Aresann glanced around warily, frightened. She couldn't understand why the humans were crowding around the tree which she had taken refuge in. She had just wanted to be left alone. Yet somehow the humans followed her wherever she went. She did not feel at peace amongst the staring eyes of human and companions alike gawking at her.
A loud stream of chatter began to burst out at once, and the ahzenai perched up in her tree did not know what to do. She saw the humans place items on the ground which she couldn't quite see well, or they held up the items for her to look at. Words of appeal, urging Aresann to join them, mixed into a very confusing stream of sounds that emanated to her ears.
"Are you frightened? You must be. It's really a awful experience to be in a new world that you don't recognise."
A girl's soft, soothing voice, like the sound of a trainer reassuring a spooked animal, were one of the words that Aresann could make out from the chaotic loudness of the chatter from below her tree.
The girl went on. "But don't worry, everyone here has their best intentions in mind. They won't do anything to hurt you in anyway, trust in me."
The girl seemed normal enough. But her voice was reassuring, and gave solace to the spooked creature above her. Soon Aresann forgot all about the loud voices that were still talking. She focused her coppery eyes on the human girl, and inched forward a few paces cautiously.
The girl smiled. "Everyone else can offer lots of things. I can't promise you I have great things to offer, but what I can offer is friendship, a safe place to be."
Aresann hadn't thought about it before, but the girl comforted her, made her forget her fears of the general crowd. Even if she couldn't understand everything the human said well enough, she could understand that the girl was trying to extend her hand in friendship. And also to help her become used to the society. She had decided she would accept the girl's offer.
Slinking down the lean trunk of the tree, she nervously approached her. The girl held a broad smile on her face, holding out her hand to gently pat the warm, soft down of Aresann's flank.

This was lovely to read, but controlling the Ahzenai in your woo is not allowed unless it is specified. Perhaps you could rewrite this from your characters perspective?
The new vortex had been silent, but it sputtered a bit and began to dance soon after the newcomers arrived. It swirled and twisted, showing off a rampant display, almost as if it too was celebrating the move of Ahzen. As it swirled, a rich shade of brown began to fill in, almost like the color of hot cocoa. Soon, thin streaks of lighter, orange-brown snaked into the soil-brown color, curling and coiling in the swirl. The vortex flashed copper once, then an Ahzenai leaped extravagantly from the twister. Her fur was dark brown with elegant swirls of copper in them. She has moose-like, curled horns and shining, wild eyes. As the vortex began to settle, the Ahzenai grew hyper, all of her senses on overload.
The new ahzenai's fur was fluffed out, her copper eyes shooting from person to person, from ahzenai to ahzenai. She noticed she was surrounded by water and crouched down defensively, her tail curled around her feet. Glancing up, she noticed Valcyon. He gave her a rather sympathetic look and indicated to the path that led up to the vortex. Jumping to her paws, she rocketed down the stretch, kicking up a trail of sand behind her. Nearly running into a person, she skidded to a terrified halt and looked around at all of the people. Her heart hammered in her chest, her element swirling nervously above her back. Lashing her tail, she looked for an escape. The ahzenai noticed a tree nearby and clambered up it, with squirrel-like grace. Huddling on one of the branches, her eyes surveyed the area around her like a watchful lion. She didn't know what was going on or where she was.
"Aresann!" Valcyon called, a hint of sympathy in his voice.
Aresann curled her bushy tail around the branch and allowed her muzzle to rest on the rough bark, a copper eye focused watchfully on the crowd. Aresann was rather feral, but she had a good heart. She needed someone who would be patient with her as she learned the ways of society, but also who had a lot of tenacity to put up with her boundless energy. This ahzenai was well-adapted to the outdoors, so she would not put up with being stuck inside.
"Me no... know..." Aresann began awkwardly, "What do... but hope... some creature help." she spoke in broken English.
Jackie hitched up her jeans and flicked her brown stetson hat so that it re-aligned itself in a forward fashion on her head. She danced a minute in her shoes, pounding the boots into the earth so that her socks stopped feeling so stuffed up in there. It was a terrifying display, Jackie dancing like a madwoman and kicking up copious amounts of dust. She managed to scare away a few potential wooers and grinned in delight at their flight from the cave. "Stop scarin' good people, Jackie," she growled at herself, "you gotta calm yourself down sometimes, you know?" Now Jackie was ready to approach the squirrel-like Azhenai perched in the tree above her. She frowned; this was no good! Aresann was too high up in the tree for proper communication. "Aresann, my good girl!" Jackie hollered, cupping both hands around her mouth and leaning back. "You don't come down outta that tree, I'ma have to come up to talk!" Jackie waited. A minute swiftly elapsed and Aresann was still perched, her large golden eyes staring down. Jackie made a swift decision and began to hoist herself up and onto the nearest branch. She climbed the tree, grunting and huffing until she reached the branch where Aresann was sitting. Jackie took a moment to rest, leaning heavily on her knees and puffing with a face as red as iron oxide. "Whoo, gal," she puffed, smiling fondly at Aresann. "You're a lotta work already, and that's before I've even darn well started the woo!" Jackie started to lean back before realizing that this was a huge mistake, and swiftly gripped the tree branch underneath her. She shifted in position, shuffling along the branch until her back was to the tree. Once this position was attained, Jackie heaved a deep sigh, settling into her seat, and began her rambling woo.
"So I suppose," she began,"You ain't never been much else other than this cave-type place, I see," she nodded in agreement with herself before continuing. Aresann had a brightness in her eyes that Jackie enjoyed greatly; the will to explore, to adventure and to discover. "I like the look in your eyes, girl," Jackie remarked. "You have the thirsty look. The eyes that haven't seen near enough yet and are dyin' to see more." Jackie pulled a pine twig from her pocket and was about to begin chewing it (a queer habit of hers) when she realized that she could share a little of the outside with Aresann. She proffered the twig to the big cat type Ahz and smiled gently. "You give that a sniff, girl" she said, giving the twig a little wave. "That's an honest-to-goodness sprig off a Durango fir; type of pine tree that grows only in Mexico. I can only smell the pine, but you could prolly smell a heck of a lot more off that twig. Smells tell a lot." Jackie allowed Aresann a minute or two to sniff the twig and once the Azh was done, she placed the twig in her mouth and began to chew. Noting Aresann's expression of disbelief, Jackie grinned and showed Aresann her stash of pine, hidden in the pockets of her rucksack. "I travel a bunch," she continued telling Aresann, closing her eyes and breathing in deep of the air of the cave. "I still got a lotta places I wanna see, but there's a bunch I've already seen and would happily enjoy again. The world is a wonderful place, I tell ya Aresann. But if you can't share the world with no one, there's almost no point to seein' it." Jackie tipped her stetson down to hide the sad expression in her eyes. "I get... lonely, so to speak, Aresann. I don't know if you've ever felt loneliness, but it's a pretty awful thing for a person to stomach. I wander; I roam around. Not many people wantin' to truly wander with a person these days. Eventually they just wanna settle down and live a comforted fire-lit life. Can't say I haven't wanted to myself..." Jackie lifted her stetson back up and took a long look into Aresann's eyes. Her smile twitched and she almost found herself tearing up, but kept a stiff upper lip. She didn't want Aresann to take her for a weakling. "At the moment," she said, grinning, "the only thing I can offer you would be some more pine twigs and anywhere in the world you're willing to go. I ain't gonna pressure you to join me, but I can tell ya it would help me... would help me with my loneliness. It'd give me someone to share the world with. Would be a beautiful thing to have you come with me." Jackie smiled again, placing an old bone down on the tree branch as an offering before she carefully guided her boots down to the floor, heaving a great sigh of relief as boot met earth once again. She looked back up at Aresann and grinned, waving her hands like a madwoman. "Nice talkin' to ya, Aresann!" She yelled. Jackie swept off her hat and saluted the beautiful chocolate brown Ahz, bowing 'til her hair swept the floor. She then straightened up and turned, preparing to leave. Jackie swiftly wiped away the little salty tears that had started streaking down her face as she left, snuffling and sniffling. She hadn't wanted to cry in front of Aresann, but she was darn near bawling now that she was out of sight and out of hearing. Her boots clicked against the cave floor as she walked out into the sunlight and leaned against the cave entrance, waiting for Aresann to make her decision.
