Donate Pets from the CS Store Account to the Pound

This is the CS Store’s account. It exists solely for the purpose of distributing purchased C$, items, and store pets to users. Its trading rules even state that it is a system account not checked by any human player.
Would you like to know how many rare+ pets, a majority of them out-of-circulation stores, are sitting in this sitting duck of a system account?
Over 600.

In a time when the pound is already struggling with rare distribution, why are these pets sitting here rotting in a place the majority of the CS userbase doesn’t even know about, where they’ll never reach actual active users? I propose they be donated. We all know the pound needs bolstering, and this seems like a perfect start.

If staff who know any workings of this account that might cause problems with this would like to raise concerns, please do. I just learned about it recently because of how out of the way it is, and am unsure as to how it functions or how user’s pets are placed in the account beyond the obvious case of purchased store pets needing to be taken back due to accidental negative C$ balances. I’m especially confused as to the rereleases and other high demand pets stored in here as well, seemingly unrelated to store proceedings.

Some of them are refunded if users accidentally bought too many because of a lag in the internet or an accidental double click. The trade is reversed by staff, giving them their C$ back.

Some of these also may be related to scams. If a user gets C$ for art, and then buys a bunch of store pets so that they cannot refund the user, staff may reverse these trades so that user can get their C$ back.

Basically, they are pets which should never have existed in the first place because people bought them accidentally or in an attempt to rip off other players.

That makes sense but it doesn't seem logical to have older store pets just laying around, especially when they are not for sale

While there are cases where these pets should not exist, the fact is they do exist. Why not give people a chance at adopting them in the pound? I doubt it will affect the rarities.

While there are cases where these pets should not exist, the fact is they do exist. Why not give people a chance at adopting them in the pound? I doubt it will affect the rarities.

^^^ Exactly this. It seems like the most obvious choice to help the already-struggling pound when the pets aren’t going anywhere and some have been on the account for 10+ years

Gonna have to agree with the above.
If that does occur there can be an issue where someone does that kind of scam en mass just to get some store pets into the pound, but thats kind of a stretch though it would have to be addressed

Are those pets already counted towards pet rarity? If yes, then they won't impact rarity (what I would worry about) and I agree they should be sent to the pound for recirculation.
