Pet's ID Tag: 58 <3

Name You'd Choose for It: Iris
.Flower. Colorful. Depth. Feelings.

Gender: Female

Reason You Want It:
I fell in love the second I saw her. I literally had to stop the page when I looked. I was withdrawn; surprised. It was breathtaking to me, the beauty of this design. I even let out a little gasp of explanation, because of course I couldn't explain. She's mesmerizing, and I'd love for her to be mine.

Of course looks aren't the only thing. I connect to Iris on a deeper level. I feel something passionate whenever I see this donation. Something... Like she's a part of me. I know her personality, history, everything. It's so unique what I have for this character, like a lust or a love, that I have her. I already have Zanjux making me a piece of her if I win. It would be amazing to see her in my character thread, in my "home", persay. She's an angel, and I would treat her as such. She's so lovely.

Personality:

Iris was found bipolar at eighteen, the age of evaluation, or adulthood. Most probably a result of her mother being a fallen angel and her father being the ruler of Hell. Though Iris only feels passionate anger vibes when her father is around, she never feels angelic around her mother. Just depressed and angry.

.Angelic side.

A.ffectionate
Iris feels very deeply for those in pain, or those hurting or confused. She will do anything she can to care for them, to make them feel alright. She will go to the edge of time to try to save someone she loves or cares deeply for. When no one is in danger, she will flirt and happily tend to other's favors asked of her. And she doesn't mind a bit. She develops a sort of love towards everyone she meets, making her a very friendly person. If you have only seen Iris's affectionate side, you can make friends with her easily. She is a very aggreable person. Though some find it hard to keep up a good relationship with someone who, when in a bad "mood", could push them off the edge of a cliff, when happy she is a very likable anthro.

N.ervous
Iris can't help but be overprotective. If she's not, all she does is worry, and she can't stay still. She always thinks of others first and foremost. She's constantly obsessed over whether or not her friends are alright. She couldn't stand for anyone she knows getting hurt - she'd die from grief alone. So she takes the initiative to stay nervous for others' well being.

G.entle
When she's not under Satan's control, Iris has a very soft hand. She will never hit or hurt anyone, and if she is hit in any way, or hurt, she won't even try to defend herself. She can get very shy and sweet when she's not in a "bad mood," as her fellow demons call it. She will always think of others before herself, and cannot think of anything better to do with her time except make others feel accepted and important. When she's happy, Iris can't even kill a bug. She deems them innocent, and misunderstood, just like every other unliked anthro in Hell, or earth. She could never even scratch a soul. If an animal is mistreated in any way, (or an anthro), she will fix them up right away. She's alright with medical types of things.

E.ncouraging
If you are having a bad day, or are off your high horse and in a depressive state, Iris is the one to go to. She always has the best advice, and knocks your spirits as high as the clouds, encouraging you to press on. She says that you can't quit on something you can't go a day without thinking about. Iris is like life's cheerleader. She makes you feel as though you are the star of the show, even if she can't always say the same for her /nervous/ self, she always perks spirits. She makes you feel as if you have a place in the world, as if your actions have a meaning. She makes you feel loved.

L.oyal
If she likes you and you are not her father, Iris could not turn on you for anything. She has a severe protective side, and if you ask her to do something, she does it the first time. As stated before, she will defend another with her life, at all costs. She could not think of anything worse than having someone die at her default, and considering death is not uncommon, she protects others left and right. She can't let someone go anywhere unprepared or without proper gear, meaning that if she loves you well enough you can't leave without her period. She will never let you alone if you are fragile. She could never let anything hurt you, or anyone, ever again.
She would not make the mistake again that she'd made once before.

.Demonic Side.

D.angerous
If Iris isn't "feeling well" for a day /or two, etc./ it's probably best to steer clear for a while. She's actually murdered on whim before. She's regretted it ever since. She is really a bomb on the verge of explosion when her dad is around, which is not good for either her or the opposite side. Bad attitude is the least of her problems when Satan is with her. She is constantly thinking awful thoughts. Thoughts that include everything her father had taught her. She is not pleasant to be around, so she takes initiative to warn people about her "moods" when her head is on straight. She is avoided during those days.

E.vil
Iris can't help but be evil when her father is near. She does everything she can that is against all of the rules, breaking everyone's hearts and playing other people. Teasing the ones being eaten in the hole of Hell. Her father is usually impressed, especially when she takes it too far. Her most terrifying moment was when she pushed an accepted demon into the fires. Satan could have never been more proud. Sickening, to most. Exciting to some.

M.iserable
There is not one second, not a second at all that Iris doesn't feel deeply grieved when she's with Satan. Often when she's somewhat "sane" she tries to descover ways around this terrible feeling, but so far all attemps had resulted in failure. Not much can be done in the meantime, though. Iris is not aware of this feeling until she awakes from her visits to misery. It only depresses her more to know she felt that way, though. Iris believes her misery is the vibe from Satan, which is why she feels that terrible feeling and as a result, why she acts out. Which, in fact, is why she tries to think of ways to fix it. Sadly, nothing can really be done.

O.utspoken
There is not a word not said between Iris and her father when she's in the meaningless state. If she has an opinion, nearly always one that involves hurting another, she will state it. Usually it is agreeable by her father, but sometimes he must disagree with her choices, in which time she threatens him. In that sence, Iris can be very stupid. Luckily Satan takes it as humor, bad humor, so she gets out of trouble /not that she's ever really out of trouble/. Being the Devil's daughter and all, you have to get special treatment. She's despised by most the other 'of age' demons.

N.ot trustworthy
It should be pretty obvious to never tell Iris an important secret when she's "upset," but some dumb anthros never get the message. It is probably not as obvious that even when sane she's a risk. Even when her moods change, it's not as though she just forgets everything as soon as she's gotten angry. When she feels that way, she does everything in her own possible grasp to make others feel the misery she does. So, you should not spill anything over important to Iris, because there is always a risk.

History/Background:

The day of my evaluation, I knew I was going to be accepted.
He had to let me in. In exchange for my captive mother, I was not to be executed or murdered. Of course he was never fair. But... He had made a deal. Her life in exchange for mine.
I stepped up behind the other demons to be. There were six of us, seven including me. There were constantly demons joining this place, this wretched awful place, torturing others and being destroyed. It was either this life, or the end of life. Possibly being murdered would've been better, but when you turned eighteen you were "of age," and that was just too young to make the choice to die.

I hated it there. The others [ two girls and four boys] loved it. They had been taught no other way, had known no way out. They had been treated like villians, had been created to destroy people, mind, soul, and body. Not me, I despised this. But it was probably because I knew the way out.
I'd been too scared to leave that day. I had been sixth in line, only one boy behind me, who looked even more terrified than I was. When I stepped into the room, there were two crying boys on the left side of the room, and both girls and one boy on the right who seemed solemn. It was obvious who had passed the evaluation, who was going to live, and who had not passed, those who did not have the opportunity. I found this surprising. He favored the boys, yet it was only boys who had failed, who were going to be killed.

To be next scared my wits out. But I saw him yet again, face to face. He was beautiful, gorgeous, lovely. He was the most cunning sight to ever be seen. But he was a fake. His whole goal was to trick people into thinking he was amazing and stunning, when his heart was decayed and disgusting. He held no feelings. I turned my head down when I stepped in front of him, the passed demons staring with curiosity, whispering petty little comments.

"She gets it special."
"You know he has no sence of trust."
"Either do we. Yet he is respectful when needed."
"She'll make it. Just watch."
"How could he turn her down after-"

"Enough." The melody of his harsh voice was still lovely, even in it's worst hour. Then he turned his empty, but still beautiful eyes to me. "Good evening, Iris."

I still stared at the ground. "Good evening, my lord."

"If you are too scared to face me, you are not cut out for this, my dear."

If I was challenged, it always struck a nerve inside of me. I stared up at him. "I have no fear of you, Lord."

"But you should," he insisted. "I can do terrible things for you."

"Like my mother?" I challenged. "I would care not if you sent me with them." I flicked my tail towards the boys mourning for their lives.

"Would you, now?" he considered. "I suppose I should send you there."

"Do as you wish," I said carelessly. "But you know I would be of much use to you. And you vowed to never break your promise."

"Why hold a promise to a broken angel?" he laughed. The beauty of his voice mesmerized all. All but me. I was half immune, half intruiged. "But you are right. You are of use. And I know you would serve me well." I held my head high.

"Alright," he nodded. "You are accepted."

I felt a sharp pain in my chest, and I looked down. My demon mark had formed - a bleeding heart.

I nodded my appreciation, and moved towards the group away from him, no matter how badly I thought I wanted to be with the dead men. I knew I had to stay though, to save my mother, the broken angel. He had dragged her soul with him when he fell. So I stayed, and I walked away.

I walked away from my father.
Beautiful. Lovely. Decieptful.
The Devil himself.
______________

We were standing on the edge of the hole that plummeted to the depths of Hell. Time for our first assignment as official demons.

The boy behind me had made it, after much arguing. Satan had agreed to let him in as a demon if he would be loyal at all costs. He had said yes. I'd learned all their names during the time I'd stood with them. The boy who was to stay loyal (at all costs, we were all to stay loyal), his name was Danny. The blonde boy with us, his name was Stark. The teeny brunette girl's name was Lexi, and the tall, toned blonde's name was Dera.

Our first assignment was to push the other two boys who hadn't made it into Hell where they would be eaten alive by flames for eternity. They both looked terrified. Satan had chosen me and Danny to do the deed. I was terrified.

The first boy who had finished mourning stepped up to me, between me and the hole that would lead to his fate. "Go on," he said steadily. "I'm ready to die." My hands shook, and I pressed them to his chest. He wasn't breathing. He stared me down, and I was entranced. I stared back. We stood there for what must've seemed like forever. I couldn't push him. I wouldn't! I couldn't take a life to eternal damnation. But before I was about to walk away, I saw the look in his eyes, and he leaned backward, falling into his pit of fate.

This was when my bipolar signs first started to show. I stepped away from the hole, not sad, nor greiving that the boy had fell on his own. I was angry - angry that he had done what deed I had been assigned to do, by my own father!

Then Danny and the other shaking, terrified male anthro stepped into place. "I'm so so sorry," Danny whispered. "But it's you or me." The smaller anthro nodded, and closed his eyes, scared out of his wits. So Danny carefully took his wrists and dropped him into the pit of damnation. "I'm sorry," he whispered to the falling, screaming body. The flames must've already started to eat him.

"Sorry?!" I exclaimed. "Sorry? Sorry that you murdered that piece of trash?" I growled and stepped up to the boy. "That's not what demons do." And so I then punched Danny in the stomach, and he fell into the hole that lead to Hell.

I turned to face the demons behind me. They all had wide mouths. I glared at them. "Who's next?" I muttered.

I heard clapping behind me. I spun around, ready to pounce, when I saw my father poof in from nowhere. I didn't stop glaring. "Quite a show, quite a show," he congratulated me. "That is what my demon daughter has been raised to do. I knew I let you through for a reason." He turned to the others. "Would any of you have tried that? I can tell lies, and I'll let her push every one of you in that denies the truth."

There was a hesitation, but they all shook their heads. "Quite," Satan said once more, and with a snap of his fingers, closed the gate to Hell's flames. "That'll be it for the day," he said. "Go on, all of you." He glanced to me, and then dissappeared.

As soon as he was gone, the evil in me went with him. I gasped and shivered. Who was I?

@Kessler: Please do not mini mod or quote forms... it just takes up a lot of space and can get confusing for the staff. Apple Jack can indeed post a form without permission... you only need the permission to actually be able to adopt it, but working on the form before getting permission is a normal thing, as you need the form to begin with if you need to send it. If she had done something wrong with her form, I can assure you I would have let her know before adding her to the list. =/

Hey sorry to bother, is the code-drop gonna be today or tomorrow? I really hate to even ask but we're going to get it by a hurricane sometime soon and I don't think I'll be able to get on to finish my form. D: Does it just cycle over into the next code drop if it isn't finished for this one?

If I have time I'll do it tonight. However my internet has become very fragile this past week. (I'm assuming it's because of the hurricane.) But If you can't finish a form during a code drop, and no one took it this week, you may repost the form for another shot at the character.

Pet's ID Tag:

Name You'd Choose for It:
Karis
{Meaning Grace}

Gender:
Female

Age:
Twenty-one years
{Her birthday is on the 12th of October}

Species:
Pharaoh hound
{But anthro obviously ^^} A totally unnatural one.. xD

Personality:
Karis is normally chatty and outgoing. She can be quite vain and mean at times though. She takes her job seriously however, and isn't one to shy away from danger. She loves doing things like bungee-jumping and rock-climbing and sporty activities. She's quite intellectual and likes to lecture her co-workers on random facts and things.

Karis likes to spend her money on expensive clothes, jewellery and decorations for her house. She owns a rather large house with flashy items but she doesn't really like it. There's been speculations on how she affords all this, when her only job is a detective, most people say her parents left her a huge amount of money but Karis doesn't say. A lot of people think she only cares about herself, that she's selfish, rude to everyone and likes to waste money for no reason. However she does actually care about all of her partner and her co-workers, you just need to get closer to her because she doesn't lend her trust to everyone. She actually does a lot of charity work, but doesn't spread that around. She normally ignores what people say about her but sometimes she can snap, like pretty much anyone.

Karis' partner is a male golden tabby tiger called Tali, who tends to get on her nerves because he likes to talk and talk without stopping. When they first met, Karis pretty much hated him. However after a while, she grew to like him. On the second year of them working together, in a particularly dangerous case Karis ignored Tali's advice and did something stupid and reckless that almost got her killed but Tali managed to save her. Ever since then Karis has always listened to him, and trusted him. And then she realized she was falling for him.

Reason You Want It:
When Tripp first donated her, I saw her and instantly felt like I needed her. The colours are so pretty and blue is my favourite colour~ I felt an instant connection, and I wish I could’ve started on her story earlier, but I was camping. D: But whilst camping, I was thinking of a story for her and in doing this I felt more and more connected to her. I like the little splash of red too. Muurrr I love her so much~ x3

I've been looking for more humanoid characters but seeing as I fail at colouring linearts and stuff, I've been lurking on the adoption threads and whatnot. I'm so glad I could have a chance to adopt her. And I hope I do get her, but of course may the best form win. :3
(I love the lineart, totally goes with her personality. xD)

History/Background/Other:

Warning: There is use of guns in this story, as Karis is a detective, if it's too violent tell me so I can change it. :3

It was a cold, dark night and the dead silence of the forest had scared away most of the inhabitants of the forest. The rain had come and gone quickly, but it was enough to make the floor muddy and horrid to walk in. Somewhere in the overgrowth, a mouse stirred. It's small beady eyes glinting with the light from the moon, it twitched a few times sensing that it was safe and darted out from the bush. It hadn't been running for long until the floor started to rumble with vibrations and it ran away to safety in the bushes. "Stop!" a voice yelled, it was feminine with a hint of a British accent. A shadow streaked past the mouse's hiding place, and it was followed by two others.

The large male at the front of the chase ran as fast as he could, his paws pounding the dirty floor, he dodged to the right in hope to confuse his followers but it didn't work.
"Karis, it's no hope! It's too dark!" Another voice yelled, this time it belonged to a male with a strong American accent. "Rubbish! Why can't we just shoo-" Karis was cut off as she collided into the man they had been chasing, the man tumbled to the floor and Karis stumbled backwards and then fell. "..ow." She muttered before looking around at her partner who was fighting the beginnings of a grin. "Shut up and caution him." Karis hissed with a hint of amusement, standing up and dusted herself off. Tali picked the man off of the floor and started the caution "You're under arrest.." Karis took the radio from her waist and held it to her ear "We got the suspect." She murmured into it and turned to her partner, the radio hissed to life and someone said "Nice job! Oh..I mean received! Over!" Karis rolled her eyes and Tali began laughing "Nice tackle!" He grinned. A small smirk appeared on the female's jaws but it faded away quickly. "I guess we better get back then." She said, looking up at the skies as it started to rain. "I suppose so." Came the reply. The suspect had been muttering curses and insults at them the whole way through, but they were too wrapped up in their own thoughts to worry about him too much.

Once they got back to the station, they did the basic things like searching the suspect, cataloguing him and all the boring things. Karis sighed softly and then walked off, leaving Tali to finish with him. She went to the coffee machine and poured herself a steaming cup of the brown liquid. She sat down in the corner of the cafeteria, putting her feet up on the table. Taking a sip of her coffee, she watched the few others wondering around and chatting. A frown knitted across her brow as someone looked her way and then turned back to their companion, whispering something.
Probably more rumours. Karis thought, another sigh escaping her jaws. She continued drinking the coffee, listening to the snippets of conversation that drifted to her ears. Her name came up a lot, she wasn't very liked at the station but Karis didn't care. She got the job done and that's probably the only reason the chief kept her on the team. After a little while, Tali walked through the doorway and looked around, spotting Karis he smiled and walked over to her."What's up?" he asked, genuine concern washed over his face as he reached out his hand to put it on Karis' own. "Nothing." she muttered back, pulling her hand away and staring through him.

Karis looked away, willing the heat away from her cheeks. She wanted to keep her hand there, but she couldn't. Falling in love with your partner? The stupidest thing you could do! A criminal could use it to their advantage. Not to mention he just happened to be a feline, and she was a canine. It would be a...crime against nature? She snorted in her head, why was she even thinking about it? Karis knew that Tali didn't feel that way about her. He was just a good friend. That was all. She was snapped out of her thoughts by Tali saying "There has to be something wrong... you're not normally this quiet." ...Was there a trace of hurt in his voice? No, Karis must've imagined it. She looked at him "I'm. Perfectly. Fine." She replied through her teeth. Tali looked surprised at her sudden anger. Karis was surprised too. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you."

Tali smiled and opened his mouth to say something, but he was distracted by something and he looked over as a woman approached us, Shadiya. Shadiya was a snow leopard, and somewhat of a newbie to the detective business. She flicked her orange bangs out of her face and grinned, "Hey guys!" she said, helping herself to a seat and munched on the doughnut she seemingly got out of nowhere. "So you got your bad guy! Have you questioned him yet? The victim's family are starting to get annoyed at the fact they haven't got justice or somethin'" she blinked, a few crumbs spraying from her mouth. Karis frowned "You shouldn't talk when you're eating." she muttered as she brushed the crumbs off of her legs and took them off of the table. "Ok mother." Shadiya smiled, sarcasm dripping from her voice but then she went quiet as she finished the sickly-looking pink doughnut. Karis studied the bruises she just noticed on her knees and frowned as she prodded them. Tali looked at Shadiya, raising his eyebrow "Justice? Sounds silly to me, but I suppose we were just going to go question him.." he replied, looking at Karis pointedly. Karis looked at him "Oh. Ok." was all she muttered before taking a last gulp of her now lukewarm coffee and walking out. Tali sighed, looked at Shadiya and shrugged in a "What can you do?" way.

Karis was jealous of Shadiya. She knew that she liked Tali and she flirted with him in any way possible. At least their pairing actually made sense. Karis felt sick. Why did she feel this way about Tali? She didn't want it. She thought back to the time when Tali had saved her life. The criminal had a gun, her gun. She was weapon-less and vulnerable. And he was going to kill her, for getting in the way. Karis had contacted Tali for backup, but he had countered traffic and wouldn't be there. By the time he got there, it would probably be too late. The criminal, who called himself Snake, aimed the gun at her head. A instant kill, if he pulled the trigger. He had laughed at her, asking "Where's your silly partner now? Probably dead if my hit-man did the right thing." Karis didn't feel too much fear at the possibility of Tali being dead. Back then he had been annoying, and drove her around the bend. Snake walked to Karis, his menacing eyes glaring into hers, "I suppose you're not much use now are you?" he had said, Karis remembered that she had suddenly kicked him hard. Which had made him mad. Very mad. He backed up and aimed the gun at her head again. She squeezed her eyes shut and then heard the gun shot. She flinched and opened her eyes. Snake had a stunned look on his face and he fell to the floor. Karis had looked at her body, no bullet hole. She looked at Tali. He had made it.

Karis felt dizzy, ever since then she had admired him. And they became proper partners, not people who nagged each other to death. But when Shadiya arrived, Tali had taken a liking to her. He liked her personality. Maybe Karis was too mean for him, too selfish. She had hoped that they had known each other for long enough for him to know the true her. The world started to spin, the lights too bright. Karis stumbled to the floor, someone called her name and it echoed. The world went spiralling away and into darkness.

I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.

Do you have any exact time estimates? ^^; I haven't yet finished my form and I'm about to leave for work, I won't be getting home until around 9pm est.
If it's more convenient to do it before/around then, go ahead and do it, I can always put my form in for next week, I just don't want to scramble back only to see that I could have just taken my time. x3
