Entry for contest

I made this cat for a contest, and I think I'm going to name him... Magiceye! Because cats with two different coloured eyes have always seemed magical to me.
The lantern glows
In a flickering gold
And the wolves onyx eyes
Grow slowly more bold
"Come to me, child,
Come keep me warm"
"Come now child,
Aren't you here to perform?"
But as you stand still
In the very same place
A shocking scowl
Comes over her face
And her fair onyx eyes
Grow a shade much too cold
And they seem to tell stories
That should have never been told
She screams and she howls
And seethes with rage
And what seemed to be young
Is now showing age
In a flickering gold
