Application for Zaherix Part 1/2

Postby Violetglare » Thu Mar 20, 2025 1:27 pm

First zaherix of 2 that I have to make for the application to be valid!

Phenotype: Short furred rosetted tabby. Golden, medium lighter with green eyes and markings.
Genotype: FF/MbMb/MsMs/MtMt/Xr/bb/DD/ww/PwPw/mm/PbPb/AlAl/TaTa/NbNb/rtrt/SpSp/YC/Brbr/gg
Gender: Female

Lmk if this is excessive at all, or if I've made any mistakes!

The spots are a bit excessive. In the new genetic guide Mireya just finished, it specifies that all pattern types are like tabby cat patterns, and therefore, there would be no rosettes in the tail, much less behind the ears. But since the current guide doesn't say so, I can't count it as a mistake, and it's accepted.

Both the drawing and the phenotype, which is what I would need to accept you, are correct, so I think it's fine.

Little details to improve on the phenotype: we like you to put "Green Eyes and markings" and not use all capital letters; it's grammatically incorrect and makes it harder for me to read.

What really has a mistake is the genotype, but don't worry, artists don't make or see genotypes, only phenotypes, so the genes are secret from everyone. Anyway, your genotype overall looks well done. If you'd like me to clarify anything in more detail, we can talk privately on Discord.

EDIT: THE INSIDE OF THE ROSETTES IS ALWAYS DARK!!! Like on page 15 of the stars guide, see?

Ok, thank you for the awesome feedback!! (:
I'm used to drawing unrealistic/abnormal patterns, and I didn't know that rosettes are supposed to have dark insides, my bad!! Sorry about the excess caps in the phenotype, my brain was writing it like a title, whoops :?

I'm almost done the 2nd zaherix for my application, so I'll use this feedback to improve it before I post it :D

OH! I just realized you haven't mentiones the light markings (underbelly) in the phenotype. You need to mention them, I think is... medium lighter (?), not sure, you did't wrote that part of the genotype either so I can't tell for sure the tint.

Whoops!!! I didn't see that when I was going through the genetic guide, that's on me TwT

Would the phrasing medium light cream be correct? Or would there be a better color to reference it as?

The terms we use to describe the light patches tints are: "white", "beige", "light grey" and "lighter". Your's can be referes as beigue or lighter, and as it is very similar to the base color, lighter would be more acurated I think... "lighter" make the patches the same color as the base but with higher brightnes.

Zaherix #09 is a good example of gold with lighter patches, I think is the same you have.

Unles you prefer to call it beige, if you want, it's correct too.
