Tamicia couldn't help gasping as she saw Quida. Her markings, the scent of cinnamon that seemed to accompany her, the way she walked… Everything about her seemed beautiful, mysterious and amazing. She’d always been to shy to go up to them before, but Tamicia just knew she’d have to woo this Ahz.
“If you would like me as a companion...bring me something from this world that smells beautiful.”
Bacon.
That was Tamicia’s first thought as Quida spoke. She’d always been a bit of a foodie, and could think of many that would smell wonderful, but she didn’t have access to any of them here. She sighed, about to resign herself to watching the beautiful Ahzenai go off with someone else, when she remembered.
When she’d walked to this cave, she’d wandered through many amazing places. But her favorite had been one particular forest. There she’d touched plants she’d only ever seen in pictures… and seen herbs and spices she’d only ever had dried and in bottles for cooking. She’d brought some with, too.
Smiling at the knowledge that she just might have something that would impress Quida, Tamicia leapt off the boulder nimbly, walking through the cave to Ahz as she pulled a folded handkerchief out of her pocket.
“Hello Quida.” She said, crouching down next to her. That name… It just rolled of the tongue. She was tempted to say it again, play with the word and it’s sounds, but she stopped herself, knowing it would be disrespectful.
“I know of many wonderful smelling things I could’ve brought for you,” She told Quida as she set the handkerchief on the floor and slowly unfolded it, “But these are the only things I had with me.” Tamicia smiled and breathed deeply through her nose as the scents of mint, cilantro and cayenne filled the air. It was a strange combination, but one that was deliciously sweet, spicy and elegant all at the same time.
She slowly stood up, leaving the offering of spices front of the Ahz. “I can show you more sometime, if you like.”
