Surprise, surprise. I got done early. *waggles eyebrows* Be amazed by my amazing author/writing skills.

The next Ahzenai to appear from the vortex did so in a most unusual manner. Instead of simply walking out like his previous cousins, Thegalym was launched from the vortex in a fiery mass and crashed into the lake, spraying water everywhere. He came up sputtering and coughing and paddled over to the edge of the lake, dragging himself out. His normally bright and fiery element was nothing more than a slight glow as it recovered from the dousing. He stood there for a moment- apparently letting the sopping nature of his fur hit him- then shook violently to dislodge the dampness.
Once satisfied he was no longer dripping he waltzed over to a boulder and hopped on top, settling down for an intensive grooming. He was just in the middle of drying his left shoulder when he noticed the humans watching him. He paused for moment before recoiling back in shock. Where did they come?! Panic filled him and he almost slipped off his perch and back into the water.
"Stay back!" He yelped, "I, Thegalym am a powerful Ahzenai and I'm not afraid to whoop on you!"
He formed a fist with his paw and shook it, as if to emphasize his point.

Alright, so I failed to successfully woo the beautiful female Ahzenai, Eriat, but I was perfectly fine with that. As they say, you win some you lose some. They also say that if at once you don't succeed, try, try again. I like to live by these words of advice, so I waited from my sitting vantage point of the vortex, awaiting the moment when the next Ahzenai came out. The first one that came out of the vortex was a female with ram-like horns and seemed to resemble a bleeding hear dove, the maroon color Ahzenai announced that her name was Adethea, I was intent on watching her, trying to evaluate whether or not she was the one I should try to woo. It was then that to my great surprise, a second Ahzenai made a dramatic exiting leap through the vortex and landed into the nearby lake, causing the water to spray everywhere, I myself got a little drenched, I shook myself like a dog, like I prefer to do since it works for me. The purple with white swirls patterned male Ahzenai came up spluttering and coughing as he reemerged from the lake and began to paddle over to the edge of the lake and then dragged himself onto what had once been dry land before his theatrics. For some strange reason I couldn't comprehend, he stood there for awhile as if he was letting the even "soak" in. Okay, I have to admit, that was a really bad joke. Anyway, his normally fiery element, for he was in fact a plasma Ahzenai. He shook himself violently to rid himself of the water which had soaked in, much the same way I had done. Once he was satisfied with the fact that he was no longer dripping wet, he began to waltz over to a boulder and hopped up on top of it and settled himself down for an intensive and extensive grooming. He was just in the middle of drying his left shoulder when he seemed to notice us humans watching him. He paused for moment before recoiling back in shock, if I read the look on his face correctly, he seemed to be wondering where we came from. Panic and fear filled his expression and he almost slipped off his perch and back into the water in his surprise.
"Stay back!" He yelped, "I, Thegalym am a powerful Ahzenai and I'm not afraid to whoop on you!" He then formed a fist with his paw and shook it, as if to emphasize his point. I wanted to giggle. It was such a typical male thing, covering his fear with a show of intimidation and macho-ness. I could read him like a book. He was such an amazing character to me that my intentions of wooing the female left me and were replace with the intent of wooing him. I considered carefully how I would go about wooing this Ahzenai, I considered going along with it. But then what would I say? "Oh great and powerful Thegalym, I mean you no harm, I just want to give you this adorable warm kitten to help warm you after your spectacular and admirable display of waterworks and swimming abilities that you honored us with.?" That might work, so I decided to try it, whipping out my warm kitten, I tried it out, proffering the warm kitten to him. Thegalym's luminescent turquoise green eyes regarded me, the look in his eyes that he had already had was still there, though I thought that I could read a look of slow ease, like he might have been deciding that I at least was harmless. I decided to wing it from here, I let the kitten toddle over to Thegalym and said with extreme reverence, "With this warm kitten I would also like to offer you a chance at eternal and undying and unswerving devotion and friendship along with the chance to explore other worlds and civilizations with me, the choice is yours." I said, my offer was serious and heartfelt, it was like I was offering up a part of my heart and soul and giving him the means to kill them, it was a feeling akin to the one that I had felt several months ago when I had tried to ask the boy I had a crush on in my history class to go to the Junior Prom with me, in the end I was rejected, it was painful and I ended going to the prom alone, but this time I was determined to not be rejected again and not to end up alone. I was going to fight for this one, probably not hand to hand combat or anything, but definitely use my powers of persuasion to woo him.
