Mage Hounds -Closed-

Wonderful stories, guys! I'll try to write a response for you both, but I'm actually not supposed to be on the computer today.

As I entered the dark house, shadows seemed to gaze at me from all sides. Eyes poked at me from the darkness, threatening to go forward, yet they kept back. I let my eyes wander, until they settled on a single streak of white lying in a far corner. Curious, I traveled towards it, wanting to know what mysterious creature or being was lying there.
A loose floor board caused me to stumble forward and I fell, landing next to the unknown being. A head turned to look my way, revealing fiery red eyes, seemingly dark with anger. But why? And then the beautiful markings along his shoulder caught my attention. "Are those really?" I whispered without thinking. Then I glanced back at his face. The anger seemed to have softened just a bit and I sat up slowly.
"Why are you alone over here?" I asked, glancing around. The other hounds seemed to be enjoying themsevles in groups, but here he was, all alone. Then I grabbed a sketch pad and pencil from my pockets and began to draw. When I finished, I showed him the picture.

"I'm sorry if you don't like it. This is just a quick sketch of you," I said, giving him a smile. "This is the best I could do, for now." I placed the sketch pad and pencil by my feet and tilted my head to the side. He seemed annoyed to me, but I couldn't tell. I'd just have to wait for him to respond.

[ponder;]

I couldn't suppress my grin as Eleniel gave her response. Lost for words, I simply stroked the thick fur around her neck, thinking ahead to the great times we were sure to have. Quickly sliding my precious book back into my bag, I turned Eleniel. "Ready?" I asked her, excitement pounding through my body. We turned, and taking one sweeping look around the hall, left through the open doors and into the night, and on to adventure.

"Rinion," Locien announces from his place by the wall.

The large white hound studies his surroundings closely and huffs,
taking no notice to the humans near him. He didn't really
want a companion and certainly not a human, he didn't like them very
much, but thought that maybe if he got to know one he'd consider
leaving.
"I wonder who will try and take me with them," he mumbled in his
gravelly voice, glancing at the other hounds.

Chance of leaving- 40%

I quietly entered the house staring intenly at the hounds. The one that really caught my eye was the large white one they called Rinion. He looked over to me and gave a loud snort. I laughed,"You're not like the other hounds huh? You don't like being around large crowds do you? Looked at and observed like some sort of science experiment." I sat a few feet away from him. The large hound took little notice,but he turned his great head towards me. I look directly into his eyes,"You have such beautiful eyes dear one." I wanted to reach out and touch his gently, but decided not to since he might try to bite me. "I wonder what the strange marking means on your shoulder." I went silent for awhile,"You know if you choose to come with me I wouldn't treat you like any normal dog. I would let you run free with all the other creatures I find. Then I let them choose whether or not they would like to stay out in the wildness or inclosed to the city life." I looked at Rinion again. It looked as if he understood me. "Yes I think you might like it there. You could hunt and be as wild as you wanted..."

I started to get up,"It's your choice though Rinion." I held my hand out to him to see if he would creep closer. Nothing happened, "Smart too...well I'll leave you alone now. Maybe I'll see you around no?" I walked over back to the door and gave a solem wave to him.

I turned my attention to Rinion "This should be interesting" I said walking towards him, "Hey names Miz" I said relaxed. I turned my attention towards him rather then drifting as normal, I sat down watching his reaction "Sorry I don't come with gifts, I just don't believe companions should be companions by being offered "Things" that they should enjoy each others company and companionship" I sighed as a small breeze started to blow threw the air. I tried not to smile and make myself look as cool as Rinion did "I have been searching for a while and I feel you would be a great companion for me, we can go many places together, explore new things and enjoy life as it is" I said watching Rinion.

"We would be known in many places for our greatness, and we can travel the world together, theres always new places to explore" I smiled hoping to be getting his attention. "You seem like a really great Mage hound, your personality is bold and you have a strong heart. Thats exactly what I have been looking for in a hound and I feel like I have found the one I was looking for" I sighed standing up "I would really enjoy your companionship, but I hope you find the person your looking for" I said walking away from Rinion. I sat down on a flat rock awaiting his oppion. My heart bounced around in my chest, "Who would he choose?" I sighed shaking my head thinking "No one knows, I cant wait til he decides though" I thought feeling more and more nervous.

Rinion's ears flattened to all of the attention he was getting, but he listened toeach one of the humans speak. His red eyes scanned their faces with a childlike curiousity. Taking a deep breath he finally spoke, "You all seem quite determined to have me as a companion..." He sat up and snorted quietly, "I find it hard to choose which one of you to follow away from my home." Claws clickinng on the stone floor he walked over to the one called 'Miz'. "I shall join you, Miz, on your journies."

@lolpeaceoutlol- Usually there will be multiple hounds to choose from. I hope that answered you question... =/

~~~~~I cautiously stepped back into the house, creeping back through the shadows. They seemed to reach out again and yet they did the same as before; only stare. My feet made barely a noise along the ground as I went to the center of the room.
~~~~~Several Mage Hounds flashed into my line of vision, but I seen one peeking out from a corner. Instantly, I felt drawn to their glowing green eyes and I made my way towards them. It was another male, like the one before.
~~~~~I sat down and watched him stare at me. "Hi, my name is Ree," I said to him, curious. His eyes didn't seem to change their hardness at this and that made me feel slightly shaken. Beinion seemed . . . . distant and untrusting to humans.
~~~~~I'll change that! I thought determinedly. I smiled at him and waved my hand slightly. I love to travel, but I've taken to relaxing at the springs nearby. I'd like it if I had a companion to share these lazy days with," I said kindly, smiling.
~~~~~I placed my hands in my lap, trying to appear proud, like he was appearing to me. Then I laughed, seeing his focus shift just slightly. "Won't you consider it?" I asked, waiting for his answers to all my crazy questions.
