Her strong head turned as she set her gentle gaze onto the hunters trail. She stomped her shining hooves and raced down the path, her body swaying in rhythmically with the wind. She looked at the open valley, engulfed in flames. She looked down at the man made cars and guns littering the valley floor. Flames rose above her head as she scanned for survivors. Even some humans had fallen. She gracefully bounded closer to the flames nosing at the hot remans of other deer. As the flames roared higher and louder she raced off, her legs shaking at the disturbing scene. She couldn't let go of her past, and it had scared her future.

A small fawn looked down into light blue water, as the fish resurfaced for air, small ripples in the water raced across the pond.
"Mom, how come the water moves." The small fawn asked gently.
"Mother earth, my child." The tall graceful bright red doe told the fawn.
The small darker red fawn nodded, but knew she would never truly understand it.
A large white neck raven flew across the sky, giving a loud warning screech.
"Mama, why is the raven crowing?" Asked the small fawn, her legs giving a worried wobble.
