Em scowled and gave Envy a harsh kick. Not really meaning too, but her mixed feelings getting the better of her. Envy squealed in surprise and took off at a gallop, a little spooked. Emerald bent low over his neck and let the wind blow over her. As she passed Frank she smirked. "Keep up!" she spat.

Guy waited impatiently for John. He always was one who liked to take his time. He looked over at Lyra and scowled before searching the castle crowd for the king.

John looked over his shoulder, between two guards, and saw Kyle jumping around with Lyra. His eyes went wide and he broke through the knight barrier that surrounded him. "What are you doing!" he shouted, more because of the distance and he had to than because he was angry.

Sheriff yawned and watched as his small group of ten men gathered up the last group of taxes from the small village around him. One more tax collection before they went out hunting for the group of outlaws wouldn't hurt. Well, at least it wouldn't hurt him. He couldn't say the same for the villagers. One of the knights walked up with a young man in his grasp. "Sheriff, this man refuses to pay." He said. The man struggled against the big knight and spat insults towards Sheriff and England. Sheriff smirked and shook his head. "Cut out his tongue. He won't need it anytime soon."

Frank watched as Emerald sped past on her horse, turning Diad to follow, the stallion shot forward after his friend and Frank sat back into his saddle and his legs were swung forward like a hunting position, his eyes gazing around the scenery as it blurred around them.

Emerald turned Envy slightly to the right, leaning against the stallion as she swiftly changed direction to the east. She smiled as the winter air blew against her face, through the cloak Frank had lent her, blowing Envy's white mane against her neck and tickling it. She could feel every move the stallion made underneath her, and it felt perfect. Nothing seemed off balance or strained, which would be something to watch out for with all the winter ice to sprain a horse's ankle.

Chris heard Arowin's voice and he struggled again to get up. "Arowin!" he coughed around the gag. It was muffled, but this thumping around was enough, and could be heard. However, it echoed off the trees and made pinpointing his location nearly impossible.

Sam smiled coldly, rocking back on his heels. He could handle a stubborn girl, no doubt. His headstrong habits could match hers blow by blow. Impatience gleamed maliciously in his disturbingly strange different colored eyes. He didn't move as the girl came closer. He was deadly, with words and with weapons, though usually he chose not to fight. "There's your proof," he said confidently, leering jauntily at the leader girl as the man yelled from the canopy above them. He drew a knife from his belt, a finely carved, deathly looking blade that was edged with sharp hooks. It's handle was engraved with torrents of white marble. He played with it casually, spinning it on his fingertips, running his palms over it's smooth surface, watching Arowin the whole time. He portrayed a look of nonchalance, while he really was tensed, ready for a fight if it came to that. The dagger he tooled with was a clear but small threat, showing Sam didn't care to be played with. "Don't be shy, now," Sam said in an almost cheery voice. "We're on the same side! All I ask is for the Prince, so that I may... deal with him. If you bring the Prince to me, here, by tomorrow night, then you can have your friend back safely. If not... well, that is up to me, I suppose. A simple decision, if you ask me." Sam turned to leave, bounding up higher into the tree, but waited to hear what Arowin would say, out of sight.

Prince Stephan nodded and stuck near Rebbecca's horse anxiously, glancing around him.

Arowin heard the thumping and was sure it was Chris. Her eyes gave the only hint of anguish she felt inside. "Fine." Arowin snarled out, "But if Chris is hurt I won't be very kind." she hissed before jumping down and picking ehr dagger up. Leaving this place was one of the hardest things Arowin ever had to do and her feet dragged slightly as she headed off towards her grey mount who stood waiting patiently for her. She swung up and charged her horse along the road soon catching up with Rebecca. "Where is the prince?" she asked her feeling anger rise up as she didn't notice him among them.

Rebecca swallowed hard, lying was something she had never been good at. "He escaped." she squeeked out seeing the pure rage in Arowin's eyes.

Arowin snarled out a shout, her anger had driven her beyong words. "YOU WHERE TO WATCH HIM!" she shouted out filling the whole forest with her rage once she had found her voice again. "You WILL find him and briung him to be before nightfall. If you don't I will kill you." she snarled before running her horse so hard that she had caught up with Emerald and Frank.

Tears formed in Rebecca's eyes and she pulled Lara to a halt. She had never seen Arowin so angry before, the pure rage in her eyes had terrified the smaller girl beyond all wits. What was she to do? Give up her friend or die?

Sam grinned with triumph, his eyes gleaming. He returned to guard Chris, kicking him sharply in the side.

Chris winced and snarled at the man.

Prince Stephan heard Arowin's angry words and froze, bringing Sinner to a halt, fear and distress vibrating inside him. He didn't know what Arowin wanted with him, but it didn't sound good. He could try and escape, go back to the safety of the castle, but that would mean Rebecca's death and he would be no better off than when he started his mission. He waited until Arowin was out of sight and beckoned Rebecca into the shadows on the side of the trail. "Rebecca, I'm sorry," he hesitated, unsure. "I-I'm afraid. For both of us. Maybe it would be best if you left the Hood and came with me, either back to the castle or somewhere else, I don't care. But I know that's asking a lot, so..." He held out his wrists, bracing himself. "Turn me in to Arowin. I've just caused trouble. I'll figure something out." Determination flashed in his green eyes.

Rebbeca moved quickly into the shadows wiping the tears from her eyes. She considered leaving with him but knew that would only make things worse. "I have a plan." she said in a shakey voice. She took of the cuffs and put one around ehr own wrist. "What if instead I chained you to me and hid the key." she said. She was determined to solve the problem she had caused without getting the prince hurt. "That way what ever happens I will have the same." she said holding out the other end of the link to him.

Emerald flinched and slowed Envy to a rocking canter when she heard Arrowin's angry shouts. Chris. The prince. She couldn't hear exactly what Arrowin was saying but by the look on her face and the tone of her voice, Emerald could tell she was not a happy camper. "Did you see him?" she asked. "The man who took Chris?"
