I walked through the lush forest with differt hues of green to my school. I step on a branch as I hear the wind go though the giant oaks and pines awile a squirrel scurries about collecting forage for the upcoming winter. I hear cries from some deer and spin around seeing a herd of white tailed deer run away from me. Suddenly a small deer cries in pain and falls as her herd just ran away. I rush to the doe seeing blood and... A hunters trap "stupid hunters" I mutter trying to free the poor deer. Soon the trap opened and the deer got up, "All better I hope" I say petting it then to glance at my watch "darn..." I say 'I'm going to be late on the first day!' I thought "bye deer" I said then make my way to school only to see she followed me "shoo" I said waving my blood covers hands around. The doe turned and ran into the forest

A story for the beautiful deer for adoption...

And also, are we allowed to control the deer or are we just allowed to talk to them?

i walked through the forest and saw a bird flit through the trees. I glanced at a nearby stream and saw a fish splash in the water ahead. I decided to fish there. I walked up and put my cane fishin pole in the water, I set there. Waiting for the fish to bite and whistled to the birds. They stopped and listened. Then they started again, copying and remaking my tune, filling the woods with sweet melodies. I felt a tug on the line but knew there wasn't a fish that could get my worm off that easily so I waited. I felt it tug again, and again, a little harder each time. Finally I felt it pull harder and snapped my arm back quickly. I had caught the fish. I pulled it close to the bank and waded in to get it. I walked on the slippery rocks carefully and placed my feet in particularly dry and nonmossy places. I finally reached the end of my line and grabbed the fish, placing my thumb in its mouth and starting back. I looked at the fish carefully and took a step. Mistake. I fell flat on my back and got dunked. I laughed out loud as the fish swam away. I heard a rustling in the bushes and looked, there appeared a beautiful doe. The most beautiful deer I had ever seen. I looked at her and knew I wanted to be her companion,"Hello,"I said softly,"I'm Arrow and that,"I pointed ata silver flash in the water and smiled,"WAs my fish."I said laughiong once again. I stared into her dark eyes and wondered if she would accept me,"I'm not going to tell you how much fun we could have together or push you into anything. i would like to be you friend though."I said smiling sweetly and blinking my deep green eyes. I stared at her for a moment longer and turned away, I retrieved my pole and turned around one kore time. I looked at her,"Take your time. I'll be here all the time."I smiled, knowing it was true. I loved this river more than anything else in the world. I always thought it was the most beautiful thing but I had just learned otherwise.

The Star Deer

I walked around my school, Hatch, and saw the church on the other side. The church has lovly stained glass windows, and a large bell tower that was home to many birds. I crossed Rigiland, the street that divided the two buildings, and walked up the sidewalk to stare, at a deer! Laying in the hibiscusus. When they saw me, her eyes got wide, and it shufled a bit away. I was amazed. The church was on the other side of Oak Park than the Forest Presurve, how on earth did they come all the way here? I backed up. i knew enough to stay away from an animal without a home.
The deer stood, shook and trotted to me. When they came over, they sniffed at my pockets, and hands, but it didnt bite. She snorted at me, and in my mind, i saw what she wanted, a carrot. I was coming home from school, and i had carrots left over from my lunch. i knelt down, unzipped my lunch bag and reached inside a little plastic container. i took out a baby carrot and offered it to the deer. They contemplated it, the getly took it and gobbled it down i fed the rest of the carrots to the deer, and when i was out they nuzzled me, and i heard the word, thank you, human then they vanished. I dont mean, ran off, i mean, vanished. They turned into mist and blew away.
That night i looked up at the stars and saw the deer, standing next to the Moon, a cresant moon. I saw a comet flash its way across the sky. The deer tossed its head to me, as to say thank you and ran accross the velvety night sky, leaving a trail of stars in its wake. Was i dreaming? I dont think I'll ever know.

I thought that I would give this a shot XD))

Prowl sat at the edge of a small yet calming lake..She watched some fish swim peacefully by.Prowl stroked Deadly knight.He wanted a friend as much as she did.She got up,and plucked a small ripe apple from a tree near by,and she handed it to her buck.She then looked across the lake and she saw a doe.She was beautiful.The way the sun glimmered off the water,and glimmered onto her body.Prowl smiled.But something was wrong..her..tail was..missing.Prowl's smile dropped.A sad shock ran through her body in a wave.Prowl then began to wonder what happened to her..Prowl sighed.People may judge her appearance,but Prowl would never.."Hello.."Prowl began."I am Prowl.And..I was wondering what happened to your tail,not that theirs anything wrong with it."Prowl said with a smile."I like your colors..and I don't mind your missing tail."Prowl said.

Deadly knight smiled at the doe.He stood by Prowls side watching easily.His eyes read:"Hello.I am Deadly Knight.Please,don't feel threatened by my red glowy gaze.I am in no need to hurt you.I kinda think you would make a perfect doe for Prowl..But that's your choice."

Prowl stroked Deadly Knight and went on with her story."I have traveled here and their.You see,the only deer I own is Deadly Knight and another doe.But I am sure you all will get along together.And I promise no one would hurt such a beautiful creature like you.."Prowl smiled.She wanted to get the point out,but she took it easy on the poor doe."I was wondering if you would like to follow me,Deadly Knight,and our other doe on our travels.I would understand if you went with someone else,but I would also be sad if you did.That's your choice though..not mine.I don't wanna pressure you,so please feel free to come to me or Deadly Knight if you want to join us."Prowl smiled.She sat back down.

I was with Mona, or more exactly she was with me. We had taken to spending more and more time together, I could say I was taking advantage of her but then again who wouldn't spend every moment with a talking deer. Anyway, it turns out she was right, the forest was dying or was about to; it was one of her many talents. The ability to feel the trees and forest around her, a bit creepy but very useful. It so happened that not but two days after that fateful day on Halloween as Marielle, Chris and I were walking through the forest and stumbled across a pink doe. A forest fire had devoured the southern half of Rist Forest, lucky for us were on the northern half; the ones that weren't lucky: the deer herd that had lived down there. Mona told me about them before, with what I assumed was blush for a deer in her face; I only understood until she told me that her father resided in that herd. Apparently her mother the original gift to the forest had lived for fifteen years after her transformation, with a surprising affinity for being a doe. Mona Lisa didn't know exactly how many siblings she had but she was almost positive that there were a few in the Southern and Eastern herds. The fire though had killed away the Southern wood and now the deer herd had migrated upward, separated by which members the other herds would take. I knew all this from what Mona had said, she had also been told that the homes that bordered the now charred wood had decided against re-planting but had chose instead to plow away the ancient corpse for new homes. My doe had said this quietly and reluctantly, as if it might set me off. Which of course it did.

I hated the fact that new homes were being built to replace others that could easily be repaired and save the trees and forests in the process. That had been not but a week ago, and in that time I had seen a few odd sights run across my field of vision, survivors of the flames. Once it was a pale green buck, rubbing the velvet off of his ornate his antlers in preparation for the annual autumn rut. He had lingered for only long enough to notice that I was watching him, before he was gone again bounding away into the still fertile woods. When I questioned Mona about this she said that she was not the only oddity of the forest, and he may not have even been one of her siblings with colors like that.

I returned to reality when a lark called from above my head, I looked up through the trees squinting my eyes against the harsh glow of a setting sun; sighing half-heartedly when I could not find the little ginger bird in boughs above. A soft pressure against my palm reminded me of my company, and I lifted my arm to peer under it at Mona; as would a jockey in a horse race. "It's getting dark" She whispered quietly to me, her tone holding something of a whimper."Don't worry I grew up in these woods, same as you. You've got nothing to fear" I said gently rubbing the patch of fur between her ears, where if she were a buck would have sported a large rack of antlers. She made a non-comital noise in the back of her throat as she followed along in my wake, her head lowered slightly and bobbing along at the height of my shoulder. Being a prey animal, she was rather frightened of the dark; and well most things that could hide something with claws. I was slowly trying to coax her out of this, telling her she had nothing to fear from these woods since the most recent sighing of a big predator such as a cougar had been twenty miles from here closer to the North Carolina border. She still didn't want to believe me about that.

So we walked in silence for a couple more minutes until we heard something most unnatural that had not come from either of our lips (or muzzle in her case). It was a high pitched squeal that set Mona's eyes into a strange motion, it was as if a flower was closing at high speed like they showed on those nature shows. I gently stroked her long silky deep pink neck in a comforting way "Mona what's wrong?"

The skies had been screaming of rain for weeks now, the large dark clouds rolling over themselves in the swiftly blowing wind. Though it was still day, everything was dark and cold. Lightning struck through the sky several times, one after another lighting up everything for just those breaf seconds. No life could be seen out on the fields, and there was no sound of animals running about in the woods. A wolf howled from a direction unknown with a cold broken song. Alone. The old and dying creature cried out for any that would hear him. Alone. His howl was interupted by pounding of thunder as the lighting flashed again. And yet still no rain. The creatures had all hidden away from the dead day, just praying that the rain would finally come and clear the skies again. There was a sturring in the woods as the small hooves clicked against the roots of the trees, shuffling lightly through the leaves on the ground. The sound could not be heard, though, as the winds sang through the trees after the deer. The thunder sounded above the woods, lighting striking the trees as the deer passed and setting blaze to the branches. The large creature exploded from the woods, leaping with back legs kicking out behind her.

And then the rain came down like walls of water, like the Niagra Falls had opened up in the heavens. the lightning flashed, almost touching the deer's back hooves as she bucked again, thunder crashing like the drums of an African tribe, setting music to the deer's dance. The rain fell on the deer and shimered as it struck the faded fur or on the ground beneath her cloven hooves as if they were liquid diamonds. The drops hit the grass like the chime of bells, and the wind flew through the braches causing a light whistling sound. Like the conductor of some great orchestra, the doe called on for the thunder, the lighting flashing at her hooves again. She lept over the wolf causing him to fright for a moment before joining in her song. He lifted his head and howled to the skies, and she stopped to watch as his soul left his body and became much stronger again for leaving the old broken corpse behind. And now he ran along beside her as the deer called for him to howl again, running back for the woods.

The clouds began to give way to the sun, the rain slowing down to just a drizzle. All lightning ceases and the howls ended as the two disappeared beyond the trees. The animals slowly came out of their hiding places to bask in the quickly growing light. They shouted in glory and praise to the sun, running about on the hills. But on one hill they would not go, where the wolf's dead body remained behind.

No, I have no idea why I turned the deer into something of a grim reaper...

Just a warning guys, this thread will slow down a bit as I'm going to focus more on my other adoption thread.
I might take in another artist here to help me out getting a deer up for adoption once in a while, but I can't promise this will stay active all the time. (:
