response: Still searching feverishly for answers, Clissandra drags Star Sparkle to the daunting Embassy to learn what more they can together. And afterwards she concedes to Sar's wish to go and visit the fountain again, if only to see they beautiful water flowing between and beneath the cobbles and stained glass. Clissandra still keeps an ear out for anything that might be useful.

response: Nereus roams the quite streets still trying to find answers to the event's of the masquerade ball. "Perhaps I'll find something at the fountain today?" Nereus says to himself as he begins to head in the direction of the fountain. Before he gets very far his eye's drift to the strange alley he had ventured into a few days ago. "I should check that alley again at some point today too." He grumbles as he continues on his way.

Another day dawns with the same lull as the one that came before it. It's amazing how the once lively and vibrant city has become a ghost town in just two days. Nathan roams the empty cobbled paths in hopes of another lead, but the lack of people to talk to makes that goal seem far off. With the image of the opalescent dagger burned in his mind and the fragment of the elixir bottle in his pocket, he at least has those to go off of in the meantime. He already decided last night to revisit the fountain, the one thing all the houses want control of, and what they all seem to have in common. While he didn't exactly get a giant clue last time, he has a good feeling about today. It's also one of the few places he can go to since all the markets have closed up.

The looming city wall in the distance reminds him how utterly trapped he is here. Not only that, but he's also in the center of a murder, or fake murder plot. The culprit is, at least in theory, also in the city, but given the magic he's seen, he doubts their stuck like he is. This world is pretty vast from what he's heard, so if they manage to escape, there's no way they're going to be found again. The least Nathan can do is help figure out who it is. He needs good recognition for once, even if it's not in his own realm.
