1.What date did you register as a CS member?: Sat Feb 06, 2010
2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 2744
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: I visit every day. Though, I would like to note that I will be gone from the 13th to the 22nd of September just in case this proves a problem to the acception of my application. I visit as much as possible so that I can keep tabs on my pets, my posts, and anything else that is going on. Also, if I have art that needs to be done I get on so I have plenty of time to work on it.
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: Around 2 hours. Sometimes a little less if I've had a very busy day with volleyball games. Weekends I spend even more time since I rarely have stuff going on then.
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: Not really. I mean I have my own very website for a book that I'm writing:
link. I am of course administer there. I have also been mini-mode of a friend's forum on howrse.com (if you wish to contact that person you can find them here:
AJT. If you would like another referal I'm sure you can contact
zoning2468) I have also been both moderator and administrator in my own forum on Howrse.com. I have had several RPs and have had to take care of disputes and players that have broken rules.
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?: All the time. It's my passion. My way of getting my emotions out. Before coming to CS I hadn't even heard of digital art, but now it's my main hobby. I have learned to draw both realisticly and cartoonish. I love to draw my characters, natural scenes, and simply doodle. I use the oekaki also to get pointers from other players.
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?: Yes. I usually look at least through both Beginners and Intermediate. I like to see what's new and if I can offer tips or get tips from artists.I spend most of my time in the oekaki, either drawing, looking at pictures, offering help, or commenting on the fantastic pieces of art.
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?: Because I want to help keep my favorite forum functioning properly. I want to help with problems with the oekaki and stop art theft. I love the oekaki and use it almost every day. I would like to be part of the team that creates such a wonderful environment in the oekaki. I want to help CS any way I could, and I feel like this is the way I can help. I already spend most of my time there so I see a lot of what goes on. I would like to be given the chance to keep things ship-shape. It also brings me into contact with more of the players on CS.
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?): I have helped solve a lot of arguments between friends and teammates. I don’t let things that people say to me online bother me. I am not afraid to do what’s right on the oekaki even if someone might become my enemy. I treat both the average player and my friends equally. I am not biased. I know I've never had a true moderator job before, but I would like to be given a chance. I am a good listener when it comes to disputes and I consider both sides before making a decision. I also know when to be kind and considerate and when to not take any smack.
Thank you for the chance to applying. I understand that there are a lot of applications and probably a lot of people out there that are better suited to this job than me, but I thank you for considering my application. I wish everyone luck!
