Lol more coming your way!
Dear SJ,
I sat there, huddled in that alley for what seemed like hours. The sun was starting to set, and Nox City is even more unsafe at night than in it is during the day. I buried my face in my duffel bag, hoping to block out all the scary shadows and voices that began to surround me.
"Get up!" a voice commanded. I looked up and saw that it was Dark Brown again, his eyes menacing. I shot upright, nearly dropping my bag.
"Where are we going?" I asked as he started leading me out of the alley.
"You'll see," he growled in reply, falling behind me and holding a dagger to my back.
We walked. And we walked. And we walked some more. We avoided the busy streets, clinging to the shadows so that nobody would see us. Did I mention we walked a lot?
Finally, we stopped at an abandoned two-story house at the edge of a large suburban area. The dilapidated structure looked like it was about to collapse, and I started to feel sick.
Dark Brown guided me up the steps and onto the front porch, where he reached out a paw to open the door from behind me. I did the unthinkable then: I bit him.
My teeth sank into his arm and he let out a cry of pain, nearly jabbing the dagger into my back if I hadn't moved in time. As he stood there, clutching his arm and cursing, I whirled my duffel bag around and whacked him hard in the gut. He feel to the ground with a sickening thud.
While my assailant was still reeling, a huge dog barged outside, his eyes full of hate and anger. We locked gazes, and then he pulled out a gun.
"Don't move," he snarled."Or I'll shoot." He moved toward Dark Brown and helped him to his paws. When Dark Brown looked up, Big Dog raised a paw and brought it across his face, sending the gang member back to the dew-soaked grass.
Big Dog, satisfied with his work, sauntered over to me and gestured toward the house.
"After you," he said, and as I started walking toward the door, he pressed the gun against my back, ready to shoot if I tried anything.
He pushed me upstairs (yeah, it's possible to push someone UP stairs) and into this small bedroom. Only, there was no bed. No furniture at all. Just bloodstains on the wall and floor....
I gotta go, SJ. Things are getting out of hand at the moment.
