Why I want this Character: I would like Obscura, for I have been looking for a strong female character lately, one with beauty, yet elegance, along with superiority and quaintness. She would be a perfect addition to my small pack of characters. And when I saw her, I think I nearly fainted. I put a lot of work into creating my characters, but sometimes, my mind just cannot breach certain possibilities when creating. My imagination seems to go kaput after a certain level, and it saddens me, for my charries are very dear to me, and I love everyone of them, but when I saw her, I couldn't help but want her so bad it hurts. And after looking at her, I know I cannot create anything like her, for she is relevant to the greatest things on earth, and to have her, it would mean so much to me, and believe me, it takes a lot to do that for me.

Name: Nocte Obscura, meaning Dark Night in Latin
Age: Obscura is around 15 years, but in incredible health, for she is immortal.
Gender: Female

Personality: Obscura is a quaint wolf, with not many held grudges, and anger for lost time. She 's always been rather notorious for being there when something goof happens, and many wonder if it was her that might have saved the day, all those times. She might obscure herself very well, but indeed, that doesn't mean she doesn't get around. No, she doesn't have too many friends on ehr side, for more than likely, she is always alone, for she prefers to be a loner, and only have to worry about her, for she always fears for the safety of others, and that's what leads to her actions of doing things she may later regret, even if she saved a few lives in the process. You could call her the town Superman, but she flies with darkness, and she rides the night.

History: Will be from Her point of view It must have been years ago, many many moons, when it happened. It was a dark night, I remember, for even though my tiny eyes were shut, I could still see blackness through them, rather than the brilliant light of the sun, which somehow, I knew was supposed to be bright. I was born at around 3 in the morning, I had figured out, on a warm summer day in July. In fact, my birthday was just recently celebrated, among my small group of friends.


I was born an only child that day, for my mother was s small wolf, and my father was immortal, allowing him only one child at a time. On that day, I was well taken care of, my mother licking me, and caring for me with spectacular proportions. I actually remember a few words she spoke to me.... I had been laying there, wriggling lightly, trying to find her tummy, so I could nurse. She had bent her head over to me, and whispered, my tiny ears swiveling to catch her voice. "Darling Obscura..that's what i'll name you. Your coat will be blessed with night stars, and forever with you carry them with you. You will make a difference in this world, I just know it, and everyone will know you by how you shine. you may not be the moon, but you are her closet companion" she finished, licking me neck before grabbing my scruff and setting me down by her stomach.


It must have been only a few days before I opened my eyes for the first time, and yes, it was also at night. The world around me felt so big, but I felt comfortable, for I was in my element, darkness. It was a pleasant surprise for my mom, for she knew pups were supposed to open their eyes about 2 weeks after they are born, not 4 days. I was glad to have made my mom happy, but something was not right. My mother had been acting poorly for the past few days, I could tell even though I was blind. She had been coughing, and laying down for many hours. It was unnerving. It was soon after I realized something was wrong that she laid her head close to me, already speaking, most of it gibberish, but being my mother, I understood perfectly. "Obscura..I am not well....I am sick..with poisoning of immortality...in my blood....it is not supposed to...be there..and it..has..sickened me. Obscura, I will not make it much longer. Go now, and find somewhere safe...you won't be safe here for long after I have gone...I can no longer protect you." I whimpered, touching my muzzle to hers. "B- but momma, I ca- can't leave you here for the coyotes-" I said, starting to protest, but she hushed me, and her big eyes blinked at me with love. "Go now, I couldn't live with myself if I saw you to your demise" she said nodding me away. I licked her muzzle, and a single tear dripped down, splashing warmly on her cheek, her eyes closing, and her heart stopping. I ran, ran as fast as I could, my legs tearing up the dirt in the dark forest, my paws digging roughly into the ground, tearing it away by the second.


It was the day I had completed my first brave deed. I still remember that day, I was merely a few days old, but as strong as a normal wolf, but as scared as a rodent with a cat at it's tail. I remember running for days, maybe a moth even, before it was someone else that saw me. She had stopped me, and watched me with caution as I skidded to a complete stop a few feet in front of her. Her golden eyes were curious, her bright golden coat shimmering in the sunlight that now filtered the land. She had a halo on a chain around her neck, and a deeper golden heart on her flank. She cleared her throat, watching me still. "Young pup, who are you, exactly?" she asked carefully, her yellow eyes intent, yet gentle. I whimpered, and tucked my tail underneath my rump, my body shaking slightly. I finally spoke, after she cleared her throat yet again, urging me on. "I- I am Obscura..my mum..she died, and I'm all alone, running, running.." I trailed off, looking up at her. She was nodding to herself. She watched me carefully. "Young pup, I have been waiting for you, the whole town has. I am Larka, and you are Obscura, and we were meant to be the town saviours, me by day, and you by night. Young pup, will you take my side, and ride the night?" she asked, her eyes sparking with excitement, and all I could say was yes. I remember that day like it was yesterday, even 15 years later, when we are still saving the town from fright, and I am still riding the night......

Art: The night is her horse, on darkness she rides, over the moon, and still she glides. The stars all round', by nothing she is bound.
