Breeding

Info wrote:Breeding here at H10.5 is completely acceptable, just so long as you have permission from the person who owns the horse you wish to breed your horse with and you tell me and either artists of H10.5. Here are some easy steps for successfully getting a foal:

1. Find a stallion or mare at least 3 years old you wish to breed your horse with.
2. Pm owner of the horse and if they accept the offer go on to step 3. If they don't, go back to step 1.
3. Pm any of H10.5's artists with a quote from the other breeding confirming the action and wait for a reply(or you can both post on this thread). You need to find an artist that does not
own either of the horses that are breeding. The foals can not be made by an artist who owns either or both of the horses.
4. Decide who will own the foal (as the artist can choose to create twins or not)
5. Name the foal and well done, one nice foal!

Please note: Geldings can't breed!

Horse aging

Info wrote:Here at H10.5 horses age, just like normal horses.

Whats the go with foals?
A foal born before the 15th of a month can be 3 years old at the 1st of the following month. A foal born before the 20th can be 3 years on the 5th of the following month. A foal born before the 30th can be 3 years old by the 15th of the next month.-Once your horse reaches age 30 you may no longer enter it in comps.
Whats the go with adult horses?
-After age 30 you may still breed your horse till any age
-every week the 'old' (horse classified over 30)horses skills go down by half.
-You may keep your horse at H10.4 after it's 'old', although there is really no reason to. :3
-You may buy horse aging with credit. (1 credit=3 months aging) Just PM Toppyrocks or post here if you want to age your foal. :3

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Credits

Info wrote:Credits are like money at H10, with them, you can buy horses, shop items, barns etc. You start with 5 credits.

How to earn credits:

-You get 4 Credits each week free (Every Monday)
-Putting your horse up for breeding (you decide the price (so could be free or 1 credit)
-Winning weekly comps (1st=7 credits, 2nd=6 credits, 3rd=5 credits, 4th=4 credits, etc.)
- Winning other competitions (prize varies depending on what you win)
-selling horses/stables to other players for credits
-Receiving gifts from other players

What can I buy with credits?

-New stall - 3 credits
-Covering from a stallion - (if credits are charged)
-The owner of the breeding horse can pay 1 credit to get a twin of the foal
-Training - 1 credit for 4 points in one area >> see skills section
-A private barn - 15 credits >> see barn section
-Entry to Grand prix competitions - 1 credit per type of competitions
-Train your adoption horse - 2 credits (1 for befriending, 1 for nursing back to health >> see adoption section
- Items from the shop >> see 'the shop'

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Adoption

There is a barn with horses that have been lost, abandoned and abused. But thankfully some lovely person brought them here to be adopted to a player. Unlike your normal horses you can board these must be trained to be human friendly and to get over their past, and eventually become rid-able in competitions and eligible for training.

How do I train my adopted horse?

-First you must befriend it - 1 credit
-Nurse it back to health - 1 credit

Once you have befriended your horse you can personalize it. So artists will make them on Horsy1050's beautiful editable oekaki, then you tell me what you want and I add those to it, such as tack, scarves and other accessories. So it can take a while to train them, but unlike normal horses they have 40 skills already on them, so you will be rewarded for your work.

Obviously to make it fair each player can only adopt two adoption horses. More horses will be added every so often so check back regularly!
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Barns

Info wrote:Private barns are a Barn for a player to put their horses in without getting mixed up with other players horses.

Why are barns so special?

-They are just for you
-You can name them
-You can add a description
-They come with 20 Stalls (Go easy on adding horses, Toppy is only human!)
-All new stalls bought go into your barn
-You can keep adopted horses in your barn
-Automatically come with a Trophy Case for all your rosette's and trophies.

Barns cost 20 credits. This is because they are 20 Stalls (Which is basically one credit a stall)! All staff automatically get a barn.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Barn, Horse and Stable Sales

Info wrote:You can sell horses, boxes and barns. You may also auction them, so people can bid.

Obviously you can arrange this privately but you must then pm me to sort out who now owns which horse/stall/barn and to transfer credits. Please remember to pm me though also.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Other Important Information

These are some things to bear in mind when you board:

You can have your horses removed if:

-You are rude to another player
-You don't post or show a interest
-If you abuse any part of the stables
-The horses image was used without permission

Things to remember:

-I am human so bear with me. I make mistakes and I am very sorry if I do and will correct them as soon as possible.
-What I say goes. End of. If I say you were rude, you were rude. If I say that image is stolen, it was stolen.
-Have fun. This is meant to be fun for you and me.
-I am open to suggestions, although there is only so much I can add or change.
-This is very new to me, working out if everything is the right price, etc.

Images - who owns what

If you use a line art from chickensmoothie please post so on the boarding form in the "Other" section who it's from. Ex: "Lineart by User"
If you use a line art from outside of chickensmoothie, in the "Other" section of the boarding form, please link back to where you got the lineart from.
Horsy1050 (Original owner) has a line art which can be used here so feel free to use it if you are unsure.
Please make sure the image won't be too large for the space, so that it doesn't get it's head or bum chopped off. If you are stuck I can re size the image for 1 credit. (Oekaki size images fit perfectly)

Shadey is one of our artists and a great help. She runs the mini club and the fan club, and is our resident Go-To Girl! Keep reading for her honors!

Dreams-Of-Bubbles
Loza(her previous username was Lozagbubbles) was the ‘mini’ owner of h10.4. After having to give it up, she still wanted to be apart of the community. <3 Now, Bubbles is still part of our community and a great person to have around. Keep reading for her honors!

horsy1050
She is a truly amazing artist. She was the Founder of h10. <3 Keep reading for her honors!

Bluestar123
An excellent artist who is wonderful at unnatural foals (edited because blue is not stupid!)<3

*Aiedail*
This here is a good little gal with art as her passion!<3

Scamps
Scamps is just amazing at creating natural coloured horses, but does unnatural breedings too. Scamps runs the S.E.E.S! <3

Holy cow is what you'll say once seeing cheesie's work! Cheesie is also one of our Mods. <3

Honours to Horsy:
Without this wonderful artist and kind-hearted person, I'd never be typing this and you'd never be reading this; Horsy1050 was the creator of the original H10 and the old version of H10.2 before blue took over. Full honours to Horsy, thank-you so much.

Honours to Bluestar123:
She continued H10.2 on her own for a long time, and was very devoted. She is a special person who deserves a pat on the back for all her hard work! <3

Honours to Dreams-Of-Bubbles/Comet:
Comet left after creating the h10.3 topic, but Loza took it under her wing to keep this place up and running. (she reached page 99 before deciding to hand h10 on).

Honors to ~*Oddly Shaded*~:
Shadey ran h10.4 for about half a year. She expanded the Sim and continued to make it an action-packed fun and welcoming place. Shadey has tons of patience and is a trusted member of H10.4.

H10.5's Special Events

Postby Toppyrocks » Fri Aug 12, 2011 10:06 am

Welcome to H10.5's Special Events!

Look here! There's an event going on! What's it called? Why, it's the

20 Questions Competition!

For this competition, users will need to guess the identity of this horse:

How do you do that?
Well, it's set up sort of like the game 20 questions. Someone starts off by answering a simple yes or no question. For example: Is it an animal? Or, Is it bigger then a house? Or, Is it alive? Or Is it an object I see on a daily basis?

I think you get the point. For every question asked that has a 'yes' answer, a new portion will be uncovered. If 3 questions are asked in a row that are all answered 'no' I will uncover a part. So, you want to ask questions that could be answered yes, because that will not only give you a clue, but will uncover the horse quicker.

The horse could be anything! It could be a place, a famous horse, a food, an object, even a famous saying or book.

What's the prize?
Whoever guesses correctly first can either choose to:
a) keep the horse as a character (you can board the horse here and get to start with 50 skills instead of the normal 30) OR
b) accept a prize of 25 credits.

If the first place winner does not keep the horse, then the person that asked the question before them can keep the horse or get 20 credits. And so on.

The rules:
Do not ask questions twice in a row- let someone else ask first.
Do not ask another question until the question before yours was answered.
Make sure you ask questions that can be answered using 'yes' or 'no'.

______________________________________________________________________________

Make-a-Superhorse!

A new special event! In this event, the goal is to make a super-hero horse.

This is not creating your own superhero. How to participate is this: Find lines that are free to use and can be used in a competition, or use your own. Once you do that, pick a superhero. (It doesn't have to be well-known, but if no one knows who it is you have less of a chance of winning.) Once you have your lines and your superhero, now you make that superhero into a horse! Be creative, try and find a way that best shows off that superhero's characteristics. (hint: choosing the right lines might help you.)

Due date: None yet, but once one is set you will have a week to get it in.

Judging will happen via a poll. Here's the judging criteria:

Does the horse reflect the personality of the super hero?
Does the horse match the looks?
Are the characteristics shown in a creative way and or original idea, or shown just as if the superhero transformed right into a horse?
Can you see the resemblance easily?

The prizes: 30 credits for 1st, 15 for 2nd, 10 credits to be spent in the store only for 3rd. Plus everyone keeps their horse, and the superhero horses can be boarded starting with 40 skills instead of the usual 30.

Thank you, both of you!

I'm also going to work on transfering the weekly comp charts to an Excel document, I think it will be quicker to use in the future.

Any updates that were posted after Shadey updated last, I don't have. So you would need to post those again.

Rarehuskies- Thanks for joining! Cool horses. I'll add them in just a sec, but there's only one thing. Horses can't be 16.4 hands- that would be 17 hands. (the decimal system is all wacky for measuring horses, it's kinda silly in my opinion. See, one hand is 4 inches, so ever decimal would be one inch. 16.3 would be 16 hands and 3 inches, 16.4 would be 16 hands and 4 inches, but that would be 17 hands. So I'll edit that for you and put them up.

nour06- unfortuneately training isn't open right now! It opens on the 1st of September for 5 days.
