ALERNATE LINES!!! 8D

The vortex swirled lazily around, as it normally did without preparing to create an ahzenai, though strangely, it began to change colors. The vortex flashed colors of deep, mystic blues along with light blues that reminded one of the sea. A small spatter of pale, glowing yellow was mixed in. Few noticed until someone exclaimed about the oddity that was taking place.

Slowly, one paw emerged from the vortex. Casually, a dark blue, rather bulky ahzenai revealed himself. His pale yellow eyes scanned the cavern, then his jaws split into a large yawn. Slowly, he meandered over to the river and looked into it, smiling at his reflection. True, he was rather vain, but at the same time, he took pride in his natural appearance, taking no time to groom himself at all. He loved the water, for it provided many things for this earth, including life. It also allowed him to see himself and others around him.

"Oelaer." Valcyon called to the crowd of people quietly.

Pricking his ears a bit, he observed the reflection of those who approached him with interest. He had no problem either staying in Ahzen or going off with a new companion, but he took no interest in debates or things that took a lot of energy. He also didn't like to make plans. He was a 'go with the flow' kind of guy who was easy to get along with. His eyes held a friendly note as he turned to face the crowd. Calmly, he sat down and wrapped his bushy tail around his paws. Lights reflected from the shine of the vortex upon the water danced across Oelaer's blue fur, giving him a magical appearance.

"Hello to all of you." he dipped his head, his deep, relaxed voice resonating around the quiet cave. "I'd like to hear what you have to say." he smiled, an air of calmness radiating from his presence alone.

My fingers sifted through kitten-soft fur. The small, silver tabby I held cradled in my arms, purred softly, its eyes closed, as I stroked it. I repeated the action, the only thing that could really distract me from the daily worries and stress in my mind. My mind wasn't presently alert at the moment, nor was it drifting casually away as it always did when I was bored or tired. It was just stuck in some sort of unending daze, that could only allow me to stroke Isalle's fur and stare into the distance.

A sudden soft meow made me jump, immediately jerking me from my trance. I was always good at telling the emotions of most animals, and right now I could see Isalle staring at me accusingly, as she always did when I wasn't paying enough attention to her.

Leaping from my arms, Isalle stretched, then stared at me again, her tail sort of beckoning me to follow. I shook my head, trying to erase the feeling of the daze from my head. I stood from the tree stump I was sitting on, and as I tried to pick her up, Isalle hissed at me furiously and tried to scratch my hand.

"Geesh, cat, what is wrong with you today?" I muttered. Isalle ignored me, and started padding toward the cave. I watch her do so, then started to follow. I didn't really have a choice, since my sister adored that cat and would be heartbroken and furious if I left Isalle out in the wilderness.

The damp, cool cavern provided little light for me to see with. It was fine for Isalle, seeing as she was a cat, and had better senses than I did, but I could barely see at all and it was not occasional for me to start tripping every so often. "Where are you leading me, cat?" I whispered softly, annoyed with Isalle walking around at random. I'd already lost all sense of direction, what with walking at so many turns and cross-ways.

I myself didn't the least bit recognise this cavern. I'd been to a few before, but this one was unfamiliar, and from the untouched, natural looks of it, it hadn't been discovered by anyone yet.

The narrow passages that I'd been passing through led me to a dead end. I stared blankly at the smooth, grey rock that the cave was made of, wondering how I would get out of this wretched place now. As I tried to stop, I stumbled slightly, though I didn't know what I'd tripped over. A golden, soft light burst out of nowhere, though I couldn't tell what had just happened, not when I was face-down.

As I got up, my eyes widened, either with awe or shock, I don't know.

The cavern was huge. The ceiling was as high as that of a cathedral's. A waterfall gushed out of a crack in the rocks, from a underground spring, I suppose. Bushes dotted the landscape everywhere. Strangest of all was a bright, swirling vortex. At least, that was what I thought it to be. I didn't know how I got here, when only a moment ago I was being surrounded by a cave on all four sides.

While scanning the length of the entire cavern, which would have been big enough to grow an entire forest, I noticed a pair of eyes, wide and sharp, staring at me. And they weren't Isalle's.

Those piercing yellow eyes stared at my human ones. The water gushing downward from the waterfall behind, scattered diamond-blue brilliants across his long, dark fur. Most felines and canines I knew hated the water, even a droplet of it, on their fur. Clearly this one was an exception. The light reflected from the water created a soft dappled glow on the creature, but maybe I was mistaken or dreaming. Probably.

There was no sign of aggression I could make out from the Ahzenai, only a cool curiosity. I studied him - if it was a him, that was - carefully. The dark and light shades of blue that defined him, looked like the shades of the ocean at night. His feline proportions were slightly bulky and agile, and he was fairly large in size. Two long, curved horns protruded from his head. His sharp, high looks reminded me of people who often had a air of vanity and arrogance, but yet he also had a friendly aura about him.

He was not much different to me from a domestic housecat, other than his size, which was about that of a normal lion's. A slow, lethargic aura seemed to be projected by this Ahzenai, a creature that had been rumoured to exist though there wasn't much evidence to prove their existence until now. Until a flesh and blood one appeared, right before you.

"Hey," I muttered to the Ahzenai. The idea was crazy, a human trying to communicate with a different species. No one would ever believe that any other creature that wasn't a human would understand English, yet this creature, so mythical, so unreal, seemed like it could understand perfectly well. A smile creeped onto my lips. If only my friends could see me right now. No doubt, they'd call it strange, weird, crazy, being the skeptics they always were. But it didn't feel any different from talking to another person.

Still staring at each other. I didn't know what to do. Maybe he was expecting something from me? A treat? A sacrifice? I didn't even know if he would eat human food. I searched in my pack, wondering if there was any suitable things I could feed the Ahzenai with. As I poured over the contents of my backpack, my fingers touched the hard, cold surface of a can of cat food, that I must've bought for Isalle.

Isalle. Oh, gods. I'd forgotten all about the cat. But I didn't know where she'd went, so how could I possibly search for her? I felt like slapping myself. How could I? So, maybe our relationship wasn't that great, but the cat didn't make for a bad companion. I sunk down, feeling depressed. Now, I'd have to deal with more trouble. Great.

I glanced up, feeling a shadow looming over me. The Ahzenai was there, right by my side. Instinctively, I jerked away. It was disturbing how noiselessly he could appear anywhere, without a notice.

Somehow the Ahz reminded me of Isalle. Both of them shared the same streak of vanity, along with the same sort of lethargic aura, never using their energy on things they couldn't bother about. Isalle was rather fond of water, and didn't flinch or go crazy at the sight or touch of the liquid, unlike a normal cat, and it seemed like this particular creature was, too. It gave me comfort to be around Isalle, and the Ahzenai was rather enjoyable to be around, too.

Without thinking, I reached out, and patted the Ahzenai's flank. It was surprising, how the dark, soft down was, not unlike those of of Isalle's. I had been expecting rough, thick and sharp bits of fur sticking out all over the place. I grinned faintly. I could tell, that if Isalle was there at the moment, she would've been great friends with this Ahzenai.

Esme had remained in the cave after Rusalka had chosen her companion. From the waters edge she saw the vortex out of the corner or her eye, it had come to life with the hues of blue and yellow swirling in its vast mass. It was truely a sight to see as a paw followed by a bulky form emerged from the swirling vortex, Esme watched the Azhenai with interest as he came to the water looked at his reflection and then over the crowd. Then Valcyon called out the new arrivals name, Oelear, it was an interesting name that rang in her wolven ears. Her wolven tail twitched with eagerness to speek with the great creature as she heard him speak and noticed how close he'd come to where she sat.

Esme looked upon Oelear as the water reflected off his blue and black pelt, it was mystic and mezmorizing. Could she really bring herself to talk to this great cat like creature, even though eyes eyes were friendly his form made him a bit intimidating. He also seemed vain yet took pride in his appearance. He hadn't groomed is slightly unkept pelt though, it really didn't take away from his appearance. Esme took to her feet but didn't move from her spot, she waited for the one before her finish before she spoke.

"Greetings Oelear." She said ina kind tone as she bowed. "How are you this fine day?" She asked him. She still hadn't approached his, for she wanted him to have his space. Her ears and tail twitched as she thought of her next words, it seemed she was having trouble finding her words. "I know you've had others come to you before myself, but I would be honored and quite please if you would join me and my companion Lukina on our travels." She told him. "We travel to many places and enjoy sleeping under the star filled sky, for it gives off a wonderful feeling for us. I guess I won't take up any more of your time and let you think things over. I'll see you around." She told him, then switched to her wolf form and walked to another spot by the water.

I lean against the cold rock wall of the cave I wandered into by pure luck. Near where I was leaning I spotted a river which had this gorgeous waterfall. Ironically it was the first waterfall I had ever seen and I lived near the ocean! Lazily I gaze around the cave like area, of course the place wasn't a horrible place but I just couldn't help but see it as a lifeless area with the exception of these large horned felines called Ahzenai's. In my opinion I think I'd rather be somewhere outside were I could gaze up at the cloudy morning skies or the night sky filled with twinkling stars. I tend to wonder if the large Ahzenai sitting by the strange vortex ever misses such sites or if he ever saw the wonderful sites outside of this drafty stoney place. I believe his name was Valcyon or something but I wasn't sure all the way, everyone did say I have a short memory span anyways. I was about to start wondering about a few other random things, relating on how the Ahzenai felt about us people but a flash of color which bloomed from the vortex took my attention away.

I look up in wonder as colors of the vast blue ocean sprung from the swirling vortex. The colors themselves just brought back memories of when I was just a mere naïve girl who loved the ocean. I did live by the beach after all and I loved to go diving. A smile creeps across my face as deep mystic blue colors swirled around, reminding me of the murky depths of the vast ocean. It was then when a small flicker of gold shone in from the swirling blues that sparked my interest. For me it was allot like spotting a sign of life in a ocean after finding nothing but water for a while but that was in fishing terms, at the same time it gave a strange calming feeling. I continue to sink in and out of my mind but I was alert enough to at least catch this new Ahzenai's name. "Oelaer", I say to myself. In a strange way I thought the name suited him, the letter O of his name reminded me of oceans.

I noticed his pale yellow eyes looking at each and every suitor which crowded near where he was. Randomly I start to laugh a bit, noting how his eyes told me he wanted nothing more then to lay around and relax. With a friendly grin I start walking near where he stood, right away I could tell that from everyone in the crowd I was the one who looked a complete mess. Untamed dark brown hair, strange brownish red eyes, knee high mismatched socks which I loved since they were my favorite colors, blue and green. Unlike other girls I truly didn't care how I looked or what I wore which would explain to many why I'm always in baggy shorts and random t-shirts. Yet for this day I luckily had on clean enough clothes with the exception of sand dusted on parts along with a few grass stains since I did enjoy playing along the beach and field which was near my house. Then again most of my clothing had stubborn grass stains which refused to rub off no matter how many times I washed them.

Knowing how laid back Oelaer looked, I knew he wouldn't judge on how someone looked which gave me a bit of confidence. I wanted nothing more then to befriend him. In a way I also wanted to press my palms against his seemingly soft fur which was in an exotic mix of blue shades which somewhat reminded me of waves the ocean produced. I wondered how warm and silky or soft his fur must feel but I was not the type to just randomly touch any one or any animal without getting to know them first. Even if he did look like a large feline with the exception of curled ram like horns which I really liked since I'm a cat lover and I thought horns were awesome, I would treat him they way I'd treat anyone else I wanted to befriend. Which meant, don't step into his personal bubble unless he let me in.

I look up at him, slightly peeking at his eyes though I normally disliked looking anything in the eyes. "He seems...so different", I mumble to myself, noting how in a strange way he seemed more humane then the other Ahzenai I seen. It almost felt as if we were equals and maybe we were. With the friendliest smile I could muster without looking strange I approach carefully, trying not to bump into other suitor's or trip over my own two legs.

A soothing feeling erupted around me the closer I approached Oelaer, it felt so much like watching the sea at night. "Um...hi! My name is Hani", I say as soon as I managed to get up next to him. I slowly take a seat down on the rocky ground, wincing a bit as I feel a few pebbles digging into my legs. I was eager to leave this place as soon as possible, but with a hint of luck I might gain a friend to keep me company to where I was headed. With a bright smile I gaze at Oelaer and randomly ask him, "Have you ever gotten to see the clouds in the sky as they go by? You know at the beach its the best view along with watching sunsets, have you ever seen a sunset yet?". I pause then wonder about how many Ahzenai even got to see the lovely sand filled beaches or gone diving into the slightly cool waters of the sea.

I look down frowning at how unfair it was that they miss so much fun things in life, with a determined look in my brownish red eyes I look back up at Oelaer, well more like looking into his pretty pale yellow eyes and said to him, "Well if you didn't then I want to take you, I live by the beach and I love it there with its warn sunshine, sand, and the vast oceans full of wonders. It would be unfair if you get stuck in such a small place like here without ever seeing the sun setting over the ocean or hear the sea gulls cry out, I would like to be friends with you Oelaer. That is if you don't mind it". I then smiled with a slight yawn and laid down flat on my back, ignoring the pebbles poking into my sun tanned skin. From playing on the beach so much my pale skin gotten tanned by the warm sun. I shiver a bit from the cold feeling radiating from the stony floor, making me wonder if the sun ever had a chance to heat the rocks around here.

If Oelaer dose want to join me to just hang out at the beach I knew I would be able to give a house warming gift, earlier on I just learned that my cat Peaches was going to have kittens. Oh how Peaches looked so beautiful as she laid on her pillow in a patch of sunlight which brightened her light orange pelt into a golden orange color, the light also made her seemingly light green eyes look as if they were a light sea foam color with dark teal pupils. Peaches is like a golden tigress only with dazzling light green color eyes which at times seemed a light sea foam color.

I knew for a fact my orange tabby Peaches will have a gorgeous litter of kittens soon and so I wanted to offer one to Oelaer when I head back but only when the kittens are able to walk and see so they wouldn't get hurt. Judging from how beautiful Peaches looked I bet the kittens will look just as beautiful. A nice warm kitten would be a wonderful gift but that was only my opinion since I truly can't tell what Oelaer will like or dislike. Anyways I wanted some rest before heading back since it took me a while to wander into Ahzen so I know for a fact it would take a while to return to the beach where I lived. I truly can't wait to return home with the promise of newborn warm kittens to watch over and hopefully they will all be alright since it was Peaches first time having kittens So in a drowsy voice I mumble, "I hope you don't mind me resting a bit and I hope you like kittens" before closing my eyes, letting the soothing feeling Oelaer radiated from himself along with the darkness behind my closed lids drift me off to a deep dreamless sleep.

=3 I wanted to try out for him and I had fun writing this XD lol my first one got deleted so this is the second, I liked my first one better ;_;.....=3 anyway I hope its not too boring XD as the character of mine is a random happy go lucky kind of girl lol
o3o and I used a warm kitten (i don't like seeing them as a item) =3 and Peaches is a real cat.

I looked up from where I was sitting while waiting for the perfect Ahzenai to come out of the portal. Many had come and gone with new partners since the last time I'd tried. "Oelaer!" Valcyim called. I took a glance at the newest Ahzenai to arrive and immediately knew that he was the one for me. I looked on as Oelaer admired himself in the water's reflection. I knew he could see me too, in the water's reflection, but I waited, waited till he greeted the people in the cave.

I then stepped forwards, saying, "Greetings Oelaer, I am Weed-Sama, but you can call me Weed if you'd like." I stopped to take a breath. "I see that you like water. Well, do I! Oelaer, if you come with me, I can bring you to a place where there is an endless stretch of open water. In it are many living creatures, both known and unknown." I stopped. "I guess that it's your choice in the end." I sighed when the handsome blue Ahzenai did not reply me. I then walked back to the corner of the cave where I was before Oelaer came and sat there, patiently waiting for Oelaer's decision.
