I am looking to adopt...Picture:
Kennel number: P56
Name: Marcus
Breed: wolf
Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?: I was scrolling down and down and I saw quite a few nice ones but this little guy struck me as the perfect match. I scrolled and looked at every single one but none compared to him. I want him SO bad. He will be a great character of mine and he will be have art ordered of him every chance I get. I love him hes so cute!
Personality: Marcus is playful and considerate. He loves to run through tall grass and see how many burs he can get stuck in his fur just so he can roll them around and get them stuck again once I get them out. He had a hard past life. His mother was hit by a car when he was only a few months old. His story will be told in the history section. Marcus had a cruel brother who always pushed him around and put him out. That is how he became so kind-hearted and determined. Marcus has a very large temper and it is not easy to break but when it does he is a spitting fury. Bullies get him going more than most because of his brother.
Likes: burrs

running, clear nights, howling to the moon, chasing fireflies, spring, music
Dislikes: bullies, his brother, cars, car rides, the road, storms, winter
History/Background: Marcus followed his timber colored mother through the prickly bushes. She waved her spiky tail for him to stop and he peered out from behind her. Foul smells his nose and he saw a black sticky rock stretch out as far as he could see in either direction. William shoved him asside, making him stumble in the weeds. His mother turned quickly and helped him up all the while scolding William. "Get away from there!" she scolded, pushing away from the rock. "Its dangerous! Wait here." She looked up and down the rock, looked one last time behind her, and sprinted across the smelly rock. Before she could reach the other side a huge beast came up from behind her and Marcus lost sight of his mother in a flurry of screaming tires. The beast stopped and a strange upright creature got out. It bent down and picked up a still form. "Poor thing," it uttered. Of course Marcus didnt know what it said though, he was just a wolf pup.
Marcus and William waited and waited but their mother never returned. The next morning William stood up and left. He never once turned back to look at his small brother. The last thing Marcus saw of William was his black tail dissapearing into the bracken. He stayed and waited for 3 more extremley long days but his he finally realized his beloved mother wasnt coming back. Marcus looked to the sky on the third night and howled his sorrow and lonliness to the moon and the twinkling white stars. It was a small comfort but it was a comfort all the same in this unforgiving world.
Marcus turned his head away and never looked back on this terrible time. The cold autumn air ruffled his fur and he fluffed it out to stay warm. Staggering with exaustion and hunger, the young wolf pup made hhis way into the forest. There he found a small group of wolves. Among them was a young mother who had lost her pup to a raging stream. She didnt hesitate in taking in Marcus and feeding him some of the groups catch. Marcus grew up with the wolves untill he was big enough to care for himself.
On his leaving day he nuzzled his adopted mother goodbye and started off into the wilderness. The trill of birdsong chimed in his ears and the soft spring sun warmed his gray fur. He lived by himself for almost a month before he came across a girl in the woods, his stomach uncomfortably empty after a bad hunt. She was humming to herself and picking berries from a large bush. Marcus stared at her from under a hollybush. He stepped on a twig and its soft crack echoed through the silent forest. The girl looked up and saw him. "Here puppy," she called. She unzipped her bag and took out a piece of meat she had for the sandwich she was going to make. She held it out to Marcus who hadnt forgotton his empty stomach. He slowly crept toward her, the enticing smell of the meat filling his head.
Before he knew it he was swallowing the meat and the girl was patting his head. She slipped a vine around his neck and kept feeding him untill they got back to her house. She gave him a collar and a bed and fed Macus every day before she decided it was time he met the rest of her friends.
Marcus followed the girl happily outside one day, his sleek tail wagging, and stopped suddenly as he saw the beautiful field and and forest stretching out before him. He raced happily into the field, tearing through the tall grass and yelped in suprise as he collided with a blue and white female. They rolled over and tangled together. Marcus quickly untangled himslef from her and stared into her curious, deep blue eyes. She barked happily and her lion like tail waved behind her as she bowed down in a request to play. Her huge blue and white wings spread out behind her and Marcus played with her untill they collapsed.
He later learned her name was Pandamonium but the girl just called her Panda. There were others creatures here but Marcus loved playing with Panda. He is happy now but every night, after everyone is asleep, you may hear him howling his thanks to the bright shining moon.
