Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?:
So striking, so natural, yet so unique. Soso caught my eye the minute I saw her. Big cats happen to be one of my favorite animals and I have been looking for a natural creature with wings. I didn't want anything sparkly and unrealistic, Soso, however, is truly breathtaking. She reminds me of the jungle, but of travel and freedom at the same time. Amur leopards are one of the most beautiful and mystifying breeds of leopard. I can't help but try for her, she is so absolutely wonderful. <3 I would definitely get art of her as I do with most of my characters. She would probably be included in background stories of my other characters. I would also draw her myself. ^^ She would be cherished. <3

Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?: I want her because I think she is very beautiful. Her markings are incredible, and she looks so elegant. My favorite flower is roses and my favourire animal is a wolf, so she Is perfect for me! I would make her one of my Charries

Personality: Rose enjoys to be around people. She likes to watch out for people and make sure they're safe. She's got a kind heart, and is very intelligent. Whether its flying around the sky to watch over the city, or taking a cat from a tree, shes always happy to help. She's more of an educational girl. She'd rather read on a rainy day than watch TV and eat cookies.

Likes: Flowers (especially roses), people, helping others, fish (animals), turkey sandwiches, sunny days, butterflies

History/Background: Rose was born in a field of wild roses. As she grew up to the age of 3, a rose seed fell on her fur and grew into her skin, causing a rose vine to grow around her. Her mother insisted she cut it off, but Rose would refuse. Finally her mother gave up and let it stay. As she got old enough, her mother would start taking Rose on her trips to the city. Her mother taught her to be kind to others. Therefore, she grew up to be just as her mother: kind hearted.

History/Background:Zial was a little cub when the west pride crossed the river. As they approached the lionesses got up and herded the cubs. The leader of Zial's the pride walked over to the other west pride's attackers. Zial's pride leader saw how out numbered he was and fled, Zial watched his father until he had completely dissapeared. The lionesses made their way towards the attackers. The dominate male and his sons stood their ground to the females attacks. When the females gave in, Zial's pride was now apart of the west pride. The dominate male started to chase out all the male cubs, when he came to Zial, Zial's mother said "please don't drive him out" she begged. The new leader snorted and told Zial "Get out of my prides territory," He hissed "Never come back, and don't let me catch you here...ever" Zial's mother watched sadly as her son was driven off, not knowing anything.

They were the smallest of all tiger subspecies, with a weight of 90–100 kg in males and 65–80 kg in females.[23] These tigers were hunted to extinction—the last Balinese tiger is thought to have been killed at Sumbar Kima, West Bali on 27 September 1937; this was an adult female.
In Balinese culture, the tiger had a special place in folk tales and traditional arts, like in the Kamasan paintings of Klungkung kingdom. However, they were perceived as a destructive force and culling efforts were encouraged all the way to the time of extinction.

Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?:
Ah, this question again. I want Amare because I connect with her, as I do with all of the characters I go for. She inspires a new story, a new idea, and an entirely new dimension in my creativity. This is the first time that I will be including reality in my stories here; usually, they're mostly made-up. But I feel that Amare deserves something new and different... something completely out of the ordinary for me.
I will treat her as I do all of my characters- with love and dignity, and art/writing to go along with it. I will create a world for her... and I'm going to make it as real as I can this time. I want to do right by her, and this, I feel, is precisely what she deserves. I plan to use her in my NaNoWriMo as the main character. As such, I'm planning to write her personality as thoroughly as possible, then waiting until November to start on her actual story.

Personality:
Honest. Amare simply cannot lie. She is very honest and trustworthy, as well as brutal - she will not pad the truth for innocent ears. This trait was inherited through her father, who was the one to tell her that she was one of the last of her kind... that the Bali tigers were dying out, and she would have to work hard and be more than any other tiger had ever been to survive, find a mate, and birth what may very well be the last of the species. Amare refuses to blind herself to the idea that she will, one day, find another of her kind, because that may very well not be the case for her.
Secretive. Amare knows that, if she stays in the open for too long, she will be hunted by the two-legged demons that walk among the shadows. Therefore, she holds to where her tracks aren't left behind - such as rocks and hard, firm ground - and keeps to herself as best she can. She rarely lets others know where she is, just in case she is betrayed. In a world where she is the last of her kind, she is the only one that she can rely on.
Reserved. As opposed to the rest of the creatures that live around her, Amare keeps her opinions to herself. She rarely makes a sound, afraid that even the quietest growl will rouse the demonic hunters that seek her out. She doesn't leave a trail behind her, and cleans up her kills as best as she can before leaving the area. She's very passive when it comes to speaking or making herself known, but dominant in almost every other way. It is through her reservation and secretive nature that she has survived to adulthood, and she does not take this luck for granted.
Aware. Every sound, every shadow, and every truth is not lost on Amare. She is aware of everyone and everything around her, as well as the reality that lays at the end of her life. This strong awareness stands beside her honesty, making her a survivor... but she cannot predict for how long. The weapons of the demons are getting harder and harder to sense, the long spears giving way to the even longer range of the bullet, and the demons are learning that they can stand farther and farther away from their quarry to shoot. Amare knows that, if she isn't careful, the last thing she may ever hear would be the loud, echoing bang of a gun firing.
Life-loving. Though the demons believe her and her kind to be agents of destruction, Amare is a life-loving creature that honestly cares about the lives of others. When she kills, she quietly thanks her prey for giving her the strength she needs to take on the next day. Amare loves to watch births and mothers caring for their young, though it pains her because she knows that she may never feel that joy of taking care of a cub of her own. She's fully aware that a family would make her more of a target, and it is for the best that she avoid the situation for as long as possible - much to her heart's discontent.

Amare walks through the jungle, a hunted shadow that has never done any wrong, but is demonized and hated by a group of humans - believed to be demons themselves by the jungle's inhabitants - that seek to use her body in rituals and try to make themselves feel safe in one of the most inhospitable places in the planet - a fruitless effort.

Likes:
Silence. Though Amare knows that loud noises will disguise most sounds that she may make, she also knows that the demons would expect her in the general cacophony. She doesn't actively seek out silence, though; she feels that sticking to one condition or the other would allow her to become too predictable. However, given a choice where both choices are safe, Amare would choose the quiet path.
Health. Amare doesn't want her life to be shortened any more than it may already be; therefore, she tries to avoid the disease-ridden areas of the island that she lives on, and won't eat from animals that have dropped from illness. She doesn't know that her bloodline has survived so long because of how hardy the family genetics has made her immune system - she can survive most of the indigenous diseases, though she is vulnerable to the introduced ones from the White Demons that have been appearing on the island.
Truth. True to her personality, Amare loves the truth. Lies told by others do not go unnoticed by her, and they are most certainly not appreciated. In her world, lies can lead to death... and that is most certainly not a welcome aspect. Honesty, no matter how brutal, no matter how unsatisfactory, and no matter how hopeless, is infinitely better than the smallest white lie.
Intelligence. Amare doesn't have the patience for stupidity or ignorance. Lack of knowledge, to her, is a lack of awareness - and death. Intelligence brings survival, and makes her a formidable prey against the demons, because she knows how to avoid them, or lead them into traps left by other creatures. Conversely, she knows where and how to avoid traps left to catch her. However, she has not quite figured out the technology that the demons use... something that may become dangerous as time goes on.

Amare's likes are based on survival. If it keeps her alive, she will appreciate it. However, if something that she likes turn out to be dangerous for her, she will abandon it without complaint. However, despite her desire to survive, she is also very much alive, and does her best to appreciate what life can offer to her. She wants, for than anything, to not just be alive, but to live.

Dislikes:
Sudden loud noises. Amare has come to fear the firing of the guns that have taken down her species' numbers so ruthlessly. She has made it a habit to fall to her belly and crawl to safety whenever she hears a shot, no matter how distant. This is purely a product of survival bred with paranoia, though it certainly seems to work well for her.
Droughts and Mud. Though water is one of Amare's favorite ways to escape her pursuers, too much of it creates mud, which makes her tracks obvious. During droughts, though, it is next to impossible to get rid of the dogs the demons use to track her down. However, in either case, dust or mud and water - whichever is applicable - gets stuck in her fur and irritates her skin, forcing her to spend hours grooming and re-grooming areas that are most vulnerable, such as her paws and belly.
Strong-scented plants. Plants that have a particularly strong smell, such as most that live in Amare's range, bother her greatly. They tend to possess thorns that scratch and puncture her skin, or attract insects that bite at her. Both of these end up being rather intolerable as the wound(s) heal(s). There is also a certain plant that has such a pungent odor that it burns her nose if she finds herself too close.
Truth. While she seeks it out relentlessly, it is not a kind truth that her death may very well be the last of the Bali Tiger species. It is hard on her to see the mothers and their progeny, whereas she may never have any of her own. There are some truths that she wishes were lies, but she would rather not be blind to the fate that lies before her.

Though Amare's list of dislikes touches on survival, she allows some part of her own, underlying personality in as well. She has become, to an extent, an organic creature made into a machine that survives, but rarely, if ever, lives. This, and searching, has taken over much of the time that she has already spent alive, leaving the remainder for her to find herself, and what it means to truly live.

History/Background:

As I wish to use her in my NaNoWriMo, I will not be writing too much into this part of the form. This, I plan to write in November, when I have to write the novel itself.
