I pushed her smooth black hair away from her pale face to look into her teary eyes. She wouldn't tell me what's wrong. She wouldn't even look at me, or respond to me saying her beautiful name that loved to roll off of my tongue gracefully. I laid gentle hands on her flushed cheeks, and carefully tilted her head up towards me. Finally her lovely green eyes met my worried gaze. She parted her rose coloured lips ask if to speak, only that failed, no words came from her mouth only loud strained sobs. Why? Why wouldn't she speak? Why wouldn't she tell me what's wrong?

I watch as you cry
But it's getting late

I watched as she reached up with shaky hands, and rested them over my own as she worked on madly blinking away the endless tears. "My Lilac, my beautiful Lilac.. Speak, tell me what's wrong." I whispered, "please. I cannot stand to see you cry, it pains me so." I told her, swallowing nervously.

"So, so many things are wrong." Lilac said, barely even a whisper. Her voice cracked as she spoke.

"Tell me." I pleaded, "tell me what's wrong."

Was I invading in on your secrets?
Was I too close for comfort?

"Everything." Lilac said, squeezing her powerful green eyes shut. Everything? What's everything? Everything has been nothing but perfect. "There's so much I haven't told you.. so much. We can't- I can't- I just.." She tried to speak but only erupted into tears again. I suddenly felt a sickening feeling in my chest, and I felt as if my heart was starting to be torn apart. I knew what she was going to say.

"Don't say it my love, don't say it." I whispered, pressing my lips to her forehead and shutting my eyes as I felt them begin to water.

"I'm not.. I'm not like you-" Lilac began, but I quickly but her off.

"I know, I know. I'm okay with that. We'll figure it out." I insisted, pulling my lips from her forehead.

"I can't.. I'm not supposed to fall in love with a human. We can't be together, Dimitri." Lilac whispered. Oh, how I loved the way this extraterrestrial girl said my name. It was musical.

What was I just about to discover

"I'm sorry Dimitri.. I'm so, so sorry." Lilac said as she began to pull her body away from mine. No, no, no, no! I dropped my hands and gripped her small shoulders to keep her from leaving, I felt her squirm in pain. No, I didn't mean to hurt her..

"Please don't leave me. We'll figure it out. Please just don't leave.. I'll do anything for you. Anything!" I said, feeling the to tears finally free themselves from my eyes.

Remember when we scratched our names into the sand
And told me you loved me
But now that I find
That you've changed your mind
I'm lost for words

"Anything?" asked Lilac gazing up at me with a hopeful expression.

"Anything," I repeated- nodding my head. I watched as she moved her hands and cupped my face with her bony hands and long fingers.

"I ask one thing, and one thing only from you then." Lilac whispered.

"And what's that?" I asked. She reached up and pressed her smooth lips against mine, I never knew that would be the last time I got to feel her- told hold her. To love her.

And everything I feel for you
I wrote down on one piece of paper
The one in your hand
You won't understand
How much it hurts to let you go

It's kind of ironic how nicely coloured those words are, though.
Maybe that's why people like to shout them so much.

...I really like techno music. o-ob The notes are very crisp, very precise and defined. I wanted to have that sort of imagery come through, but, er... Neither I nor Thales are any good at explaining it, haha.

When dusk turns to the dark. To the night where it can hide the crimes of the day. That's where she is. Why? Because she's Toxic. Dangerous to touch, almost like a coiled up snake ready to strike. She's not to be meddled with. Every step she took through the black forest, What used to be grass, shriveled up and died.
People always say " with great power, comes great responsibility."
But her power, she believed, was not included there. For her power was destruction. That was her purpose. Or more like her curse. Unloved, unwanted. Cursed to forever wander these trees alone...or at least until they died because of her.....what else could she do. She couldnt come close to a living thing, so here she was in a life of seclusion. But things.....soon changed.

---2 years later-----

What used to be the forest is now a busy, overpopulated city. Smog rising from it like a beast, devouring the sky. She, unbelieved by herself, now dwelled there. Slinking in the shadows at night. And concealing herself by day. Afraid someone would catch sight of her and whisk her away like a plague.
It was still late at night, and now was the time for her freedom. Her chance to get out before the sun came up again. Her face was down, but her eyes were vigalent, always waiting for any sign of movement. Taking a short cut down a small and desolate ally she stopped and wondered where she had gone. Was she lost? But that was the least of her concern now. For she had been....spotted

"HAULT!" a gruff voice called but the figure was only a shadow. Instantly her mind went into action with decisions. "run or fight." she chose run. Scared for her life that she would meet an catastrophic end. Racing, racing was her heart as she flew through the crevices and streets. The cover of darkness not enough to keep this figure at bay. Who or what was he..... Time to find out.

Slipping in front of her, the figure stood. At least three times her size. It's giant beaming red eyes peering down at her. But she could not face the figure. She could bare to see the hatred and disgust in it's eyes. But curiosity took hold and she HAD to look. But her face was stricken with the reality, that this figure was indeed staring at her with hate filled eyes. "your coming with me." it stated with a blunt force. She panicked, having nowhere to run.... Then almost like an phantom, another figure appeared out of the gloom. And without a second to react the first figure was on the ground.

"you best not be out. It's dangerous." it spoke to her. She glanced away. But yet again she dared to look into the mans eyes. But she was shocked to find they were filled with kindness, and compassion. She literally toppled but remained standing. "get inside. We should talk. Toxic." the man said before taking off down the ally.
How did he know? How did he know? She repeated over and over again as she followed. She was soon going to find out....

He stopped in front of a strange run down building and forced open the door, shutting it behind her. She looked around. Unsure of how she felt about this stranger. "you shouldn't be in the city. They are going to find and exterminate you If you stay." he said walking past her, her eyes followed. "I'm not understanding." she said calmly but if anything she was on edge. "Toxic people arnt allowed here. How many times must I say it?" he asked stopping to glance at her. "granted, your unlike any toxic I've ever met. But to the people of this city, your the villain. And I'm......" he paused. "the hero." he shook his head as if dissappointed With that title. "I'm the villain? But I have not done anything wrong!" she protested through gritted teeth. "and so you haven't, but as I said your the villain." he stopped at that word and spoke no more before heading to leave.
"where are you going?" she imposed. "I'm giving you a chance to get out, before the hunt begins." he said leaving her in the darkness.
