Kiara wandered through the forest. The one place where she could be free. Free of her mean parents, from school, everything. She had her long light brown hair pulled back in a ponytail and was sitting against her favorite willow in a large abandoned Orchard. There were apple tree's, orange tree's, peach tree's, and her favorite in the dead center, the Weeping willow. It looked like an old tree but its vines grew thick enough to swing on. She stood up and wandered over to the apple tree, taking an apple. Kiara took a bite after inspecting it for worm holes. She heard a squeak and turned around to see a baby deer with beautiful markings dash up to her with its mother, eyes frantic. Suddenly, a hunter burst through the orange patch and aimed its gun at the fawn, who was in front of its mother. Kiara dove for the beautiful fawn, pushing it out of range and cuddling it close to her. A horrible bang sounded and Kiara turned to see the mother on the ground, blood pooling out of a bullethole and the gun pointed at her and the fawn. Kiara's eyes widened with fear as she scooped up the fawn and ran. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew she was running fast. She veered off track towards a barn where she dashed in, placing the fawn in the straw next to her. Another bang sounded and a bullet came through the door missing Kiara and the fawn by a hair. Kiara scooped up the fawn again and climbed up the barn ladder to the loft. she placed the fawn up in the straw. Kiara grinned, she was just running for the fawn, she could handle the hunter. "Shhhhhh, we don't want the hunter realizing your up here!" Kiara whispered before opening up the door. The hunter was standing there, an evil grin on his face. "I hope you know your blood type." Kiara snarled before she knocked him out. She dragged him to the Orchard and dropped him. "I just got revenge for all the animals you've killed." Kiara whispered, walking back to the barn. The fawn was standing up on the loft as Kiara climbed up there and soothed it. "I know your mother is gone, but I'll raise you better tham she did and you'll grow up a happy, healthy deer." She said."And I'll live out here with you." The fawn let out a squeak as Kiara added the words. "Good night." Kiara whispered curling up to sleep.
One year later..
Kiara's eyes fluttered open and she realized Sugar was at the bottom of the loft, still asleep. She had grown just like Kiara had promised, a healthy, happy Deer and Sugar's markings were clearer now, the most beautiful markings Kiara had ever seen on a deer! Kiara leapt down to Sugar's level and sat next to her. The door shook. Kiara looked up.
Must be windy out. She thought. Suddenly, the door was knocked down and the Hunter stood before Kiara. "You little brat. I've been trying to find you and your equally bratty Deer for a year now." His eyes glittered with hatred. "To get my revenge," He muttered. A glint of silver was the last thing Kiara and Sugar saw.[/quote]
