The stag is in book/movie 3 and the doe is in book/movie 7 (both for the movie.)

A doe is a female deer, so that one is not an entirely different animal. Just wanted to say.

I was thinking of actually making my own forum for Aurion, it's about time I do. maybe try to attach an oekaki to it like this one... or make an oekaki and a forum, that way people could use the ever-popular shi painter. Of course I'd need to win the heart of a good coder or two, and perhaps learn a little coding myself. work work work.

I like the movies, but never read a single book all the way through. idk why.... just couldn't get into them. And I didn't even try after I heard they killed off my two favorite characters ;___;

No, they did not. Actually, I always had a deer in mind, when I thought of James. Don't know why, I just never could imagine him as a stag, since they are big and slow and clumsy. A deer would have suited his character much better. But the patronus in the movie is a deer, I think.

I never really get mixed up between the two, because James and Lily are a couple right?
So James = Male = Stag and Lily = Female = Doe.
Harry is so much like his father that he has to be a stag, and Snape is a doe because of his love for Lily.
Easy, right?

Looks like the form James Potter took as an animage. Hence the nickname, "Prongs".
Harry once used that creature to scare away dementors.
