Eaglepaw laughed a bit, "We might have to be careful going to the gatherings from now on, one of us could get swallowed!"

Goldenheart looked down at her kits. "I really dont know...." She sighed and looked at him. "Rainstep go see the medicine cat! Your not fine!" She yowled.

Mintkit and Foxkit stayed close to their brothers scared.

Winterstar shook her head. "I'm not sure what kind of snake that was, but we should get you treated to be sure." She said to Rainstep, turning toward the medicine cats' den. "Rosebud! Can you help me a minute?"

Brownpaw laughed "i was thinking the same thing!" she purred smiling sweetly

Wrenpaw grinned " i know you herd me' he said over his shoulder as he got up and walked over to the edge crouching down as he waiting for the next fish

Rainstep threw up weakly the strength draining from his he yowled in pain as he clasped "my paw! their on fire!" he yowled through gritted teeth his head felt hot as he saw four of everything

Rosebud ran out into the clearing "what happened?" she asked looking down at Rainstep she knew instantly and dashed into her den returning quickly with herd "describe the snake" she said not taking her eyes off of Rainstep" as she pushed forward a bunch of herbs and damp moss

Goldenheart and the kits screamed and yowled scared. Goldenheart ran to the where did that and got the snake and brought it to her.

Eaglepaw smiled right back at Brownpaw, he had never really noticed her too much before, and now he was regretting it. He laughed also, "Good thing kits don't ever try to follow us to the gathering, they'd be snapped up in a second!"

Sunpaw watched as Wrenpaw walked away, so he had meant what he had said, he thought that she was beautiful with her golden pelt and amber eyes. She followed and crouched down beside him, waiting for a fish to come. She was in a position where if a fish headed their way, she could catch it first, but she might fall in during the process.

"Thank you Rosebud." Winterstar told her medicine cat, thankful for such a talented cat to be part of the Clan. She turned to the kits to calm them down. "Have you met Rosebud before?" She asked them, still smiling so they'd be less scared.
