A weary shuffling echoes too loudly in the cave for Skee's tastes as she edges her way into the cavern, once again a visitor to Ahzen. It had been far too long since she had come across the phenomena of the vortex, but again she finds herself coming in for a some relief. Her travels this time appear to have worn her out; pack near empty, shoulders slouched, and face ragged from a rough trek.
Who knows where she had been, and her face does not show interest in sharing with her fellow humans and visitors that come and go. Instead, she moves carefully to an empty spot by the water, further away from the crowd, and washes her hands free of grim from a recent climb... somewhere out in there in world.
“It's time for a break, I think,” she muses more to herself than to any other. From the corner of her eye, a dark shape catches her attention, startling her out of her own silent thoughts. She turns slowly in the direction of the new Ahzenai that had appeared between one moment and the next, regarding him openly for one brief moment before turning her head back to the water to be more subtle.
Being a little consumed by her admiration and surprise at seeing him there, she almost misses catching the name called out by Valcyon. When the new Ahzenai speaks, her eyes close briefly at the deep voice, as if it were a balm to her weary soul. With a sigh, she returns to what she had been doing putting off actually speaking to Oelaer and letting others have a turn or a say. Still, she continues to study the Ahzenai from her peripheral vision as she refreshes herself by the water.
When she feels it is a good moment, she calls out softly, “Oelaer's such a smooth name. I think it fits you well.” An unusual way of greeting, but at least she has turned in his direction when speaking. “My name is Skeseth. Or just Skee, really. Not quite a good match as yours, if you ask me.” She stretches her legs out before her along the edge of the water, wincing at the slow movements-- oh yes, she is quite sore from her recent trip. “I think it is time for a change.”
Her eyes move back to gaze at the water, even if her words continue to be directed towards Oelaer. “Traveling alone worked for so long; I have my own pace, I can go off to explore what I like without getting sidetracked, but it is a lonely way to go.” She pauses in her words, letting her voice drop a bit and yet still audible for the Ahzenai. “I've taken in my share of interesting places for some time. I'm here to give my legs a break-- and you seem like the kind that could teach me a way or two on how to relax. I'd be honored if you joined me, even if only for a time. The world still calls to me, but right now I just want to... rest.”
Leaning back on her arms, she does just that. Except this time she turns back to face Oelaer, to await his decision. With one hand she reaches into her thin pack, pulling from it a dagger to lay out at her side. “Though if you do consider to join me outside as well, I could offer this to begin with-- it helps in the travels.”
