It's NOT that I don't like the idea... it is just a bit well not what you'd expect when you look at the parents...
maybe think of something more looking like them... for example the stripes (they both have) or a thunderbolt marking somewhere... =)
I really like the basecoat of the adult and the juvenile and the triangles have a nice colour... maybe reduce them a bit and add something else (like my suggestions above) and try to sharpen the edges of the triangles =)

soo... it's a good job and a good idea... maybe improve a bit and I'll give you the better face with pleasure =)
