No-one in the pack had expected that Jorik would be the first one to take on a mate. Even more surprising was the fact that it was Ignatius who Jorik had managed to woo. The ever-serious and steady Ignatius didn't seem like the greatest match for the impulsive and reckless Jorik, and yet after some time it seemed to be the perfect set up for both of them. Jorik learned how to think before he acted. He became less likely to come home injured or with trouble following close behind him. Similarly, Ignatius learned how to relax a bit. His shoulders lost some of their stiffness, and these days he's more rested than he has been in years. They both prefer this type of relationship because it's built on support. There was no big speech or impressive show of love; just two cheetahs who work hard to support each other and themselves.
