Tracker Dog #72 I Available Until 16th
Gender: Female
This little Tracker makes up for low IQ with a loyalty like no other.
This Tracker is slow in mind and her very trusting nature makes her an easy Tracker to take advantage off. Though her loyal nature does have its drawbacks, if you're true to her, she'll be a partner like no other.
Her loyalty makes her a great companion, beyond all expectations her loyalty shines through anything in any situation. She has proven herself to be loyal like no other, trusting her companion with all of her heart. With a loyal trust you have everything. Only with a trusted companion can her skills truely shine. She is one of a kind.~Loyal Above All~
Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.
She is determind to do so well, to do as much as she can. She knows she isn't the brightest Tracker but she doesn't let it affect her. Umbraki works are her own pace with thought and decisions, determind to show she can do more than others think about her with her itelligence. She is determind to prove them wrong in every way she can. Deep inside, she knows she can do so much. She only needs time and someone who understands her, to help her in every way. She knows it takes her a while to process information, but she doesn't let it affect her. She works as hard as she can, with a determindation to succeed and one day, one day she will prove she can.~Determination To Succeed~
Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try, to be determind.
Umbraki has the will to try, not giving up at the first hurdle. She does find things difficult, because it takes her a while to figure certain things out. She trys not to let it get in her way as she will always have that will to try and to succeed.~The Will To Try~
So many of our Dreams at first seem Impossible, then they seem Improbable, and then when we Summon the Will, they soon become Inevitable.
~Umbraki's Perspective~
Thinking slowly I stood still, watching the others. I knew I must have been like them, I think anyway. Shrugging it off I flicked my tail, my optics viewing all around. It took me a while to realise that I had heard a noise. The others around me had noticed it before I had. I knew that I was different from them, at least, what's the word... smart? No, I don't think so. Oh well, they must have been more smarter then me. By the time I was thinking about it the visitor had entered the room and seemed to be looking at me.
~Umbraki's Perspective~
Intelligent! I think that's the word I was looking for before... I think I remember one of those creatures with two legs saying it before. Finally coming to my senses, I saw the visitor holding out it's paw, I think the creature's paw was called a hand. It looked like one of those creatures that come around. I heard some of the others of my kind call them humans and people? So this was a person, female. I started to flex my legs as I remembered the person still had her hand out, it was held out towards me. I wondered why, I had never seen this human before, but I remember some of the other Trackers, that's what my kind are called according to them anyway, having a human trainer. Or was it a companion? Some Trackers had given their human different names, but I guess it didn't really matter, they seemed almost the same. I sniffed the air, my nose pointing towards the person's hands. It smelt warm, comforting even. I took one step forwards, by head held slightly to the side. My paws padded softly over the shining surface of the ground, a sense of belonging suddenly hit me as I reached the person's hand. But I couldn't exactly describe the feeling I had. It felt... as if I knew that person, but what was it about this human that made me feel this way?
~Umbraki's Perspective~
As the human stroked my head I felt that feeling again. I hadn't ever felt it before, only once the person had entered the room. Maybe it was the bond between human and Tracker that the others talked about. It took me a while to figure that out and before I knew it, I was standing next to the person while they started to read a note. I shook my head quickly before I looked up at the human. I tilted my head slowly as the person spoke. Again, it took me a while to understand what she was trying to say, then that same feeling came again. This human had chosen me? I couldn't believe it! I gave small nod, still very unsure but trusting the human immediately.
~Umbraki's Perspective~
I held the note in my mouth and I made my way through the maze of corridors, using my senses of smell and vision to find my companion. The smell was getting stronger and I knew that I was getting closer. I saw my companion out of the corner of my optics and I started to run towards her, my sight never leaving my companion. Using all the skills she had taught me over the last few weeks I put them to use to get the note. The bond between me and my human companion was deep, even after such a short time. I would never leave her. My loyalty lies with her. I started to wag my tail as I reached my companion and I put the note on the ground near her feet. I couldn't believe how much I had progressed since I met her, I knew I was still not as intelligent as the others of my kind. But, it didn't bother me. I try my best at everything and that's what truely matters. I am determind and I have my companion the help me through thick and thin. I am always there for her and she's always there for me.

Tracker Dog you want
#72
Name you'll give it
Viscera
Latin for Internal organs
Well the reasoning behind this name is a bit strange and is linked in with this girl and her handler’s occupation, so bear with me while I explain. When I first spotted her I thought the patterning running along her side looked like sound waves, but while I was thinking of a name for her I was casting an eye over her design for any more name ideas I could draw from it. Then I saw something different in her markings, this time they reminded me of what you’d see on a ECG heart monitor. This thought spawned even more ideas in my head, for studying the heart is my favourite branch of Biology, so it gave me inspiration for her story, name and occupation. So rushing along I typed ‘heart’ into Google Translate and it came up with a list of suitable nouns in Latin. When I spotted ‘Viscera’ I knew it was the perfect name, yet when I reversed the translation it turned out to not only mean ‘heart’ but ‘internal organs’.
Reason why you want it
I believe this is my 5th or 6th time doing up a form for a tracker, the last time being for one from Nex’s last batch. I was going to try out for the Aerial from the last series, but I never got around to it with other things, yet looking back I figure that if I wasn’t going to try my hardest to get a certain tracker, then there was no point in going for it as I know my form wouldn’t have been up to scratch with others who really wanted the Tracker. However none of this is true for this girl right here, the minute I clapped eyes on her before you had written up her personality I fell in love with her quirky design and bright eye-catching optics. Then when I read her short bio it just secured the thought in my mind that I absolutely needed to try for her.
Will it be used in any kind of story?
Absolutely, I like expanding my writing technique by putting myself in different situations from what I’m comfortable writing, I feel like a string of stories about this Tracker and her handler fits that bill perfectly.
Describe its personality
Viscera is a loyal creature, sticking by her handler through thick and thin, no matter what. Not being as bright as her intelligent partner Viscera would follow her into any situation disregarding everything else. Though her blind faith in her partner enables her to give her all when they’re working together, allowing her to get the job done to complete satisfaction, it does prevent her from spotting a problem her headstrong handler might’ve missed often landing them in trouble. Some would say this Tracker’s undying loyalty in her partner is simply naivety borne from her low intelligence but Viscera deep down is just a sweet and kind-hearted girl who loves her handler like no other because of the bond formed through their companionship and because they always remain true to each other.
Write an introduction for your Tracker
I don’t know where I’d be without her. She’s stuck by me through everything and been there for me when I needed someone to let my feelings out to and comfort me. This is a story about how I met the most loyal partner a person could ever have and my best friend. The story of how I met my Tracker Viscera and one of the toughest days of my life all wrapped into one.
___________________________________________
I practically bounced into the Tracker facility; I had just graduated from university after receiving my medical degree and I was now getting my very own Tracker to be my partner.
The hospital I was soon to start working in had made an agreement with the university I had been studying at; they offered to employ the top 5 students from my year under the circumstances that we agreed to become a part of their latest idea.
The hospital wanted to try out using Tracker’s as partners to doctors and surgeons to see if they’d be of any benefit to the efficiency of the running of the hospital. Basically I and the Tracker I was soon to get were going to be their guinea pigs.
I didn’t really care though; I had just come out of university with a guaranteed job and I was soon to be getting my very own Tracker, not a bad little package deal if I say so myself even at the price of being a test my employers were running.
Most of the first 30 minutes passed in a blur, I went up to a desk that was opposite the front door and was given some forms to fill in about my name, age and other official stuff like that. Then I was ushered through the building to the holding pens where the Trackers themselves were kept.
The first door I passed had the word ‘Pound’ emblazoned in pristine white capitals across it, but my guide took me past it and up to a nearby door which had no label but we went into anyways.
The room was dimly lit, but the low light didn’t give off a dank dark feeling, it was more of a cosy muted tone. A ruffle of fur and a shuffle of paws against the ground drew my attention back to the main attraction.
I looked to my left and saw massive cages inside which were Trackers of varying sizes. The first was a large tough looking grey creature who possessed glowing green circles along the length of his muscular body. He was tagged with the number 74.
The numbers seemed to be going in descending order as the next Tracker’s number was 73. He was an older specimen than the last one and had a scruffy look to his fur, but in a way he looked respectable and I know I wouldn’t mess with him.
Number 72 was the final creature in this batch. And what a wonderful creature she was. Her coat was a mix of vivid and dark purples with strange jagged white markings and a pastel pink section on her back.

Tracker Dog you want:
73
Name you'll give it:
Blàr
(sounds like Blair when spoken)
It is of Gaelic Origin, meaning "Plain"
Reason Behind the Name
The second i saw him one thing ran through my head "I'm Scottish, and proud!"
Why? Im not sure exactly, i think its the dark brown colors with the accents of the shaggy fur, it just reminds me of something slightly Scottish.
Once i established this though i went about finding a name for him, i looked high and low for a good sounding name that fit him, and finally i found a Gaelic site, at first i ran through the names each seemed far to long and hard to pronounce, but just as i was about to give up hope on the Scottish name, one just happened to catch my eye, Blar, it was short simple and sounded good on my tongue. I flipped back to the tracker forum and looked at his picture repeating the name over and over again, it seemed to fit his looks and I decided that it would be the lucky Word to christen him.
Nickname(s):
'B'
Reason why you want it:
Ah this one is a bit easier for me to decide why I want it. After my loss of getting 71 i looked forward to the next batch, And naturally you did not disappoint LCD, It was a hard choice between 73 and 74, Nex's Trackers always have this 'alluring' quality that none other seems to have, but there was something about 73, it caught my attention and held it, was it the pleasantly shortened tail? or the thick shaggy fur that decorated its body? Or maybe, just maybe it was the pleasant and complimentary fusion of pink and some variations of brown? I Personally believe it was all three.....
*rant time*
One may belive that I am just one of those, who apply for a tracker from each and every series. Those people are quite mistaken. I have stalked Nex's Tracker dogs for a long long wile, no trackers have ever once caught my attention like those of the last 3 series (20 - 22). I'm Not one of those people who just Apply for the sake of applying and only want a Tracker dog just to say "Ha! I have a tracker!" Those kinds of people really disgust me greatly. Personally I love using my "adopted" Creatures and Characters in stories and other types of things both online and off. I develop them into something that mirrors "life like" and I know way more about my characters than anyone really needs to know, and much more than i will ever tell the general populace.
Why Have i gone off on a tangent and told this to anyone who will read this form? It is because i want them and more personally you LCD to know that as I apply for this Tracker dog, I will use him and I will love him as if he were my own pet in real life. I have applied for this tracker not to Just say "I have a tracker" and to flaunt him Vainly, but because I truly love and adore Him. His simple yet alluring quality take me back to a time when life was much simpler for me, and the fact that he is an elder tracker only makes me want him all the more. I see even greater potential for him in my little "story book" world then i did for # 71, and he will do good along side Will, in his side of my futuristic story.
Will it be used in any kind of story?
Yes, I wanted to use him along side Will, He lives inside of a city in my post apocalyptic world, Will is a bit of a Scholar, a scientist, and an avid "explorer of time". In other words, he is fascinated by the time before humanity was all but destroyed and he loves learning, and pushing, the abilities of those like Cora and himself. but I will get into more of that later on in my form.
The Handler
Full name: Wilfred Scott Leyman
Goes By: Will
Age: 23
Eye color: "Mood Ring"
Hair color: Blonde
5 word personality: Smart and Nerdy Hopeless Romantic
~ Much like Cora, Will is also a Cybernetic Organizum, he is much more advanced than her, and their 'interfaces' are interlocked Will once could control Cora's interface, altering her abilities and hearing and seeing every thing she did. There are a few pairs like them but unlike the rest Will allowed Cora to have some freedom, and eventually she learned to work her interface without Will's aid. A fact that she tends to flaunt at all opportune moments.
Describe its personality:
Selfish:
There is one basic way to explain this, he wants what he wants, and no one can stop him from getting it. If you do you may just end up with one serious bite.
Vain:
Though now a days he looks pretty disheveled, he once was so precise about how he looked, not a hair could be out of place, and not a fleck of dust could be on his fur. Even so, an old streak of his old habits still runs in him, on any given ‘bad’ day one may find him strutting his stuff in front of a floor length mirror, or in a vain attempt to make his offending fur lay flat once again in its glossy splendor of youth. In addition to this, he tends to ‘get caught in’ his own reflection. This did not fade with age, and he tends to stop and stare deeply into any reflective surface, no matter now bad his reflection looks
Wise:
Due to his age, he ‘has been around the block’ quite a few times. Though his intelligence came from mostly “street smarts” rather than books. He will always attempt to put in his 2 cents no matter what the situation. In-contrary to what those he worked with believed would happen to his mind as he got older, Blar seems to only get smarter with age.
Helpful:
If he hears a cry for help, or believes someone around hip is in need of his "services" he will indeed rush to fix or solve the arisen problem, even if he is not really needed. He does it all from the bottom of his heart, and is completely devastated if he makes the situation worse than really helping much at all.
"Book Worm":
Though his knowledge came from "street smarts" He recently has developed a deep love for books, it came from no were, but he finds the hobby quite enjoyable. One may wonder how exactly does he read? A "wild" tracker 'sees' through infrared. It was actually quite the challenge he tried many things, licking the paper, rubbing a paw across the paper, but all he ended up with was a bunch of ripped up pulp, one day he got the oddest notion to sniff a book, soon finding ink smells much different than the paper its used on. He set out with a goal to learn each individual scent of the letters of the alphabet. And after many long years of practice and development his goal was achieved.
Brazen:
Whether he or those around him believe something he wants, or wishes to do, is morally right or wrong he will achieve his goal boldly and without shame. No matter the obstacles that attempt to hinder him in his quest.
Fast Acting:
Though old, he is still remarkably fast and agile in both mind and body. When faced with a situation whether dire or other wise he will react accordingly and without a moments hesitation. There is also a possibility that this fast reaction is instinctual.
Manipulative:
Over the years he has become quite the gifted manipulator. He has learned that when his plans go wrong a simple down turned look a soft wimpier and laying down of the ears, and on occasion a friendly wag of the tail can do wonders when trying to get out of a sticky situation.
Silent
He is not a very vocal tracker, finding the only real communication he needs is action. Loud noises disturb him slightly and hurt his aging ears, instead he prefers low steady noise when he needs to see his surrounding and total silence when he does not. Silence is truly calming to him and he finds true comfort in its all knowing nothingness.
Write an introduction for your Tracker:
Will sat bolt upright in his bed, with a loud BANG! His forehead connected with the steel hard plastic over hang he and Cora had made temporary beds for the night. With a loud groan he fell back, once again successfully slamming his head on another hard surface below him. Angry stars danced across his vision temporally turning the world to something paralleling the night sky.
“Cora, what the heck?” he hissed at the offending shelf above him, in his daze his memory had temporarily brought forth the dreamy though that had awoken him. gritting his teeth he felt around on the top of his head for the bump he knew would be forming as he waited for Cora’s reply.
Alight laugh sounded from the overhang above him,
“I knew that would wake you up.”
Will let out a low growl like noise in reply. Cora was getting much stronger now, ever since she returned to the compound badly battered and almost no recollection of the events that that unfolded. Even so she was still remarkably young for someone who could control their system known as an interface. He grunted, it had taken him years of tinkering to even get to the level of control that he was on, and even that was a feat worth admiration. Still that could not ebb the fear that had been growing inside of him, it was not only fear of Cora but fear for Cora. Human beings have always had an odd dislike for anything that far exceeded their own capabilities, even if it was on their own side.
His thoughts were interrupted as Cora’s beautifully crafted heart shaped face appeared over the side of the overhang to peer down at him, a sharp toothed grin slowly distorting her delicate features into a picture of vampiric monstrosity.
“So.. whats the plan?”
she asked in minor curiosity.
“Dunno”
He replied, it was partly true He was quite confused as to what their next move would be. They were on a recon mission of sorts. One The City’s government could not trust to someone as rash and instinctual as Cora. No, that is the only reason why they would send someone like Will, an intellectual, out into the feild.
“Well, Boss man, I think we should start by exploring the area, yah know getting a feel for our surrounding's and all. But yah know its all up to you, cant take me too seriously with my brain all wired up to only listen to my instincts and protect nature and stuff. I'm just too ‘wild’ to trust.”
Great, Wills mind reeled at the sarcasm literally dripping from Cora’s words. Now she could hear his thoughts as well through their connection.
“You know im not like that..”
His voice trailed off, Cora’s words had stung but he knew were she was coming from. No one ever trusted a free willed ‘ranger’ as she was called. Will on the other hand was more of a “teck junkie” or just “Junkie” for short. The tinkerers and scholars of the time, those who worked behind the scenes making sure everyone in the little world they now lived in was nice and happy. But that was not always the case, occasionally there would always be a few who wanted to beat the system and control the world. It was just human nature the cycle of the lust for power was forever endless. That was why rangers were born in the first place.
“Will”
Cora’s words cut through his jumbles thoughts, he shook his head as if the simple motion would abate the thoughts running through his mind. He looked over in the general direction her voice had come from, noting she was already up and waiting for him, her black bag hanging over one solder, surveying the area with a look of utter boredom on her face.
“ Sorry”
Mumbling as he rolled out from under the shelf, the blasting high noon sunlight met with his eyes. He gritted his teeth in an attempt to keep from yelping in pain as his eyes quickly adjusted to the change. He heard a chuckle as Cora 'accidentally' let the single word "amateur" slip through their connection. With a low growl like noise he rolled onto his side and got to his feet.
Nonchalantly he looked around the area, they were in an old abandoned section of a rival city, but this one was special there was a place.. a lab really they were sent to check out. A place were they developed some sort of Biological Tracker device. A small smile plaid across his face as he he toyed with the though to having an army of such things at his finger tips. Once again he shook his head, he was beginning to think like Cora.
Putting the slightly disturbing thought temporarily out of his mind, he lightly clucked his tongue. After a few seconds elapse a small metallic mouse like squeak echoed down from a window high above were they had settled the night before. A small smile touched his features as a small winged robotic creature glided down to settle on his outstretched hands.
Will could both visibly see and mentally feel Cora's sigh as the small robot stretched his tiny form.
"Why, exactly did you bring one of those?"
she asked her voice dripping with minor sarcasm and bitter disdain.
"Zenrah here, is not just any old run of the mill drone Cora."
She rolled her eyes as she turned on her heel and began to slowly trot off. Clearly not wishing to discuss the matter farther.
Will muttered something inaudible clearly angered at Cora's lack of liking for technology, even considering what she was.
"Its True!"
Will yelled just a little too loud. He cringed as the dragon-type drone's sensors picked up his voice and blasted it through his interface. Sometimes it did not pay to alter a drone to connect to your systems, but on the other hand...
"Zen, take to the sky's"
The dragon-drone flashed his eye-lights and squeaked a reply. The hair on Will's arm rose as the Drone fired up its lifters and took flight. Within seconds it was a tiny speck of multicolored metal high above the buildings.
"It always does pay to have an eye in the sky"
he mumbled to himself as he loped off to catch up to Cora.
Will let out a low groan, it had been hours since they had set out for the day and he was tired.
"Cora"
he whispered his voice hoarse from the heat and his burning throats deprivision of water.
"What?"
she snapped back.
"Can't we rest? This place looks deserted.. and im not used to this kind of crap like you."
He hated to say it. After all he was MADE to protect places like this, the ancient ruins of the once booming culture of human kind, but unlike his counterpart he had chosen a life of desk work. He had made some changes to his system, and he now lacked those essential things that made Rangers so easily adaptable in every situation. Even so, were Cora lacked in ability he excelled.
Cora snorted in reply.
"Im not tired"
"Yeah, well im different than you."
"Yeah you got that right, weakling"
Cora stopped so abruptly that Will rand square into her, a whoosh of air escaping his lungs as it was forced out of them by the impact.
"Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow!"
Will exclaimed holding his throbbing nose, which had taken the hardest hit on the back of Cora's head.
"Oh sush!"
"But it really hurts! I think you broke it.."
"Nonsense, your bones are as hard as mine, and really now stop being such a baby, you don't want the 'ghosts' of this dead city to hear do you?"
Will scowled at her as he registered the sarcasm in her voice at the mention of the dead city.
"you'll never learn"
he muttered under his breath
"what was that?"
"Nothing"
he sighed and began walking once again, passing by Cora and taking the lead.
"I though you wanted to rest."
"No"
Will could almost hear Cora roll her eyes as she trotted lazily after him.
For the next few miles the two of them walked in silence, Will occasionally checking Zenrah's camera high overhead. It was not long before he spotted something odd in the distance. two buildings that looked far too... modernized, to fit in this dilapidated and dead part of the ancient city. Cora could sense something was up, and every now and then attempted to break into Will's interface to see what was up, but much to his relief he was keeping her at bey.
Of course to top it off <3:
