"Beinion," pronounced Locien with a minute smile.
The older Mage Hound peeked out from behind a large bookcase.
He nodded to his friend, Locien and peered out at the humans who
had begun to gather, no doubt looking for a suitable companion.
Shaking his head he sat down, he hadn't found a companion yet, all
of their stories seemed the same... travelers from far off lands who
wish for someone to keep them company along the way. To Beinion
it all seemed so fake, not everyone that stepped over the threshold
could be an adventurer. Huffing a loud sigh he just shrugged it off
and waited for the perfect human to walk into the entry hall.

I had been sitting quietly sitting in the corner, reading a new novel on my Nook (wonderful thing for the avid reader, you don't have to carry around the five different books you were currently reading) when Locien spoke Beinion's name. Glancing up, I saw a proud older hound peering around a bookcase, looking slightly miffed at being disturbed. Quietly, I stood and walked over to the bookcase. "Hello, Beinion." I said softly to the hound. "My name is Sparrow. I couldn't help but notice you were hiding here, behind this bookcase. Do you like to read? Well, I do...I spend most of my time reading. All my friends make fun of me for it, and prefer to go off partying or shopping..." I paused, giving a rueful grin.
"Perhaps you would like to join me? It's up to you what you want to do but...if it were up to me, I would love to have a friend that enjoys reading as a pastime as much as I do." I finished my akward babbling monolouge, and stood there, eyes on the floor.
