OK look guys. There seems to be quite a bit of confusion and seeing as I've been doing the results for some time now, and Shadey has checked them and we have discussed them, you can trust this:
All horses can show in any show they want.
The
only limitations are the number of shows they can be in (up to 4 shows, unless an allrounder, and then they show in every show, but one user can only have 2 all rounders. This is psoted on the front.)
The breed shows are open to any horse.
The breed listed with a show are the horses that get the bonus skill points.
So for trotting, Standardbreds get those 10+ skills in those areas. Which are stamina, speed, strength and beauty (although I'm not positive about those four skills, I don't have my stuff with me that I use for making the results, but since I spend so much time looking at them they should be close)
If you look closely and not just at one horse, Disco is not the only non-standardbred to place. In fact, none of those horses are standardbreds. That is often the case with many many of the competitions.
And to answer some questions and to make sure you all understand now:
Fey-
I have absolutely no idea wheen the colour shows run, but they should be once a month. I don't even remember who does them, though.
WildLove-
2. All rounders can compete in ALL shows except Colour shows (unless aplicable).
From the front page from the shows section.
Also, since this is a sim and we only have so many members and horses, if we kept breeds strictly to certain ones for competitions, there wouldn't be much breeding or very many horses competing in a certain competition. We have about 110 horses, about half of which are active, and 13 competitions. If you took how many are the right purebreds, there wouldn't be many competiting.
About Yuri winning pony club- pony club (in real life) is a club for young riders. It happens every weekend or once a month of something, and they get together with pony club leaders and learn things about stable management and all that, and also have riding lessons. It's not just for people with ponies, it's for young riders with their horses and ponies. My friend was in pony club when she was younger, and she rode/ saw two draft horses there often.
Vampire-
Yes, he is supposed to be there.
When you put War Admiral into all-rounder, he competed in all weekly competitions.
horsy-
Yuri is in the right place, she is in all weekly competitions, and you got yourself one butt-kicking horse.

So there you have it, that's how it works.
I do spend
5 or 6 ish hours every month doing the weekly competitions, it's not just a 10 minute job and I am constantly checking rules and stats and I read every post to try and make sure I don't miss something. I do make mistakes cause I'm only human, like reading the wrong horse or putting in the wrong owner's name or something, and I try to fix those, but for knowing how it runs, don't worry, I got it covered.
