Personality :
Ash can be a bit over-bearing and head-strong, to say the least. She's really down to Earth, and often knows what she's talking about when she speaks up. She's very feisty and flirty when it comes to guys. She also likes making some close friends and hanging out with them occasionally. Ash prefers to be alone over anything else; practically everyone annoys her if she's around them for too long, except for Scout, her closest friend. He's almost like a brother to her. She's shy around new people and won't talk too much, but won't hold back from being completely blunt and honest with them. She can have a bit of a temper and be very rude if you rub her the wrong way.
She's short and stocky, so her major pet peeve is others calling her short.
She'll snap into a passive-aggressive little girl if you prove her wrong, and you definitely won't be in her good books for a very long time to come. She absolutely hates it when people try and prove her wrong, and succeed in doing so. Ashlynn is normally very smart when it comes to knowing the facts of the little things in life, so basically, trying to win an argument over something minor will get you nowhere. Although, she's not too sharp in the educational department.
She's street-smart, not book-smart.
Ash likes anything new, exciting and thrilling. She likes testing the waters, so to speak. She's sarcastic, funny and kinda airy when it comes to simple complications in life. That means she's completely lost when something unexpected happens. She's an excellent liar -- and likewise, can spot a lie from a mile away. On the downside of her personality she's forgetful, a bit overprotective and short-fused. She always seems to have something to say, which nearly always gets her in some sort of trouble. What can you say, she's good at being herself.
Also, she's pretty sly when it comes to talking her way out of a situation.
She's a trouble-maker -- enough said. She also won't back down from anything if it means defending her pride, and often gets herself into very sticky situations. She's a secret romantic, too.
Background/History :
"I remember how much of a trouble-maker I used to be." Ashlynn laughed, a devious twinkle in her eye as she leaped down from her spot on the tree stump. Her best friend Scout, a brown tabby cat, rolled his eyes and grinned.
"Tell me about it." He joked, flicking his tail and pacing slowly back and forth.
"Yeah, back in the good 'ol days." She simply replied with a nod. "..Hey, do you remember when we first met?" She asked out of nowhere, and Scout nodded his head yes with a smirk following after. She smiled contently at the memory of her past...
Ashlynn, a year old at the time, hastily jumped on top the kitchen table, her fur raised in alarm. She looked back down to see Shadow, the family's pet dog, glaring up at her. She hissed at him and swatted her paw before backing away from the edge and pace the length of the table. She was stuck; her master had brought home that menace a week or so ago, as a permanent part of the family. Thing is, he's a beagle. He'll chase her at every chance he gets. Ash shook her head in disgust, coming to terms with the fact that one of them was going to have to leave -- or else her life would basically be reduced to hiding from Shadow when ever he began prowling the house. She had made the decision to be the one to leave. Her master didn't really care much for her, anyways.
She lept down from the table once that dumb dog finally left, and padded out to the balcony. She sighed and went down the wooden steps, and out of the yard.
She wandered around the area, completely unsure as to where she was going. Some time later she found herself in a bustling city, with cars and tall buildings and unfortunately, other cats who probably didn't want some stranger in their territory. She dismissed her fears and went over to the park, where there were families and children abound doing their own thing. She wasn't used to all these people, and got too over-whelmed at the sight. Ash turned around and set off to find a more quiet part of the city. Somewhere not a lot of people go.
She stupidly wandered into an allyway because it seemed like no one was there, and she could possibly catch a decent meal; rats like allyways, too. Just then, she heard a voice.
"Why are you hanging around here?" The voice was of another cat, and sounded more curious than anything. She turned around to find a feral brown tabby cat with his head cocked to the side in confusion. Her fur subconsciously raised, and she immediately felt on edge.
"What's it to you?" She snapped, still in a state of blind fear. Maybe this cat wants nothing more than to kill her and run. How does she know -- he's a stranger. A threat.
"Well, uh.. You know..." He racked his brain for a logical reason, but none came to mind. He probably sounded like a babbling idiot now. He sheepishly raised his head, only to be greeted with an ice-cold stare. He immediately adverted his eyes, and a chill ran down his spine. Ash kept her gaze locked on the strange cat. "...Um." The tabby mumbled, darting his eyes all around him. "I'm unsure." He sighed in defeat, bowing his head.
"Okay.. Well, bye." She nodded brusquely and shoved her way past him. He turned and ran to catch up with her.
"Hey, can I follow you?" He asked, picking up his pace just to walk alongside Ashlynn. She stopped and looked to him, confusion covering her face before turning into a grimace.
"...Only if you know where I can get something to eat." She offered, hoping this little pesk wound leave her alone sometime soon. But as long as he knows where there's food, she'll stick with him.
"Okay!" His childish voice rang, and they began walking. "There's a forest just outside of town, and there's a whole bunch of rabbits and squirrels." He chimed. "Oh, and my name's Scout, by the way." He informed his new 'friend', veering her out of the streets and into the park, where there was a whole forest if you just went deeper.
"Call me Ash." She simply nodded, since the kid was expecting some sort of response. They padded down a dirt trail for a good ten minutes in silence before Scout decided they were deep enough into the woods. "Now, we can hunt." He simply said out loud, and began searching stealthily around the area. Ash didn't feel like questioning him at this point as to why they had to come down this deep just to grab a squirrel. Unlike her normal self, she brought down her barriers and tried to put her trust in this kid. He seemed harmless, and if she was going to live out in the wilderness she'd need someone to stick with, for safety reasons.
Ash had spotted a white rabbit, just merrily chewing away at some grass. With a devious smirk, she padded carefully back to where Scout was searching. Once she got his attention, she nodded her head as a signal for him to follow. They went back to where the rabbit was eating, and Ash decided to hide behind a nearby bush. She silently crept over to her spot, when suddenly, the ground fell beneath her feet. She let out a shocked yelp as a net came in contact with her just as she was about to hit the bottom of the ditch.
"How freakin' original!" She yelled, trying to free her back paw from the mesh net. She had fell into one of those animal traps that hunters make, much like the cheesy ones you see in movies. She couldn't get her back paw free of the net, and let out an aggravated sigh. Scout poked his head in the ditch.
"Whoa! Are you alright?" He asked, unsure as to how to get Ashlynn out of this situation.
"Oh yeah, no worries here! I'm only trapped in a net!" She called up to him sarcastically, still struggling with her trapped paw. Scout shook his head and began walking away from the scene. He felt kind of disgusted in the fact that Ash had been being so mean and rude ever since they met, even in this kind of situation.
"Wait! Where're you going?" She called out frantically, unaware of her rude behavior.
"Away from you." He turned back to the ditch and peered his head in to make sure she heard. She looked up to him in pure horror.
"Why?" She asked, her voice raising a few octaves.
"You're... not exactly someone I want to be around." He shrugged, turning to leave.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, alright?" She apologized sincerely, realizing how selfish and rude she had been treating Scout. All he ever wanted to do was help her, and she just blew it off like it was nothing. His confused eyes peered back down at Ash before her words sank in.
"You don't seem like the type to apologize for anything. Why now? Because you're screwed if you don't?" He asked condescendingly.
"No! No, I'm really, truly sorry for being so...stupid." She sighed, and a sudden pain shot up her trapped leg. "Ow! Hey, can you please help me out here?" She asked, squirming around uncomfortably. Scout finally got to his senses and began to carefully climb down the mesh net. He balanced himself when he got to the bottom, where Ashlynn's leg got stuck. He swatted at it with claws bared, and pulled it free. A huge smile placed itself on her face as she got to her feet and began to climb out alongside Scout. Once they got out and onto the forest floor, she turned to her new friend.
"Thanks..." She said gratefully, bowing her head as a form of appreciation. He simply smiled and nodded his head. "And again, sorry." She repeated, lowering her eyes to the ground. Scout chuckled.
"No worries. Sorry for almost leaving you." He countered, remembering how selfish he himself acted.
"Yeah, you better not do that again." She said jokingly, giving him a playful glare.
"I won't." He laughed, shaking his head. "I promise." He smiled contently, walking off with his new friend to go exploring.
"Ash! Hey, c'mon, stop daydreaming!" Scout called out, way ahead of her on the dirt trail. She grinned to herself and jogged to catch up with him, the memories of her past still ripe in her mind.

I'd love to use her as a fursona, if you don't mind. Oh, proper credit will definitely be given, so no worries there. :3 She has such a beautiful design, I couldn't help but fall in love with it. Oh, and I'd also try and get as much art for her as possible, so I can have a large profile for my girl. :3 I'll most likely be writing original stories for Ash on CS, just because I love to write. I'd also find a place for her in my signature, definitely. One last thing -- sorry if you wanted a different type of personality, like something more mellow and relaxed. I just think she could fit the bill of what I put down for her. xD
Other :
Fun facts: She's afraid of spiders, like deathly afraid of them. Also, she loves her Ipod to no end. She likes cracking jokes and trying to make the people around her laugh, but she's sometimes more offensive than funny if she takes a subject too far. Ash is in love with The Ready Set, by the way. And lastly, she likes wandering around; going where ever she pleases. If something bores her she'll just get up and leave, looking around for something else she finds interesting.
Ash is more interested in drawing and writing than anything.
