I blinked open my eyes, hearing excited voices echo around the cave. I stood, walking towards the sound and paused, staring in awe at the beautiful colors that the vortex showed, swirling endlessly in the cavern. I waited for a few moments before the new Ahzenai appeared. Mist padded up beside me and stared at the beautiful female as Valcyon called quietly from his perch, "Quida!"

"She seems like she'd like to explore..." Mist murmured, glancing at me to reply.

"Yeah." I agreed, slowly making my way down towards her with Mist following behind me. Many other humans were walking towards her, hoping to woo the beautiful animal. "All of you." Quida's voice rang out from the cavern floor, she paused for a moment, "If you would like me as a companion... Bring me something that smells nice." Quida concluded, sitting and waiting for the humans around her to bring her something that would tempt her to come with them. "Mist, do we have anything that smells nice in here?" I asked my Ahzenai as I crouched and began to shuffle through my pack, searching for something I could use to woo the gorgeous animal. "I think we have some herbs, but they don't really smell good.." Mist murmured, turning to gaze into my pack. She sniffed it curiously, "Something does smell nice though..." she said as she gently pushed me out of the way and dug through the pack, sniffing. I watched her, wondering what could possible smell good in my pack.

"Here it is!" Moon said as she ducked out of my pack, clutching a bright blue-ish purple flower. "Hmm.." I murmured, wondering if that would do. "Do you really think she'd like it?" I asked Mist, since my nose wasn't as sharp as hers. "I myself enjoy the scent of sweet pea, afterall it does have a nice scent even to humans." Mist said, handing me the flower. I shrugged, "Worth a shot.." I muttered, turning and walking towards the ring of humans and other companions around Quida. Many people had the ideas of flowers and I could see people going in and out of the cave searching for items that might woo over Quida. I grinned, hoping I could maybe woo this wonderful creature as I waited at the back of the ring with Mist at my side.

Soon we were near the front and I was growing impatient, though I was careful to not fidget. "Come on!" Mist murmured as she cut through the crowd. I followed her, finding myself infront of Quida. "Hello." I said, grinning as I carefully placed the flower infront of her to sniff. "I hope you'll come with me to find more things that smell like this." I said, motioning towards the flower. "It isn't much to show the outside world but I hope you'll like it just the same." I said, wishing I could show her the marvelous wonders of the world outside the cave, but first I would have to woo her. "There are many beautiful places I know where flowers like this sweet pea grow, and many other flowers too if you like them. If you come with me I can show them to you." I added, grinning before I turned away with Mist following. "I think that went well." Mist said, looking excited as she skipped along beside me, hoping that Quida would come with them so she could have another Ahzenai friend. I laughed, "She probably thinks I'm an idiot." I said, grinning as I stroked Mist's head and sat against a wall, waiting for Quida to give her choice.

(Must try to get Quida.) I had ventured back to the cave with the news of a new Ahzenai.I had a mamosa tree flower and a rose with me.The flower of the mamosa had a sort of peach-like scent.I walk up to Quida and offer the 2 flowers.I had brung 2 because the 2 scents complimented each other in my eyes.I hold my fingers behind my back in a cross for luck.

The vortex grew once more and swirled gently in shades of dull gold, pink, purple, and brown. After what seemed like an eternity, an Ahzenai stepped out. She shook out her mane and opened her eyes for the first time.

“Quida.” Valcyon called quietly.

Quida looked at Valcyon on his rock, blinked once, then wordlessly turned away. She brushed past several people as she made her way to the cave entrance, and those she passed noted that the Ahzenai carried a slight scent of cinnamon and apples with a hint of cloves. At the entrance, the Ahzenai closed her eyes and sniffed the air. It smelled fresh and clean, unlike the slightly stagnant air in the cave, and the slight breeze carried a myriad of different scents. She longed to venture outside and find the sources of these aromas.

Some movement in the corner of Quida’s eye caught her attention. Some of the humans were coming closer. She sighed. Quida had never seen the absolute necessity for a human companion. However, seeing as she had nothing to lose, she decided to at least hear what they had to say. And perhaps...

“All of you.” Quida spoke addressing everyone in the cave. She paused for a moment to reflect on what she would say. “If you would like me as a companion...bring me something from this world that smells beautiful.” She sat before the cave entrance with her back to the light, waiting for people to approach.

I listened to Quida's request from my perch on the side of Azhenai bridge and then looked over at Adethea, my companion and smiled at her. She nodded at me and I knew she had passed a good opinion of this new Azhenai. So grinning I looked back at the new Azh, now sitting queen-like by the entrance and without a second thought pushed off the side of the bridge.

I was falling through thee air but then a draft of wind caught me and I rode it like a surf-board, as it carried me safely to the river bank. I whooped as I landed and looked behind me to see Adethea padding quickly down the bridge to join me. I distinctly heard her mutter 'show off' as we walked to Quida but I just grinned and rested my hand on her shoulder.
"You know Adethea. If you learn something then it goes to waste if you don't use it!" I teased her and she chuckled throatily. Riding the wind was a trick I had learnt on one of my travels with Adethea, when she had been injured and we had come to rest in a small land. A 'minstrel' at they had called them taught me whilst Adethea was resting and I always took the chance to do it if I could.
"Well maybe she could accept that as something from the outside world." Adeteha murmured. "A chance to learn new tricks!" She snorted and I was about to laugh and tell her she wanted a smell not a trick, but then we were in earshot of Quida so we both fell silent.

As we waited for another suitor to step forwards I noted what they bought her and then thought about what I had in my own bag that was scented. The space around the Azh's paws was cluttered with scents and aromas but that didn't worry me. The woo-er stepped back so I took my chance and darted forwards. Adethea followed and as I went on one knee, not at all embarrassed I saw her bend one leg and nod her head into what was unmistakably a bow. I pulled my pack from my back and opened it, not taking long as I pushed my hand in and found what I was looking for-I knew my pack inside out- and I clasped my hand around it and pulled it out.

I laid it on the ground in front of me and then pulled to more things from the bag, lying them next to the first object and then I smiled at Quida and nodded.

"I am especially me; or Ez."
"I am Adethea, companion to Ez." Adethea now straightened up to her haunches but I stayed on one knee and lifted the first item.

"This is a sea shard; it comes from the ocean bottom in the outside world." I said. The shard rested in my hand, glittering and flashing in the streaks of sun that poured from the other end of the tunnel. It flashed the colours of the rainbow and gold, purple, brown and silver could be seen too. The reason I had chosen this was not just because of it's looks but it's scent was gorgeous too. You could smell the sea and beach on it; smells of soft salt seemed to waft from it and the cool scent that only a breeze could bring. I rested it in the earth in front of Quida and then lifted the second object.
It was heavier than the first and just a small sack tied with some coarse hair. But when I opened it, a strong scent wafted from it and Adethea's nose twitched. I grinned but made no comment and showed the new Azh the contents. Dark powder filled the bag and a strong scent did too.
"This is drinking powder; you can put it in milk and make a drink with it. Not many lands have it." I said wanting there and then to put milk in it and drink it. The smell of chocolate and cinnamon mixed together always made my mouth water! But instead I set it down next to the shard and lifted the next object. However I did pause a moment to take a deep breath so the cinnamon and chocolate filled my senses.
"And this, this is a raspberry. A fruit." The two pink ovals were in my hand so they did not get covered in silt in case anyone wanted to eat them and I held my hand out to Quida. The smell was not great unless you were close so I tentatively put the fruit near Quida's hand, slowly, careful that I could take it away easily if she was annoyed by my closeness. However she seemed find and once I guessed she had smelt them I rested them on a small leaf I had also pulled from my bag but one which held no smell.

The shard of sea glass, the powder and the raspberries were all in a line and so I stood and smiled at Quida.
"Thank you." I said brightly and then stepped back and sat crossed-legged near the water, trailing my hands in it and chatting quietly to Adethea, our eyes flashing back to Quida now being approached by other people as we waited for her answer.

"Hmm. Something that smells nice..." I pondered the thought, picking up the shattered pieces of perfume bottle that I'd broken when I fought Kayga. "Perfume maybe? No, too man-made." I shook my head and put the pieces in my backpack, leaning against a wall. I couldn't think of anything, different. Something Quida wouldn't expect. Something... fresh and exciting.

I thought harder, then left the cave and began to walk away. Later on, I came back with a small, velvet, drawstring pouch. I approached Quida and introduced myself, giving her a slight smile. I sat down on the floor and opened the drawstring pouch. Immediately, a delightful smell began to come out. I gave her the pouch and told her what it was. "Lavender."

Then, I opened my backpack and got out a plastic tub and opened it up. "Angel delight." I smiled, resisting the urge to eat it. "The butterscotch kind." I grinned, bringing out another tub, this time with something small and white in it. I carefully opened it up and plucked out a tiny white rose petal. "A rose petal. There are many different colours, but this is a rare kind." I said, taking a full rose from my backpack. "Careful, it has thorns. It's beautiful and dangerous, just like you."

I stepped back slowly and carefully, not taking my eyes off her, letting her sniff and taste the things.
"Satisfactory?"

NOTE: This is really just for fun. I know that mice cannot actually compete for this. Once again, I am sorry it is ending up so long. I swear I don't mean to make you read so much DX. I just get these ideas and I can't seem to condense them!

The small brown rodent's ears twitched as he heard the comotion down below him. The suitors were getting restless, the portal must have been looking funny again. He scurried quickly over to the front of his cave, a thick crack in the wall. He was always there, through each passage of the cat monsters from the strange swirling wall. He was there when the humans or other such strange creatures would come and try to convince the cats to go with them. Some of the people seemed like a very good sort, people he would not mind seeing his cat friends going home with.

Wait, what? Cat friends? He didn't actually know any of them. But he was there for each one, the mouse was there to witness the beginning of their new lives. It made him feel... Like a friend of the very best kind, secretly hidden away and wishing luck to each of them. Sure, they were as likely to eat him as say hello, but he didn't care. As long as he hid in his tiny cave of a home, they would never see him, never know he was there at all. And so he could watch, wishing them the best of luck as they searched for their new lives. It was a thrill, listening to each as they spoke to try and woo the cats to go with them. Like I said, some of the humans were very nice, seemed very sweet and wonderful. But some of them? Were just plain dangerous. He knew that the cats could take them any day, but still they made him worry. Okay, so it wasn't like all of the cats were the nicest either, but he was biased. Definitely biased. Like the last one? The last to pass through the portal had been the fighting type. This cat's ordeal almost scared the mouse into a complete and total stroke. Fight after fight after fight... He was so afraid that this new cat was going to get killed. The mouse, had he been as brave as he wished he was, would have ran down that cliff and started biting everyone in sight. How dare they mess with one of the cat monsters? They had no right, no right at all!

Why couldn't they have all been nice like the other cat monster that came back to try to convince another to follow her. She had been very pretty, and very sweet. He had almost gone down to see her up close... But then cowardice took charge again, and up in the cave he stayed. It was almost heart breaking to watch each of them go. But it was also so thrilling to see each session, each attempt. And so the mouse moved back to the corner of his cave, rummaged through a pile of seeds before picking a few choice ones and returned to the entrance to watch the show begin. The big one was standing there, the one that never left. The mouse especially liked him, because he never left with one of the people, never left the mouse alone... But he also feared him greatly, because that cat was the closest to discovering his cave, the closest to discovering his existance. He had it all planned, if he were to ever get the guts to go down there and actually meet them. It would definitely be through the back entrance to his cave, so that they would never know where he hid away. They were cats, after all. And he was still a mouse. Why couldn't he be like them? A giant cat monster like them? Then he could follow them through their lives and actually be their friends. It was a dream never to be realized.

His little ears flicked forward as the newest cat stepped out of the swirling vortex. She was rather beautiful; they all were in his opinion. But she had a different kind of beauty, with her colors being very faded like a warn tapestry that only grew more beautiful with age. Except that the cat wasn't old. And she had such a thoughtful docile disposition... Someone good better come along for her. Quida. It was a lovely name. He wondered what it meant, if it meant anything at all. All of the cat monsters had strange names, though many of their suitors did as well. What happened to names like Jack or Diana? Not really anything like that here... He watched as several of the people leaned in closer and breathed in deeply as they came near her. What? What were they smelling her for? He wanted to get closer, wanted so despirately to know...

But he stayed where he was, as he always did. As a coward always should. He shouldn't even have been allowed to keep his cave, his vigiliant over them. A more deserving mouse should have had it, one that was brave and strong, that would go down there and fight the foolish ones that treated the cats badly, that were so dumb to assume that they could ever deserve such an amazing creature. Which was pretty much all but the nice ones, in his opinion. Even the nice ones were undeserving, though. But they were better than the others.

Something that smells beautiful. That had been her challenge, that had been her wish. But what could she mean? Many things smelled beautiful, so what did she want of all of those smells? He watched eagerly as a few of the people came forward with their odds and ends. Most brought flowers. Which made sense, to be honest. Flowers were amazing, with their many colors and fragrances. But really, jasmine? Vanilla? Were these people crazy? A gardinia. That would have been the best choice. But the flower was often overlooked. It was a lovely white flower that smelled so... It was like a warm smell, like freshly baked bread out on a window sill that he could not reach. And yet it was still so crisp and sweet smelling, like a freshly picked strawberry still covered with dew. The perfect flower. But would that have been his choice? A flower? Even one as amazing as a gardinia would not be deserving enough for the pretty lady. Flowers were beautiful, but they were not enough. And yet the people kept choosing them. Stop! He wanted to scream, Stop! But he could not speak their language, could not make them understand. Flowers are not enough, she is worth so much more! He had to show them, had to give his choice to the nicest one there, the one he would want most to take her with them. He hadn't even decided who that would be yet, but he coulding think about it now.

The small brown mouse dropped his seeds and ran for the back entrance to the cave, another crack that opened up to the outside world. But it was... It wasn't cold at all outside. No wonder there had been so many flower choices. How would he find what he needed? How would he help the right person win? He paused, staring over the fields of flowers and green grass, almost disgusted by the summer weather that he usually was quite fond of. And off he ran again, leaping from rock to rock in his discent. This journey would take too long, he would be gone so long... He might even return far too late. They could have all been gone home by then, Quida could have chosen the wrong person before he even got back to assess the nicest of them and help them win. But he had to try. It was an insult he couldn't just let hte humans continue to make. A flower, a stupid flower was what they encompassed her worth with?

He broke the wood line, running amung the old pines and oaks. He kept his eyes pealed for the right tree, for a Red Cedar. The mouse was beginning to tire from his long treck, his little heart beating quickly. If only he had been like them, like the big cats that he watched so often. Such a trip would not take nearly so long, nor hurt his lungs so badly. He shouldn't have come this far so fast, he wouldn't- Hey! He stopped before the strange tree, putting his front paws on the thread-like bark. His little nose twitched as he took in the smell with a sigh. This was it: Stop one. He looked up into the tree for a moment before starting to climb. Which he did rather slowly, seeing as the trip there had warn him out considerably. He stopped at each of the lower branches, climbing out and giving them a good sniff. He waited until he found the perfect branch, the one that reminded him most of the winter. You see, that was his plan. He was going to give the one he thought was best the scent of winter.

Forget flowers or perfumes or seeds. Winter was the choice. It was much like the big cat: Warn but beautiful. The colors were so bland during the winter, as most every flower would die off, and all of the autumn leaves would have fallen and been covered in layers of snow. But it was in this time, this dull colorless time that something new could be found. Smells that hid dormant all year, smells that were masked by the flowers, by the fields of barley and fresh green grass. It was a paradise unlike any other, the smells of winter. And the landscape... It may have been a cold world, but it was still like walking through a fairy tale he hoped would never end.

He chewed carefully through a small branch of the stuff, needing to keep his load light, as there was more to come. Winter was a complex range of smells. It wasn't like the simpler seasons, the sweetness of spring, warmth of summer. Even autumn lent itself to a small range of smells. But winter was much broader. The fresh clean frangrance of snow, the strong crisp smell of pines and cedars. The soft sweet smells of bark were now much more clearer because they were no longer masked by the leaves. Then there was the warmth brought out by the wetness of deer and rabbit fur, and the tart smells and tastes of the winter berries. It wasn't just one flower or a group of flowers that he wanted to show her: It was an entire season. Because she was worth that: and entire season.

He worked through his list slowly, as many of the items on it were very hard to find. Especially snow. There would be none, he knew that. But what smelled like snow? He could only think of fresh dew, but it wouldn't be easy to bring dew back... The hawthorn was easier to find, but picking out a branch with only red berries was difficult. He chewed through a small branch of it, carefully holding the red cedar sprig in one paw and then placing both into his mouth again before backing down the tree and looking around him. The next would have to be the bark, which he quickly peeled off of a maple tree and slid the peel carefully in his mouth. It was getting rather full.

Now the deer fur, on the other hand, was possibly the most dangerous thing he could have ever gone after. Those things were huge and did not like rodents pulling hairs off of their back. But this mouse would do it anyway. He hid his finds carefully in the leaves around a tree before silently clammering up to the branches near a rather fluffy buck. With a few deep breaths the mouse jumped onto his back, holding on tightly with his little paws as the creature bucked about from fright. He closed his watering eyes from the thrashing wind generated by the quick movements of the deer, Trying to do his best to pluck several hairs from his back that didn't just escape his paw as he was flung about. Eventually he was forced to release, holding onto the few hairs he had with all his strength as he fell to the ground and made a dive for the tree roots. He waited next to the tree, his brown fur making it harder to see him as he watched the buck search around for a moment and then leave with a huff. He was not happy.

And the mouse was exhausted. He dragged himself over the to hidden cache and looked over his items. One sprig from an evergreen tree: red cedar, one piece of fresh living bark: Maple, one branch of winterberry: Hawthorn, and one clump of wild animal fur: deer. What he wanted, what he needed was snow. But he was never going to find that out here. He had been lucky with the Hawthorn even, as it often wasn't ripe so early in the year. The mouse sighed, saddened that he could not offer a very important smell of winter. But there was nothing he could do. He turned back and piled the things up, carefully gripping onto them with his teeth and starting off with a quick but easy pace back for the caves. He could not run as he did before, simply too tired to become so fast again. How long had he been out? Would they all be gone now? Had he failed? Or maybe the others took a long time too; they needed to go off and search for their items as well. Hopefully it wouldn't be anymore flowers. He secretly hoped they were food items so that he could sneak down and steal some later.

This time he went in for the first time ever through the human's entrance. He looked about them, carrying his bundle in his mouth as he waded through the croud. He looked up at the giant people, feeling rather small and afraid as he dodged their stepping feet. He was trying to see their actions, the sound of their voices and the words they were saying to pick the very nicest of them all. He came upon one who was speaking quite sweetly to the man she brought with her. She was decked out in soft pastels and beautiful ringlets of gold. Her voice was like a soft chime to his ears, a lovely melody of kind words and praises. This would be the one. The small rodent gathered his courage, taking in a big breath of air before reaching out his paw and pulling as hard as he could on her long flowing gown. But what happened next changed his feelings toward her completely as the woman shouted in a vile tongue, jumping back as she kicked him with one pale pink heeled shoe. He went flying back into the croud, banging into someone's leg and started to scurry away as the man yelled and tried to stamp out the life of the 'vermin'. The small mouse ran just out of reach, trying to escape the people that chased him with their big feet. He smashed his head into the back leg of one of the cat monsters, squeeling in fear and starting to run again without waiting to see if the creature would have eaten him at all.

He raced out of the cround, his heart pounding wildly as he tried to suck in air through his gathered items, having to drop them on the ground to catch his breath. He looked up to see the monster cat, a cold ripple going down his spine as he stared up at the mighty beast. He was a gonner... The mouse fumbled about with the items that lay before him, his whole body shaking in fear as he just kept staring up at the beautiful, wonderful, powerful cat. She was amazing, more so up close than when he had viewed her from high up in the cave. He shakingly held his bundle of winter smells up for the cat to smell, holding very still for a long time. If only he could just reach up and touch her, to feel for himself that these wonderful creatures were actually real. To finally be able to reach out and touch one for the first time. After watching cat after cat come and go, he'd finally be able to touch one... Before dropping the items and making a flying run for the cave entrance. He clamoured through the flailing legs and out into the outside world again, skidding across the ground as he raced up the rocks again for that little crack in the wall.

He scurried quickly across the floor of his little cave, almost flying right out the other end. The small brown mouse looked down at them again, his little eyes darting about as he tried to see it all. What had she thought? Did she like the smell? Or was he no better than any of those that brought their flowers . He hoped he hadn't upset her. Who was he to step out into her presence like that? He hadn't exactly meant to, but it had happened. He had been close to one of the cats. She had seen him. She may have been going on after this to somewhere else, but the big one was there as well. He never left. Would he figure out that the mouse was living there? Was always watching their every move? Was secretly watching and hoping that they would just stop leaving him behind. Would he come after the mouse, try to eat him? This would be the last monster cat that he would see placed in a new life. He so much loved to watch them, but he could not risk his life to do so. He was, after all, a mouse; a natural prey for cats. Maybe not big cats, he had no idea. But he was a prey animal nonetheless. And he knew better than to wait around and get eatten by someone he had admired from a far for a very long time.

NOTE: I think it is done now... I am having an urge to edit the end, to add more in about comparing her to winter, and how he wishes he was the same as them so that he could speak to them, follow the other Ahzenai about. XD, poor mousey is so fun to write for.

Quida

Lokeash ran a single claw down the side of the rock face, the grating screech helped him clear his mind just a tiny bit more from the haze that had settled upon him since his last tangle with The Twins. He shook his head, slowly, as if the motion may help his thoughts reorganize into coherent sentences. With a heavy sigh he laid his head on his paws looking down on the whole of Ahzen, which stretched out before him.

The cave looked strangely mottled through his eyes, like a thin film had grown to cover them wile he slept shaking his head once more, he opened his eyes to see the Vortex, It had grown once more and was lazily changing colors, an odd feeling began tugging at his heart. With a slight laugh he realized the colors reminded him of his old home in the desert. He waited for a few seconds, intently watching its lazy movement, but to his disappointment no Ahz came forth from its depths. He let himself drift off to sleep, he knew it was not the best of his ideas but he was so tired, slowly he let the darkness catch him in its claws, and he faded off into a deep sleep.

An unusual scent tickled at his nose, and with a loud sneeze Lokeash awoke to find Ahzen in turmoil. Humans and Ahzenai Alike filled the cave, running about in a fuss each carrying something, some had flowers, others had perfumes and incense, he even though he caught the barest hint of bacon wafting up to him. He groaned shakily getting to his paws,
may as well see what all the fuss was about.
Was the though that ran through his head as he jumped down the rocks to the main floor.

He paused for a second, rolling his aching shoulders, he looked around for the nearest person to question.
Lokeash!
the voice was calm and clear, the turned to see Kiyo and Amaranth approaching him, the latter held a large bouquet of flowers firmly in his mouth.
"Kiyo, Anmaranth," he nodded his head at each, Tell me, what is all of the fuss about?"
" Ur guh um Ah ven ur"
Amaranth replied forgetting for a moment the flowers in his mouth. Both Kiyo and Lokeash looked at him quizzically, the young ahzenai blushed under their stares.
" I believe what he meant to say was, There is a new Ahzenai."
Oh?
"Yes she came forth from the Vortex just recently, at most about an hour ago"
"Interesting, she i believe you said it was a she, must have appeared shortly after i fell asleep."
You fell asleep? even after your fall?
Yes.
That was not very smart
I know
"Do you? You could have.."
I know!
Lokeash was moderately annoyed by Kiyo's worry, but only because he was old enough to know the outcomes of falling asleep after a concussion.
Any way, why is Amaranth caring flowers?
he asked in attempt to break the awkward silence that had befallen the group.
Amaranth replied to him this time, gingerly he set the bouquet of flowers down on the ground
"Its because of the new Ahzenai, she is easily the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life, he said dreamily."
Lokeash chuckled,
Is that so?
He got a nodded reply from the young ahzenai
Well, If that is true I will leave you on your way then. Shrugging He picked up his flowers and trotted on, flicking his tail for Kiyo to follow. Kiyo rolled her eyes and obliged him. both leaving lokeash there alone.

He watched them leave, following them with his eyes. They made there way to a single Ahzenai. Lokeash could not help it, his jaw dropped at the sight of her golden pelt, the color of the desert sand. Entranced he became to stiffly move towards her, but stopped half way there. Everyone was bringing her grand gifts of flowers, and incense, He paused to think it over, each of these things were scented beautifully.
humm..
he wondered aloud, He gasped as the realization hit him. He bounded off in the direction of his trove of treasures, a smile forming on his lips. He had just the thing.

It did not take him long, and he soon was bounding back towards her feeling like a kitten boasting it's first catch. The lump was shapeless in his mouth, covered in an old faded pouch of graying camel leather.

As he approached the crowd of people gathered around the female, he heard someone call out
"Quida! Choose me I beg you!"
He could not help it a chuckle, humans were so.. odd. With a sharp growl the crowd parted like old times, and he effortlessly made his way to the stunning female ahzenai.

Gingerly he laid the package down before her feet, and looked up at her, taking care to meet her two sun touched golden eyes, she was even more stunning up close, and he almost choked up as he started to speak,
Hello Quida, I am Lokeash, I am from a time much different than this one, and over those years I have come to see many Ahzenai, but I must say none were as breath taking as you are."
A loud mewling came from behind Lokeash, His once small kitten Has padded his way up to Him and Quida, expectantly waiting for Lokeash to give him as an offering. Lokeash Chuckled gathering the growing kitten in his paws and pulling him towards him,
"Not this time little one, in fact never again"
With the kitten safely tucked away under his chest, he began addressing Quida again.
"My dear your body has been kissed by the sun itself, much like the beauty of the desert I once called my home, and it is an ancient custom of my home to bare gifts to a beauty such as you."
He reached out and grasped the leather pouch in his paws, gingerly pulling back the faded covers to revile a delicate vial.
"This is pure turquoise, very valuable now a days."
His eyes shown with a deep unknown emotion
" But it is what is inside is more valuable."
He reached down and carefully took the gold gilded stopper in his jaws, with a swift tug, and a loud pop, the ancient vial let loose a glorious scent.
"this is scented oil, back in ancient time queens anointed their bodies with the alluring concoction, but this is a much more valuable kind than those, this has no set scent, the mixture smells different to each person, It is an exotic and lost recipe. but i have no use for it."
He took a long sniff, to him is smelled like warm vanilla and honey with the barest hints of Cinnamon.
Even if you do not want to come with me, i plead you to keep this, even if it is just a memento, I believe you will get much more usage out of it than I ever would.
He slid the vial over in front of her, it looked much out of place amid the piles of flowers, and other sweet smelling trinkets.
He nodded to her and bent over, picking the kitten up in his jaws, he moved away, hoping that she may take his words to heart...

~ note: even though the kitten is used in the story, he is no longer in my inventory, i did not have the heart to take him away from Lokeash, and he will now become his pet, and some what companion.
