in most places Species mods usually help with questions about the race and correct people who have made mistakes. They also sometimes judge if the main judge doesn't have time to do so. In a few places, they were also responsible for creating adoptions and stuff. Though this was not a requirement.

They also help further the race, give concepts and ideas.
