Heat
Arder loves the heat of the sun in his face and the hot coals of a hot flame at his feet. He enjoys watching the Flames dance on the wood and tends to start a fair amount of fires in the woods.

Hunting
Arder loves to hunt, from small rodents to large beasts, he loves the exhilaration of chasing a meal and will usually set free any animal he has caught to chase it again. He watches how animals react when approached, and usually will study the animal before eating it.

Sports
His favourite sport is running and archery. Arder has been practicing to use a bow and Arrow since he was a very young child. He loves to run and feel the wind on his face, he races whatever he can whether it is with a lost dear to a fast running cheetah.

TechnologyHe is very fascinated by the technologies man has come up with he has a small collection of iPods, music players, phones and computers in a small cave where he lives. He loves to play around with them in his free time and dissemble them and figure out how they work, though most of the time he ends up breaking them.

Arder has a few dislikes but not many…

Nuts
Arder hates nuts and will do anything to get rid of them; he has even burnt down a few nut trees in his day. He plans to get rid of all nuts on earth

Humans
Arder doesn’t trust a lot of humans after the tortured him with the cold and the many, many tests. He has made an exception for Aiki though. She helped him escape from the scientist even though her father is the one who caught him.



Backstory:


Aiki watched as her father pulled the captured Sirree into the testing rooms once again to ‘study him’ as her father put it she thought it was pure torture. She couldn’t listen to his scared, painful screaming she ran out of the room. She ran to the small lake near her father’s lab, she stayed there wishing her father would let the poor creature go, Sirree’s aren’t meant to be tortured like this, they need our help! She sat there for most of the day wondering how to save the creature. He father was walking her way so she waited for the news on what had happened. “You right?” he asked casually, no hint of what had happened in the lab “We’re finished for a while, the subject has passed out from the tests” he said as he sat down on the rocks and this made Aiki furious, “What… How can you be so cruel? Yes I know they need our help but this is not helping them! We should be doing better things than torturing them!” she said angrily as she turned away from the monster that had once been her father. “I know you don’t agree with my methods but this is the only way we can think off to help we can’t just find two and put them together can we?” he said sarcastically “Fine. Aiki I want you to go home and get dinner ready and don’t make a huge mess like last time” Aiki turned around and stared at him “I want to see him” she asked bluntly but she already knew what his answer was. “I’ve told you… they it’s not safe” he said finally showing some exhaustion from the work he was doing. “I need your keys then, I left mine at home” she said as she held her hand out. “You would forget your head if it wasn’t screwed on properly… just promise me not to walk home through the woods, okay?” he asked seriously. “I promise… can I have the keys now?” she said as she crossed her fingers behind her back. He reluctantly gave her the keys and kissed her on the forehead before returning to Sirree. “YES!” she said as he went inside the lab “He really has to learn not to give me the keys, especially the ones with the spares to the lab and Sirree chambers. She started to walk home through the woods planning on what was to come next.

As Aiki got home she went straight to her father’s room and returned the keys on his bed stand but not before taking the spares to the Lab and Sirree Chambers. “Fiyero! Come here boy!” She yelled as a small 6 week old Border Collie came bounding into her arms and smothering her face with his big slobbery kisses “We’re going to save the Sirree’s tonight and I plan on leaving this place for good, I’m nothing but a stupid scullery maid to Father, it’s always ‘Aiki clean this and that and this and that…Oh! And would you mind being a little darling and call my boss and let him know to come Tuesdays now!’ he might as well not call me his daughter anymore” she said as she hugged the puppy. “Well I better make some dinner and pack some food for us, what should we have…hmm… how about your favourite, roast lamb?” She asked as the puppy barked with agreement. “Well guess that settled, Lamb it is” She said as she busied herself packing small parcels of food and a small bag of clothes.

Later that night after her father went to sleep she opened her window and climbed out “Thank god it’s not a two story house or I would have been stuffed” She mumbled as she picked up Fiyero and landed on the cold grass with a soft thud “Now we have to be quiet” she whispered as she picked her bag up and started to tip toe past her father’s bedroom window Fiyero thankfully understood how important it was to remain quiet. When they reached the woods around the back of the street she led Fiyero to a small cave where she used to play when she was younger. “Fiyero stay here, I have some food here for you and a blanket stay here while I free the Sirree okay” she said as she pulled out a blanket that covered half of the cave floor and set out the left over vegetables from dinner on a small rock which had a small dip in it to hold the food in. “Be back soon kay” she said as she fished for the small bone in her bag “Enjoy” Fiyero grabbed the bone and went to the blanket and started to chew it. Right that was the easy part… how am I going to get past the guards? She thought as she held the two keys in her hand and set off towards the Sirree Chambers.

Surprisingly Joel wasn’t on guard duty; in fact no one was guarding the lab. Wow it must be my lucky night she thought as she went around the back towards the chambers. As she entered the Chamber she didn’t realize how many other animals were in here, in some of the chambers there were goats, cattle and small little rodents in cages no animal should be forced live in. She walked down the rows of chambers hating her father more and more and by the time she reached the second last chamber with a dog with so many bruises, she was ready to kill her father. Aiki then walked to the last chamber where the Sirree was sitting with his arms chained above his head and his feet bound together by rope. She couldn’t bear to see him in such pain she quickly rushed to open the door and ran over to him, when the Sirree heard her coming he hissed loudly at her “NO! I’m not here to hurt you, see?” She said as she unlocked his arms and cut the rope that bound his legs together he seemed to watch her wearily “I’m so sorry… my father is a monster, I’m here to get you out of here but we gotta move, the cleaners will be here soon” She said as she lifted his arm around her neck and helped him up. The Sirree was very weak and had to lean on her for support but they were both very keen to get out of the chambers.

As the got closer to the cave she heard Fiyero bark indicating where to go in the dark. As they entered the cave she helped the Sirree over to the Blanket and got him settled “Do you have a name?” She asked the Sirree but he didn’t seem to understand so she started by pointing at herself and saying “Aiki…Aye-Kee” pronouncing the sound of her name the Sirree seemed to be thinking and after minute or two he tried to say her name “Arkee?” She laughed at his try then listened as he started to point at himself and say “I Arder” she tried to repeat this Latin name but failed miserable causing them to laugh and Fiyero rolling on the ground at her feet. “Here, I’m not sure if you will like it but its food” she said as she fished through her bag of food and pulled out a container or the left over lamb meat her father didn’t eat. Arder looked at her then at the food he took the lamb and started to eat it. Aiki busied herself setting out some blankets to sleep on once Arder had finished his food she started a warm fire in the far corner of the room and noticed that his body matched the flames of the fire and his deep jet black eyes. She watched him stare at the fire and carefully stare at her curiously. “I think we should get some sleep” she said as she pulled the covers over herself and drift slowly to sleep. She was nearly asleep when she heard Arder whisper something vaguely like “Thank you” and then she knew everything would turn out right in the end.
