mask design: A half gold and half black mask with jade and silver accents. On the golden side are various silver and jade colored feathers while on the black side there are several silver colored crystals and jade gemstones. The center of the mask has a jade and several small crystals to divide the two sides of the mask.

Ryujin doesn’t need to eat so all his time can be used to wandering around and exploring what the ball has to offer. Discussions and meetings will be challenging at crowded places so if anything fishy is going on, they would take place at a more subtle area. He peered out the glass window overlooking the garden. The soft glow of lights illuminated the garden but there are still places shrouded in darkness.
He turned around and noticed the door leading to the west atrium is also more quiet and less used compared to the east atrium and main hall. Well, these two will be the first spots then.

mask design:

Made of a beautiful ivory.
It was crafted beautifully.
A shape not quite unique that it draws attention.
But a shape not as regular.

Gold is a colour well-loved.
It lines the trimming of the mask.
It finds itself cascading beautifully off the ivory.
A design so simple yet so elegant.
A feather that fell from a phoenix adorned on the right side.
It is the colour of a vibrant sunset.

mask design: Dawson's formal attire is very cowboy-esque, tassels and all. his mask would probably match that. I'd imagine it would be black, the leather lightly etched with floral designs next to the eyes. there would be cowboy tassels on the bottom of the mask with little gold beads. the mask is held together by a sturdy black string, tied in a bow beneath Dawson's hair. the corners of each eye are set with small gold pearls.

mask design: imagine a phoenix as if it were just a mask. plumes of flame dancing and bouncing and threads of the feathers mingling together to form a dazzling view for the eyes. below a majestic beak that follows the top of the nose. All in a glorious sunset color that fades with the light. In the darkness it glows, and the feathers at the left side are always fully animated in a flame.

mask design:
An elegant, pure white mask, golden accents painted carefully on the edges, with intricate little carvings. The right side of it is the shape of a thickly feathered white wing, small golden stars lightly smattered across it. Two long, curved horns erupt from the top of it, graceful thin chains draped over. Iris' neck prickles uncomfortably as she stares at it. There's something sinister about it, though it's not like she can refuse to wear it. She's sure the higher-ups spent a good amount of crowns for this.

After two days of exploring, an evening masquerade sounded like an absolute delight! They found themself surrounded by excited fables hurriedly preparing for the evening, and returned to their accommodations to prepare for the night ahead. If there was one thing Petunia was good at, it was crafting- she excitedly worked on her mask until the sun began to drop low in the sky. She explored the beautiful hall, spending some time in the more quiet of the two atriums. While she debated visiting the main stage, she decided the garden couldn't be skipped over!

everything about the masquerade ball venue was overwhelming to ondine. the glittering lights, the decorations, the noise that filtered constantly through the air. even the mask that set perched upon her face (thank goodness she went to the market yesterday!) was pushing her to overstimulation. and typically, it would be beneath her to sneak away from the crowds: that was what weak fables did. but for heaven's sake, no one really knew who she was here anyways so who even cared!

she scurried away quickly, off to a quieter corner of the city hall. here, she was surrounded by towering glass panes that seemed to be emblazoned with the stars outside. they glinted through the glass, shining brightly in a way that ondine had never quite seen before. for a time, she simply stood there, entranced by the sight before her. it was then that the flowers below caught her attention as they glittered in the moonlight. her heart almost skipped a beat, for she imagined the flora she would see here, on land and in this mysterious town, that she would never be able to see back in her watery confines. with a newly formed spring in her step, ondine giddily made her way to the gardens before schooling her expression to be something cooler, more neutral.

a solid gold mask, heavy from the weight of the materials used. minuscule, golden beads, sewn with care and extreme precision, adorned the entirety of the front of the mask. the beads weaved in and out, creating intricate patterns replicating those of flora. towards the center of these patterns were pearls, as if to replicate the center of a flower. the edges of the mask were asymmetrical, with golden petals and leaves hanging off in an orderly fashion. to fasten the mask to the wearers face was golden lace, sheer and sparkling when the light hits it just right. ondine was sure that the mask would make her stand out, suiting her features just right.
