Rexi was the runt of the litter. His mother never loved him because of that, and he was often tormented by his litter mates. One day, he was by the water, playing on his own again, when he met a female fennec fox named Ellie. She smiled at him and then she eventually came next to him to sit down. She was older than him, but she was sweet. They talked about their lives, and she was shocked to hear how terrible Rexi's life was. Rexi and Ellie met by the water every single day, until one day she decided to show him her own pups at her den. When Rexi met them, he was amased to see how much bigger he was than them, and for once, he wasn't little! They played together and he enjoyed it. It was probably the best time of his life. This is what a "real" family should be, he thought. He decided to visit Ellie's family every day, to pretend that it was his own family.
