What date did you register as a CS member?:
20th July

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
8281

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?:

7 days a week

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?:
On weekdays I visit 4-7 hours and on weekends I visit 10-12 hours. On holidays I'm on for most of the day.

Have you moderated on any other forums before?:

No, but I mini-mod a few threads on CS.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?:
Yes, I used it before I had a tablet and plan on using it more often now I've got my tablet. I prefer it to some of the art programs I've got.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?:
Definately. I usually browse the oekaki forums everyday for any pictures I might like as well as keeping an eye out for possible art theft.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Ever since I registered on the site I've always wanted to help out the CS community in some way. I find that some artworks on oekaki are not immediately put into their requested catergory as the oekaki mods are really busy since there are only 2 of them. I love helping people out and complimenting the artwork and seeing the artist happy just puts a smile on my face. I love browsing through artwork and being able to see the COPPA'd people's art before they are posted would be lovely.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?):

I do have some experiance of peer mediation from talking in class about it. I'm mostly a kind, patient person who likes to clam things down instead of charging head first into it. When I was new to the site I used oekaki and I was quite confused by it so I can put myself into the newbies shoes and help them out.

APPLICATON

1. What date did you register as a CS member?:
Thursday, May 14, 2009.

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 7208

3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Pretty much every day!!
At least 5 days a week, if not 6 or 7, unless somethinf in real-life comes up.

4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
This is really a hard one. I usually get on throughout the day for short periods of time, from 15 minutes to 30 or so, instead of long lengths of time at once. Total probably 2.5-3? But I don't really know!

5. Have you moderated on any other forums before? Nope ^^; I'd love to help out here, though!

6. Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? YES. 8D I love it.

7. Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yup!! I do, and I love it. Apart from Animal Chatter, it's one of my favorite boards. I also love looking through galleries. Especially if there are puppy pictures!!! :D

8. Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Bcquse I love CS, I love art, and I love helping people out. I think it'd be really fun to help out, especially since it has to do with art. I've seen a lot of stuff on the oekaki board that I'd like to help resolve, whether having to do with art theft, arguments, and misunderstandings. I will admit that I hate fights, and would rather there be none, but will do whatever I can to help come to a fair solution without any flaming, cussing, rudeness or taking sides. I won't jump to harsh conclusions and thoufg I may not be the best person applying (loads of awesome forms 8D) I'd love to help out and I would try my best!!!

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
Not really ^^; I love helping out though. I like solving things fairly and I'm understanding, I try to be fair and look at all sides of a situation and will try to work out the best solution. I'm not quick to judge, and will make sure rules are followed but not in a harsh way, more like a quiet, helpful reminder. I'm willing to answer questions and I'd love to help! Thanks for reading ^^;

APPLICATON

I was going to my account sit on CS, but this is enough to draw me back. It's always a job I've admired, and hoped would be open.
What date did you register as a CS member? Dec 15, 2009
How many posts have you made in the forum : 1138
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Everyday (besides the week vacation I had last week.)
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? At least two.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? F.Y. A. Adoptionsunder the username "Princess Peach"
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes, but I'm not that talented of an artist. I have a couple pages of art in my gallery, but I'm a little embarrassed showing it.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yes, I do, and I always try to post encouraging and constructive comments. I think it's amazing the talent people on CS. I always visit the Oekaki boards when I log on. Even though I'm not the best artist, I like admiring artwork.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? It's always a job I've admired. When I browse through Oekaki forums I look through drawings and comments, occasionally reported topics in the wrong category or hurtful comments users have reported. I see a lot of topics labeled "Mods move to ______" and sometimes I direct members to PM an oekaki mod. Overall, the job appeals to me because I love art, and I feel I can contribute a lot to the job, as I can't contribute much elsewhere as I don't collect pets and don't know their values well. This job has such a defined purpose it really appeals to me, and I would absolutely embrace that. Also, it would be great to help contribute to the site, as I have grown to respect Tess, Nick, and all the other staff members for their work on this site.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position? I have a couple of leader awards, break up fights between siblings (which I've had to endure a lot of rage from.) I've learned to control my temper over the years, as over reacting gets you nowhere. Although I have a good eye for where art belongs (intermediate or beginners, etc.) I have respect for all art members draw, and when someone posts "sorry, this shouldn't be in ______" I always feel a need to jump in and explain things further.
Love breaks the machine
Everything's half apart, what can it mean
How can I trust my fractious heart
Knowing I have the enemy gene

~ What date did you register as a CS member?: Wednesday, August 05, 2009 12:52 pm.

~ How many posts have you made in the forum?: 5,164.

~ How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Every day.

~ How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Usually, I spend 8-10+ hours on CS, and on weekends, I can spend more than that. Once school starts, I'll only be able to get on in the afternoons, from around 3pm to 10pm, and probably during some of the night [11pm or 12pm Eastern time].

~ Have you moderated on any other forums before?: No, unfortunately I have not.

~ Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes, I have. Some of my earlier pieces are not very good, but now I have been improving [and posting in the Intermediate Oekaki].

~ Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yes, all of the time! I am always eager to check out new drawings, in all of the oekakis [both beginners and intermediate].

~ Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I want to be an oekaki moderator, because I really do love helping people, and fixing problems. I enjoy viewing art, and also drawing my own pieces. I used to do much more 'traditional' pencil-on-paper drawings, but now I'm merging into a more digital phase, and in turn; I have been more interested in critiquing and helping others with their own artistic gifts [not just drawing, but also writing and performing]. I would really be honored to have the oekaki moderator position, and I truly love helping people and sorting out disputes. (:

~ Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?: I do not believe I am technically 'better' than anyone else applying for this position, but I do believe I would be suitable for the job. I always try to be calm and keep a level-head, because I don't think a child-friendly website is any place for harsh words. In real life, I do have experience with peer mediation, especially at school. There can be many problems, but I believe that every problem can be fixed. I believe that I could be an asset to the Oekaki boards, and that I could fully enforce the Chickensmoothie site and art/oekaki rules.

    Thank you for the opportunity!

What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply) November 23, 2010
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply) 811
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 8! ;)
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? 2-3
Have you moderated on any other forums before? (If so, please link to them.) Not officially, like as staff, but yes, I have. I moderate without being asked, like reprimanding the people if they do anything wrong. I am also going to moderate on 2 forums ( viewtopic.php?f=28&t=649673&hilit=Rangers viewtopic.php?f=28&t=661781&hilit=hogwarts&start=1830 )
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes, many times.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the Oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Hours, and I usually comment if one catches my eye.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? Well! I shall make a list.
1. I want to help so I can get COPPA art approved faster. I know how infuriating it can be to wait.
2. I want to be able to move drawings that are not up-to-scratch from Intermediate.
3. I am observant, and I also know how annoying it can get if your topic is not moved.
4. I know quite well what posts are off topic, and when I search through the older art I can find off-topic things that the mods miss, and remove them.
5. I have a keen eye for bullying, and at my school it is very frowned upon, and I always report bully's or confront them calmly myself.
6. I also do mock-trial at my school, so I can settle disputes calmly and without taking sides based on the person.
7. I do have a Deviant Art account, so i can look for art theft.
Also, I adore helping people and rat, and having a good excuse for haunting the Oekaki boards will rock!
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) Yes, I have much experience with peer mediation. I was a COPPA member until recently, so I also have the rules that govern Oekaki down pat. I have good judgement when it comes to judging Oekaki and I am usually pretty mellow tempered. I don't have any warnings, by the way ;) I babysit my little brother and his friends when they play, and have a sense of humor ;)

What date did you register as a CS member?: August 28, 2008.
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): I have made 1730 posts.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Every day usually.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? I spend atleast two hours on weekdays, but usually 6-8+ on Fridays and weekends. On weekdays I do have college work, but I find time to come on, as said, for at least 2 hours.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? I do! I moderate xx, username Phanto. I moderate the actual site as well,xx , username Mello. I've also moderated now dead role play forums, and have owned a couple.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Oh yes! I do draw more than on Oekaki, though, I tend to also use my photoshop. I don't find, though, that how many drawings you've made has anything to do with moderating skills.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? I browse. I've pm'd Oekaki Mods before about art that is misplaced or breaking any of the rules for Oekaki. I also look, of course, because the artwork is stunning! I spend quite a lot of time looking around at all of the sections. I tend to look at colored in for long periods of time aswell; checking for any character design steals.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I think it'd be an enjoyable experience! I would love to, and have always wanted to, help out CS! I do also like to take action as soon as possible, and with such a rank it would be more easy than pm'ing and waiting. I despise art theft, character theft, and so on, which gives me a strong drive. I have had experience with art theft before, and whether I'm a rank to deal with it or not, I post and report anyways. I believe I could be a strong asset to the team, but of course, it's not me who decides. I do not tolerate any sorts of theft, and even if it was someone I knew, I'd immediately tag them down for it. I am not easily offended, and, being a mod on a chatsite, being raged at doesn't phase me.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required): My mother is a therapist, so I have picked up many techniques to calming people down, comforting people, and keeping a firm but not mean hold on things.

- Thank you!
