I would love to be considered for claiming her!

My idea is basically she's is personification/goddess of the sea of souls in my lore. Legend says that how the sea of souls was created was from a fable who passed away and from they're body a vast ocean was formed but at the same time the fable was also revived and turned into the living personification of the sea she created from her old life. Now reborn she roams the sea of souls and takes care of all who inhabite and sail thought the sea, but be wary not to anger her for her emotions are tied to the sea and so a perfect sunny day could quickly turn into a terrible storm.

I would love to tryout for this beautiful bby ^^)/

Here's an idea of her origins/lore!
- Grandmother/mother/ancestor to my Fable, Castelle!
- The origins of the ability that Castelle has, which is producing pearls through their tears.
- Was exploited by a wealthy creature in her youth (I'd like to think that there are other species in this universe, though I don't know what they are yet)
- She had to create a lot of pearls for them, and was also displayed in front of visitors for her ability, to maximize profits.
- The stress caused her body's condition to worsen (malnutrition, coat and mane loss, etc.)
- Her body got way worse, and to avoid further problems from viewing visitors, she was locked away in a small stone house.
- There was minimal surveillance (they're by the front door) to avoid others from finding her whereabouts.
- She was also too weak to escape, so they didn't really bother creating a well-secured place for her, only focused on hiding her so that no one could take their "asset".
- She stashes some of the pearls she created to push into small openings from the stone wall to hopefully weaken it and create a hole for her to escape.
- She succeeded, but her weakened body was harder to move. Her escape caught the attention of the ones guarding her.
- She ran as fast as her body could and was stopped by a cliff that had a strong river at the bottom. She had to quickly choose whether to jump into the water or hide.
- She ended up jumping into the water, as her idea was to let the water flow carry her somewhere far. It was risky, but she would rather be as far away from the ones chasing her.
- The jump was way riskier, especially due to her condition, but something or someone (thicking of a water fae or god) took pity on her and let her become one with the waters to make the escape easier for her body. (origins of her hair)
- Her abilities allowed her to create her own kingdom by the bodies of water. Without her permission, the place is fully hidden away from the eyes of the public, hence why not many people know of its existence. (I still have to think of a way to incorporate the merfable genetics into her story since Castelle is one hmmm)

As this is gorgeous! Have to try my hand at claiming ;.;

My concept for her would be an unsuspecting Kelpie of sorts. A water monster of myth, yet no one would even think her capable of monstrosities by appearances alone.

A noblewomen within the court who portrays the elegance and poise demanded of her. She is soft spoken, offers kind words and is known as a blessing around the court. She is the embodiment of grace to those around her, yet always followed by mysterious disappearances and pain that none can quite explain.

oh my gooDNESS that's so stunning!!

i too would like to throw my name in for a claim - she would be one of the fae court, a fae prince that is connected to titania, with both of them having connections to ponds and watersources. i'll flesh this out tomorrow if someone isn't chosen by then, my brain is way too fried right now after a long trip haha

Oh my word. This is the prettiest fable ever ;_____; marking because i'm about to run errands but will edit with ideas. Congrats in advance to whoever claims this darling!

Edit: Here are some thoughts!

Name: 霖莲 - Linlian. 霖 meaning continuous heavy rain , 莲 meaning water lily

In my world she would be a deity of highland waters, the counterpart to my Run (named after Ao Run (敖闰) ) who is a deity to the lowland rivers that feed into the sea. Linlian had sacrificed herself to steward the rains that fell high above sealevel.

Linlian had been a normal fable before the duskfall. Soft spoken and kind, everywhere Linlian went she was welcomed. A friend to all, a compassionate presence able to ease even the most guarded of people. Any ire that came her way was redirected with ease, empathy and love suffusing her heart as she proffered it to the world. Loving others unconditionally was her greatest mission.

Like the soft sun dancing upon gentle waters, Run had given her their heart in return.

They had brought out the most vulnerable parts of themselves in each other, her deepest fears assuaged in placid currents and old grief washed away in each others presence. Their waters had intertwined completely. Where one began, the other existed simultaneously, hearts beating in sync.

Yet when the night fell cataclysmic upon the world, it was her heart that unbound itself from the greatest love she'd ever know. The mountains had split that fateful night, the village's terror ringing unceasingly in her soft ears. Without a second thought she had thrown her heart into the floodwaters and chased it, binding the unnatural disaster with her magic before it could claim the lives of those she loved unconditionally. Catastrophic cascades became calm over sheer mountain cliffs, the floods easing back gentle to their rocky creek beds.

With this act, she had given herself wholly to the mountainous waters, her form melding with the rapids to ease them gentle. With this act, she had abandoned Run.

The monument of her sacrifice is displayed mournfully between the torn mountain peaks, the gravity-defying waterfall conjured from her love for the people of the world threaded between the split mountain.

Linlian would be bound to it forever.

    Personality traits:

    - Empathetic
    - Compassionate
    - Duty-driven
    - Self-sacrificing
    - Fearful

let me throw my hat in the claim ring:

she would be Humor, daughter of the water goddess Aquilah and the fire god Inferno. she is the embodiment of spirit - a goddess of souls, essentially. she is a calm goddess, and often walks among mortal fables. she is the goddess prayed to in confessions, the goddess mortals seek when they want to wash their sins from their soul. she is also the goddess invoked when a fable steps into priesthood.

she is also, by extension, a goddess of the arts, as well as a goddess of parties and festivals (although you'd never guess it from her normally mild manner). she enjoys working with mortal artists and inspiring them to create new music or art. she wishes fables would stop attributing their biggest artistic successes to her, because really, it's an insult to their own abilities.

other assorted facts:
- she often helps her mother with various ocean-related duties
- she likes to watch forest fires; she thinks they're gorgeous, and they give so many different plants the chances to thrive. they're a renewal of sorts (it probably helps that fire can't hurt her)
- she likes to garden
- despite her name, she is not actually considered to be a goddess of comedy. that honor goes to her cousin, Dawn, goddess of...you guessed it. the dawn. (and her cousin Dusk is the god of tragedy)

what a dazzling fable, and what fun concepts from everyone else!

I gotta throw in my glove too, absolutely stunning! A creature who is made of water but longs for the sky, a villain to the masses yet they remain unaware. A prompt I've had developed for a while but think would fit perfect! Some part of old lore for different things included! Id love to be considered, I have plenty of tickets available! Congrats to anyone who gets this design, you have outdone youself with this beauty!

Oh blessed Star. As I in the confines of this mortal body am sheltered in your rays. The march of time goes on and my weary body gives out, I know my time is near. I long for the starlight, the moonlight of your gaze from the sky, I long for your companionship in the darkness. But I am worn out by the ocean cursed by the sea, that is where my body will be laid to rest. The tide will pull me out as the current takes me drifting, perhaps the waves will be merciful, not taking me under the moment I reach out. But all will be forgotten in your ray, the sky reflected on my imperfect ocean. That alone may make it a bearable sight to my eyes. That will be enough, all I deserve is a mirage of your greatness as I drift in the sea, its mellow wails nothing compared to your booming explosions. Oh how I long for the sky, the beautiful sky, but I am cursed to the sea, as I should be.

Water was deceptive and cruel
It held the image of peaceful serenity
Yet was waiting to pull you under
Icy cold hands would beckon from the shallows
‘safety’ it would whisper in your ear
Only for you body to sink in if you got to close
The peaceful rush of water was merely a cover
A cover for the rushing current that dragged you along
Pulling, Pulling, Pulling, Release
Only to drag you under once again
Water was deceptive and cruel

Water is a thief
It held the image of the sun
It held the image of the moon
It held the image of the sky
It held the image of the stars
It held my reflection captive in its surface
And when you disappeared under the water
It stole you from my vision
Water is a thief

Water was cold
It turns it’s back on you
When you need it most
It did not come during the drought
It did not leave during the flood
It came and went in a flurry of movements
How frozen it’s heart was
Water was cold

Water was an enchantress
The lulling security it promised
The beauty in its calmness or beauty in it’s rush
All enchanted you deeper
Deeper
Deeper
Deeper
Until you couldn’t get out
You would sink so far no light could be seen
Only water was left
Water was an enchantress

Water was a villain that did not realise it.

Ahhh I’m mobile but I’ll jolt down some ideas and come back to flesh out the idea I have in my head <3

A girl that fallen in love with a noble. The noble also loves her but is ripped from her life when they’re forced into an arranged marriage to benefit the noble family name. They continue their love until one day the fiancé to the noble finds out and makes the lover disappear.

The lover heartbroken begs the deity of the lake she was made to disappear into for another chance at life and they granted her life but this time she’s a fable who the right hand man to the deity bc the deity can’t descend into the mortal land. She finds out the noble she loved passed from a broken heart and weeps and weeps until her mane and tail becomes a waterfall of her tears.

Uh lore idea is something like that.

---
Didn't want to delete the initial lore idea I typed out haha. So you can just read this lower section <3

A more detailed version of the lore above:

The girl was a gardener for the noble's family. She bumps into the noble when they were kids and grew up together spending quality time. When the noble's mother passed, the girl stayed by his side as the father quickly remarried and had his half brother. The noble started feeling isolated from his family and so started spending a lot more time with the girl. They fall in love slowly as they became each other's rock. One day, the noble's father decided to marry them off in an arranged marriage with another noble's family to boost the power and prestige of the family name. They decided to hide their relationship until the noble could find a way to break off the engagement. Unfortunately, the noble's fiance found out and threw the girl into the lake knowing she can't swim.

When the girl passes, her spirit meets the lake deity/guardian for another chance at life, wanting to meet the noble again. It's granted and she become a fable with the caveat that she's going to be the deity's mortal realm representative. The deity can't descend onto the mortal realm as it could cause negative effects to the beings they wanted to protect. When, she finally stabilize and familiarizes herself as a fable, she heads out to look for the noble. However, what she found out instead was the noble's grave. Devastated, she goes searching for answers, ease dropping on conversation within the noble family's estate as the information of his passing was suppressed. When she finally finds out, the noble passed due a broken heart, it crushes her. Deep despair takes over her, as she frantically rushes back to her safe space and weep day and night until her mane and tail becomes a waterfall of her tears.

As the grief soften, she determines to herself to protect the love of others. With her blessings, the lake slowly became to be known as Lovers Lake as it is said, the lake grants loyalty and strength in romantic relationships.

I might as well throw my hat into the ring!

Everything has a name - everything from the smallest clover to the wide, infinite sky. But names are there to be remembered; if you are forgotten, then so too is your name. Names hold power. The strong have well-known names, and the weak have names known only to a few. To be known is to exist.

There lies a village nestled by a river, where the lilies and lotuses blossom in bursts of vibrant and soft pink upon the waters' surface. Long ago, they were renowned for their exquisite silks and embroideries - textiles so fine and vibrant that both mortal royals and divine deities traveled far and wide for their wares. The villagers had been taught their craft by the river herself, who spun thread from her own currents and the petals upon her surface. Her only stipulation was that they never used more than a fourth of the blooms and currents.

The village and its river coexisted in harmony for an age before the son of one of the villagers developed an enterprising greed. He believed the river's rules stood in the way of their village becoming wealthy and powerful. So he traveled with his wares far and wide, selling them for exorbitant prices. His wares caught the eye of an exceptionally wealthy king who demanded a large order of the silks for his upcoming wedding. The villager accepted the commission, and when he returned to the village with his wealth, the rest of the villagers soon gladly agreed to assist to get their share.

The order was so large and the demand for fabric so excessive that the village spun thread from nearly every flower upon the river and every current in the waters. They rejoiced when they received the vast treasures promised to them for the king's order. They had festivities for a week and glutted themselves on delicacies. But when the time came to begin weaving again, the flowers did not bloom, and the currents did not run. The poor river was so diminished that she no longer had the strength to home fish for food nor nourish the land.

The villagers cried out for their river, asking why she no longer fed them. Why she no longer soothed them on warm days. Why they could no longer weave. But the river could no longer answer, for in her weak state she entered into a slumber. Over time the people had no choice but to leave, and as they settled into new homes along new rivers, they forgot the river where they learned to weave - more and more with each new generation. In time, their craft became a folksong and the river's name forgotten entirely.

On the day the river awoke, replenished and vibrant, she too had forgotten her name. She wanders along her shore by the abandoned husks of buildings, with strange memories of weaving and the faint feeling that she is more than the form she finds herself in now.
