head, hoping to clear her thoughts of the lingering wisps of that dream, or more of memory; bending down she swiped her tongue over the crimson rose that rested just above her heart and then promptly stood and brushed past the ferns that half obscured her den from view. Blinking as her eyes adjusted to the pale moon light she let her paws carry her wherever they wished, not too concerned with her final destination but hoping that she passed a pond along the way. Silently she let her mind unravel all the memories and emotions surrounding the last couple months, wondering where Sparrow was at the moment and if she was happy. Absorbed in the darkness of her own thoughts she didn’t even realize that she had climbed up the gently sloping path to the very edge of the Garden. Looking down from the gate she watched as shadows flicked over the wasteland in front of her; looking more like blurry spiders scuttling along the ground than the long-fingered monsters that everyone had described in hushed tones when they believed she had been asleep. For an odd reason these shadows, which frightened all the other Garden Wolves enthralled her…making her even more curious as to where Sparrow could possibly be at this moment. “Psst.” Broken Rose froze, her breath catching in her throat as she waited, hoping beyond all belief that it had just been her imagination. “Psst! You up there!” The half whispered remark came from below her and when she finally let herself glance down, she saw a young male wolf standing on the other side of the Garden’s gate. Even though she was supposed to think of outsiders as big, evil brutes with no other purpose in life but to break into the Garden, the one that called up to her was quite handsome with a pitch black pelt and not nearly large enough to be considered scary. Looking closer she could just barely make out a crescent of silver moon shrouded in fog on his right hip which marked him as a descendantof the Garden. “What’s your name?” Snorting Rose lifted her chin, looking away from the outsiders bright, mischievious eyes. “Oh come on, someone as beautiful as you can’t be
that stuck-up. Mine’s Jacy, if it makes you feel better.” “Mine’s Among the Broken Roses, if it makes
you feel better, and the proper term would be superior. And yes I do believe that I am superior to your foolish flirting,” she spoke out quietly, trying to maintain her dignity and contain her curiosity. Jacy grinned up at her, getting ready to say something but before he could finish the first word voices split through the silence. It was the Gate Guard... “I must go and so should you. The guards do not like outsiders loitering by our gate.” As she looked back over her shoulder to make sure that the mysterious male was listening to her advice, the sky split open revealing a stripe of blood red, obscuring the serene sea of indigo above Jacy’s head.

►◄Art:Okay so please keep in mind I am not a very good artist while you look through these:
Here is a picture I drew of Jacy playing tug-o-war with the ribbon on Rose's tail [
XxX]. I was attempting to depict how Jacy is a lot more playful than Rose but it just kind of ended up looking like Jacy was being really mean to kind hearted Rose...Oh well.
This is just a doodling of Rose that I did in English while I was supposed to be doing the packt that she is attached too. Sorry for the words, I tried to focus the camera on the drawing but it was being difficult.
And here is probably the best drawing of Rose [or at least her head] that I can do =>
XxX. Hmmm although I think that I will stick to writing this didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would [now hopefully you guys will think the same thing

].
The final drawing that I have is one of Jacy [
XxX]. Sorry about all the close-up headshots, I'm not very good at drawing bodies.
And although I know that you do not want colored-in pictures here are a couple really cute ones I did of various characters that will join Rose:

►◄Other:Thank you very much to EarthStar for putting Broken Rose up for adoption and to TMR for revamping her, she is just gorgeous. I would also like to thank the creator of Pound of Hope and to all of the people who spend time critiquing , judging, revamping, writing, and of course running this thread. It would be amazing if I did win Broken Rose. Is ‘win’ the appropriate word? I guess it doesn’t matter because it would sure feel like winning if by some miracle I did get her. Thank you again and I hope that everyone has a great day and good luck.
