The new vortex had been silent, but it sputtered a bit and began to dance soon after the newcomers arrived. It swirled and twisted, showing off a rampant display, almost as if it too was celebrating the move of Ahzen. As it swirled, a rich shade of brown began to fill in, almost like the color of hot cocoa. Soon, thin streaks of lighter, orange-brown snaked into the soil-brown color, curling and coiling in the swirl. The vortex flashed copper once, then an Ahzenai leaped extravagantly from the twister. Her fur was dark brown with elegant swirls of copper in them. She has moose-like, curled horns and shining, wild eyes. As the vortex began to settle, the Ahzenai grew hyper, all of her senses on overload.
The new ahzenai's fur was fluffed out, her copper eyes shooting from person to person, from ahzenai to ahzenai. She noticed she was surrounded by water and crouched down defensively, her tail curled around her feet. Glancing up, she noticed Valcyon. He gave her a rather sympathetic look and indicated to the path that led up to the vortex. Jumping to her paws, she rocketed down the stretch, kicking up a trail of sand behind her. Nearly running into a person, she skidded to a terrified halt and looked around at all of the people. Her heart hammered in her chest, her element swirling nervously above her back. Lashing her tail, she looked for an escape. The ahzenai noticed a tree nearby and clambered up it, with squirrel-like grace. Huddling on one of the branches, her eyes surveyed the area around her like a watchful lion. She didn't know what was going on or where she was.
"Aresann!" Valcyon called, a hint of sympathy in his voice.
Aresann curled her bushy tail around the branch and allowed her muzzle to rest on the rough bark, a copper eye focused watchfully on the crowd. Aresann was rather feral, but she had a good heart. She needed someone who would be patient with her as she learned the ways of society, but also who had a lot of tenacity to put up with her boundless energy. This ahzenai was well-adapted to the outdoors, so she would not put up with being stuck inside.
"Me no... know..." Aresann began awkwardly, "What do... but hope... some creature help." she spoke in broken English.

Oelaer watched through a large spruce tree as a cocoa-brown Ahzenai appeared. I stared at him, and I couldn't help but giggle. He seemed so intreaged with the chocolate-looking female, and myself felt as I could reach out of take a nibble.
After several moments, I could feel something wet and sticky in my pocket. Ewww... Nasty! I yelled in my head, as I grabbed a melted Hershey bar from my jeans and hurled it into the forest. Oelaer glared at me in disbelief, "You know what you just did, right?" he questioned, snatching my binocs and plastering them on his face for a better look at Aresann.
"Ehh... Ruin a chocolate bar?" I said, not really knowing what he was talking about. Oelaer rolled his eyes and nudged me with is muzzle, "You littered, you dipstick." he laughed, then peered at the Vortex again. OH!!!! Yeah... "About that..." I whispered; but was soon cut off with the sound of a large bang. Oelaer looked at me, worried. "What was that?" he thought out loud. "I... I have no idea." I looked cautiously at the trees again, and swung my legs around a little more, as we were hanging from the spruce still.
"Oelaer? Do you... Have a..." I tried to think of a way to put this 'nicely'. Oelaer caught on quick, "Of course not!! Just because she's pretty doesn't mean I have a -- you know." I snapped my fingers, "Ah-ha! You think she's pretty!" I laughed out loud, or as Oelaer said, 'having an LOL moment'. My blue buddy hit me in the shoulder with his massive paw, nearly knocking me out of the tree, "Hey! You thought she looked cool, too, you know!" he slumped and peered into the binoculars again.
"Aww, big lug. It's OK. I won't tell anybody!" I promised, rubbing his should comfortingly. "Of course you won't! Because even if you WANTED to, you couldn't do that to me, or ANY other Ahzenai for that matter." he chuckled.
I watched as Aresann climbed up the limb, stuttering with her English. "Oelaer... Go talk to her." I prompted. He flicked a bug off his shoulder with his chin, "No..." he whispered, embarrassed. "I'd get too nervous!" he exclaimed. I started massaging his shoulders, "Don't worry! I'll go get her attention, too, if you want." I smiled warmly. Oelaer's eyes got big and round, "Really?" I nodded, "Mhmm."
I leapt from the tree, landing awkwardly, but stood up straight and ran to Aresann. I felt my heart race as I got nearer, because I had the strangest feeling of sympathy for her. I shook of the thought and climbed up the tree after her. "Hey, Aresann." I said, hoping there wasn't some Ahzenai language that I missed a class of. "My friend Oelaer... He's a real sweetie, and... Well he's got this--" I rubbed my chin, "Crush, I'll say."
My cheeks felt hot, and I knew I was blushing. "And he feels pretty bad, too. He's still getting used to my life and the things that I do, that he doesn't. So I was wondering if... If..." I stammered. In the comer of my eye, I could just make out the image of my white tiger cub, Vitani, stumbled upward from the tree. "Great..." I whispered.
"I'm Razz, by the way. And I would love it if you came with Oelaer and I. Oelaer seems to like it, and I hope that you will, too." I smiled warmly. "Good luck." I whispered politely. "I'll get Oelaer for you." I winked. As I clmibed down the tree, I felt somewhat like a monkey, perhaps. I zoomed back to the spruce and sprang up the old tree. Oelaer was stroking Vitani with his big paws, "Aww... Cute." I said.
Oelaer looked at me, hopeful, "Well?"
I grinned, and took Vitani into my lap, "Have at 'er, Oelaer! Bring on the charm!"
